12/22 …..187.8 ….. Okay, that’s better. Today is a pizza party (with cake and ice cream) for the 3rd birthday of DGS #3. The last of the 3 birthday parties this month. I worked hard yesterday to achieve this drop on the scale, so…. While I will enjoy a little pizza & cake, I WILL NOT turn this into a reason to binge all night! Quilting Jaine is back and if I don’t whip myself back into shape, she will kindly do it for me, so control is the name of the game today. Welcome back Jaine! Clearly you’ve been missed. I have missed your positive impact, but am glad that you were able to have a wonderful getaway.
12/23 …..190.2 ….. I enjoyed the birthday party a little too much maybe? Today I am babysitting DGS #4. If he lets me (age 2) I will get my baking, fudge and sweet breads out of the way. I will stay away from taste-testing. Today will be a low cal/low carb day.
12/24 …..192.0 ….. The best laid plans of mice and men. Big family dinner tomorrow chock full of desserts and carbs and sweet alcoholic drinks. My weigh-in on the 26th will be the WORST! The 26th or 27th will be out of town travel (not sure which day yet). This round will not end nicely but hopefully I will be making memories with family that I will never forget.

12/19 60.05kg. Think I'm resigned to maintaining for the next week. It's Christmas time and I'm on holiday. Going to keep up the strength training and swimming and not gain!
12/20 60.0kg. Maintaining but using macros for a slightly lower weight to help keep in control. Still on the weight training and swimming but might have a rest day tomorrow. Logged on for 350 days today!

12/22 60.6kg....kind of maintenance. Need to rein in the calories. Rest day yesterday now I need to do some training and some moving!

Back to life! Back to reality!
Last year, my goal was to get down below 160, to allow me to enjoy the indulgences of holidays and celebrations.
This year, I exceeded that and have been below 150 for most of the last 2 months.
Last year, I put on 10 lbs over the last 2 months of the year.
This year, I have consistently lost weight since the end of July. I have put on about 4lbs over the Christmas break, but am still below my original 2019 goal.
That's a WIN in my book! And I still have 4 days to drop some of that overage before the year ends.
[/b]I have already hit my 2019 goal. The trick now is to stay there as I travel through the minefield of December. 😂
I need this more than ever now that I am in maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

19/12: 147.8: Goals 🎄 The temptations at these festive social events are hard to resist. There is bound to be a bounce up in consequence. No more now until family arrives on Christmas Eve, so will be taking remedial action until then.
20/12: 149.2: Goals 🎄 This is why monitoring my weight is so important. Despite choosing small tasters, and seeming to be being under goal each day, 4 days of festive social gatherings this week have created an inevitable rise. It's so difficult to log accurately that which others have provided.
21/12: 149.4: Goals All my groups have now stopped for the holiday. Hopefully, weight will go back down before Christmas, as I have no more social events in the offing. This has still been the best I have done at this time of the year for many decades, so I’m over the moon!
22/12: 149.2: Goals 🎄 We caught an early train to Belfast yesterday for shopping. Lots of steps! There's a bit of healthy competition between DH and me since I bought him his Fitbit. 😂

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 99 (round 31 for me ) I'm in for another round, can't believe how many I've completed already! I need to try to keep in control over Christmas and the celebration season I'd like to stay stable during this round !!

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !

12/20 134.6 – 2.43 miles only walked yesterday, very sore today due to a combination of back bends at yoga on Wednesday & soft play with my two toddler grand children yesterday lol!! Bad day eating yesterday .
12/21 135.6 – 4.14 miles walked yesterday – rain !! A big late xmas meal out last night ate late & not healthy!! Why can you out on a pound a day, btu never lose a pound a day? One more celebration (tonight) and then no more until xmas day itself so 3 days to try to pull back before then!! But you know what, Christmas comes just once a year and then I can get right back on the horse !!

12/19 152.8 (-2.8) I'm super happy but not surprised by this loss, yesterdays' weight-in was after a dinner and this morning after a long fast period, the two extremes for me! I expect the weight to go back up over the next two days as I have diners tonight and tomorrow. At last things are less busy, today is a much quieter day in the office as most of my colleagues have already left for their holidays and I think there are three of us left I plan on going to the gym during my lunch break. Oh and I forgot to tell you, 2 weeks ago I ordered clothes as everything is too big now, especially my office clothes, but I ended up sending everything back as it was all to big, I had ordered one size smaller but I needed 2 if not 3 sizes down! Now I'm waiting for the sales as it's just in a couple of weeks

So Christmas has been a washout, my father was hospitalized on the 24th and I've been running around since. I still did Christmas lunch for the family on the 25th for the kids, I didn't really pay attention to what was eaten. Also I've got sciatica on my right side so I saw doc on the 26th who told me it was a consequence of tendinitis in my hip muscle and to rest, some walking but no vigorous exercise until it gets better. Lets hope 2020 starts better than 2019 is ending!

