December 16: 222 (-4)
December 23: 222 (-0)
December 30: 218 (-4)
Long term goal: 140-150
I’m happy I got my post-holiday whoosh early, and feel on track going into 2020 for a pretty long haul. I had 10 straight days at the exact same (222) and proud I didn’t get discouraged, but stayed the course. Twelve pounds for December is amazing to me and completely new territory. The last few days I’ve been sick, so this might be a temporary new low- but I’m claiming it anyway!!
I know it’s been hard for lots of us with different routines the last few weeks. Sending good vibes to y’all!

December 6 -159.8 (I’m happy with this starting weight! I just came off vacation and thought it would be higher!) 😜
December 13 -159.6 (not much of a loss, but at least it’s not a gain!)😳
December 20 - 159.8 If I don’t reach my goal for this month, (if my current weight is any indication, I’m not going to make it!) I’ll focus on not gaining and reset my December goal for January. 🤔
December 29 - 155.6 (Wow! 😀)

Dec 1: 241.6. My goal this month is a little light, i would rather set it to 230, knowing i have some water weight right now, but i also know i have Christmas with both sets of in-laws this month.
Dec 8: out of town, no scale
Dec 15: 239.4. I'll be honest, I am surprised to be below 240 today. I have one more week of school before break, with my husband's birthday and his family's Christmas standing between me and my next weigh-in for this challenge. Don't think I will reach my 235 goal, but I can make small gains and keep from going the other direction. 10 degrees this morning, so going for a run was not going to happen. Hope it warms up a little over break.
Dec 22: 241.3
Dec 30: 240.0 joined Planet Fitness today and did about 15 minutes on the elliptical (I have a house guest and she had just woken up as I was leaving). It is literally across the street from my home, so no excuses. Lol.

@quemalosuerte That's awesome a Planet Fitness is across the street! My gym is 1.5 miles away, lol, nothing to drive but a nice walk.

I am very happy that I made my goal through the Holidays! I am one that loves sweets and snacking through the Holidays typically and I still made my goal. If I can do it through Christmas then I can do it through any time of the rest of the year. Hopefully another one of these will start soon and I will be able to jump on that. Good job and Good Luck moving forward everyone.6 -

I did it! I exceeded my goal just a little and made it to the 140s. Technically that was yesterday's weight but I am keeping it. I had some slip ups this month but otherwise worked very hard. Last year I think I gained 6lb during December so I am especially proud I stuck with my goals.6 -

Watching what I eat during the holiday season is way harder than I had expected. And it did not help that I ate out 5 days within 1.5 week because all my friends from separate groups asked to hang out all within the same time frame. 😅 But some loss is better than none. And the key is to get back up and keep going so that’s what I’ll do. 😁5 -
Heaviest weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
Original MFP starting weight (January 2018) - 168.2
November 30 starting weight - 146.2 (ten-day rolling average weight 144.4)
December goal - 143
Ultimate goal - Range between 142 - 148
I report scale weight and (ten day average weight).
Nov 30: 146.2 (10-day average 144.4)
Dec 7: 145.4 (10-day average 144.7)
Dec 14: 143.8 (10-day average 144.8)
Dec 21: 144.2 (10-day average 144.6)
Dec 28: 144.6 (10-day average 145.0)
Dec 31: 146.4 (10-day average 145.2)
Total loss for December: Scale says I gained the smallest increment it will report - two tenths of a pound. But my scale weight the last day of November was lower than the days around it, so the scale gain is an artifact and why I like to look at trends. But my ten-day average has news I don't want to read - up almost a pound.
Damn.
I am still near the middle of my maintenance range, but it's kind of big (+/- five pounds), and my trending weight hasn't been down to or below my goal weight since early November. I WILL get back there. December has been a relatively small gain; it was October and November that I gained. I seem to have slowed the gain around mid-November before Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. I guess that's something to be glad about. Now my job is to move that trend line back DOWN.
See you in 2020!

I started December 1st with an inflated weight due to my Holiday Dinner the night before. So I am revising my goal to reflect the end of November weight (my lowest) and my goal to lose all of the gain during Thanksgiving plus 5 pounds. Maybe I’m dreaming, but I’m going to give it one heck of a shot!
FEMALE NAMED DONNA – 58 YEARS YOUNG – 5’ 5” TALL – FROM THE MIDWEST USA
Highest Weight Ever: 253 (2014/2015)
Starting Weight on current diet/journey : 235 on 1/11/2018
NOVEMBER ENDING WEIGHT: 182.4
DECEMBER GOAL: 177.4
DECEMBER ACTUAL: 191.2
Weight Loss so far for this challenge:
Weight/Comment:
Dec 01- 187.4 Thanksgiving Dinner last night. Need I say more?
Dec 03- 183.6 Whoosh! Okay, still a bit up from before Thanksgiving dinner but I’m happy with this (for now).
Dec 10- 188.4 This is what pasta from a dinner invite look like on me. Back to basics today!
Dec 17- 187.7 . This really sux.
Dec 24- 192.0 From bad to worse. And the festivities and travel are not over with yet! January will be my redeeming grace!
Dec 31- 191.2 Epic Fail during this heavily celebrated month which also involved lots of travel. I’m back on the job and ready to get it done!
Final Challenge Thoughts: I was hoping that this year would be better than last year on my progress during December but it was not. I will enter into January with millions of others making the resolution to lose weight and get healthier. See you all in the next round!

Well, I missed a few weigh-ins along the way, and haven't really changes in the last couple of weeks, but happy to have ended the year down a few kg, and sitting just inside "normal" bmi. I did hit a low of 65.0kg during the last week, but it didn't stick around (yet!). Slow progress is still progress, right?