Ending Average- 150.25 Not bad for December. Strong weekend of workouts and clean eating planned. My husband and I have a little get away planned for New Years which will be my last Holiday bump.
Setting my intentions for 2020. Lol I’d love to get back to 5lbs per month and be in maintenance by the summer but Reality is dictating that if I work really, really hard I might be able to do 2.5lbs per month and hit my goal by the end of the year. If I get really honest with myself i have to accept it might be 1lb per month and 2 years to reach my goal.
So I have to put my blinders on and keep focusing on each round getting my average down by any number.7 -

12/19: 276.4 (-2 lbs) I wasn't expecting to lose any weight, (just stay the same) I'm surprised that I did. Happy with the result,
12/20: 276.2 (-2oz) Ate a little to much yesterday, and didn't meet my goal to stay at or under calorie amount for the day. I still lost 2 ozs. Much better then gaining, will try to do better today. Be more mindful of what goes into my mouth.
12/21: 275 (-1.2 lbs) I did have some sugar cookies that were given to me, but I try to include whatever I eat into my daily calories and try to stay under. Which I managed to do yesterday. I try to keep my meals healthy, and be mindful of what I eat most days. Happy to have lost more weight. I try to stay under what MFP sets for me.
12/22: 272.8 (-2.2 lbs) I think this weight loss is due to my dinner not agreeing with me, upset my tummy yesterday. I think that's the only thing it could be, because I actually ate just a little over 300 calories more than the day before. I was still under calories so I didn't go over.
I'm Happy either way, because it's been a long time since I've been able to get below 275 lbs. Which was my goal for this round. From here on I'll just take it one day at a time and see how it goes.
12/23: 272.8 (-o.o) Holding steadyl! At least no gain.
12/24: 274.4 (+1.6) Wow 😠 I think it's all the stress and pain I'm in.😱 Probably retaining some water. I stayed under my calories. and my food intake wasn't to bad. It should disappear before this round is over. Hopefully 🙁

BF really helped me with all the extra calories over Christmas. Yesterday, I made sure to drink 3 liters of water and eat my normal foods, so lost some water weight. I liked @lalabank ‘s reflection that a slower pace is still a positive!

Salt. I ate out twice yesterday and Thai food the day before. Not too overboard on calories, but lots of sodium — I feel parched and puffy! Nothing scheduled today or tomorrow so I’ll aim low. Okay! I’m not quite back on track today as I plan to make a mince pie (didn’t get any on Christmas), but I’m inviting friends over so I can’t eat too much of it. Still hoping to get back to my R99 start weight by the start of (holy moly!) R100. I hope those of you who celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah and Kwanza and other feasts of the season have found peace and joy and love.

Since I slept through Christmas (sick), we went out yesterday for turkey and fixins and I made (and ate happily) mince pie in the evening, so this gain seems right. Not way over calories, but of course lots of sodium. But it’s ok. Crazy food season will be over soon. I have to bake for a gathering Sunday and for a memorial service later in the week, but luckily I have to deliver the goods unnibbled. I’m confident this holiday weight is mostly water and “carb water,” and I’m looking forward to a downward trend in the new year and next few rounds.

12/22 126.5 Before this 2 week trip, I had been hovering about 6# below my goal weight. I planned to allow myself to eat what tasted good so had bread at dinner each night and tried some extravagant desserts. That’s over now and I’m back to low carb. Carbs kill me!
12/23 124.5 OMAD yesterday, fasting today until tomorrow for traditional Christmas Eve pizza.
12/24 124.0 My fast only lasted 27.5 hours - coffee, tea, water, homemade chicken broth. I added pink Himalayan salt to the broth so may be hanging on to water. That’s okay, I’m fighting a head cold and feel as if my face will explode. Pizza tonight with the fam. I will eat toppings and a salad.

12/28 - 155.9 - I'm not sure this is accurate. My scale looked like it was on the fritz. It decided it needed all my information put in all over again (multiple user settings), went straight up to 155.9 and wouldn't budge. Swaying, bouncing, moving around (which usually will move the numbers around until I stand still) and it would stay steady at 155.9, no movement. But I stood on it 3 more times after allowing it to zero out and it jumped straight to that number, not showing any other number except 0.0 (not even the process of standing on it, it kinda froze then showed 155.9). I'll just call it. Motivation to keep going. TOM will be around the end of next round so not sure if I'll see progress but we shall have to see. Hopefully its just being weird today and will be better tomorrow. Definitely bloated so I estimate I'm about where I was yesterday, maybe a little up, likely from the salty dinner last night. Today is a calm day so maybe I'll get a better reading tomorrow. I'll definitely watch my intake today (especially sodium) to see if the scale weight is justified.
Previous Day's Comments12/19 - I'm not sure how accurate this is. I took off work today because for the second night in a row I was up with horrid coughing fits until the wee hours of the morning (3 am, I wake up for work at 5). I feel fine this morning but it seems once I've been upright then go to lay down, I'm done for. Not sure what's going on. I decided to take the day off after I started feeling feverish and I was throwing up from coughing so hard. Now all I feel is a sore nose and throat. Going to take it easy and rest today in hopes tonight is better. I'd be really surprised if this weight stuck since I know I'm dehydrated regardless of all attempts to keep liquids in. Have soups and soothing foods at home so I'll be focusing on those. Hello sodium (:
12/20 - Much better sleep with the help of meds and I feel much better today. I can still tell I'm battling, but having a full night's rest definitely improved things for me. Nothing planned today but rest as I'm quarantined. Lots of fluids, healthy foods, and being lazy (despite the unavoidable boredom since I don't know how to sit still)
12/21 - I'm really surprised I'm still dropping. I thought for sure by now I'd start bumping up a little. Guess not. I'm okay with it simply because it is slow and steady, not sudden. I'm off quarantine now, still on meds, so I'm going to try to venture outside for some fresh air and sunshine. I'm so sick of this house right now haha
12/22 - This is what I've been expecting the last couple of days. I'm not quite sure what caused it but I think it may be a late dinner. I took my meds too early in the evening Friday night so I was up coughing the majority of the night. My meds make me very very nauseous if I don't eat so I had to force feed myself dinner (appetite is GONE) about 45 minutes before bed. Grilled cheese because I needed something bland. I'm okay with the bump, though. I'm cooking breakfast and dreading eating it but the meds help so much I have to. Only have to make it through Thursday morning with meds and I'm free!! Hopefully when this is all over I can resume building up a fasting period (I was up to about 13-14 hours depending on the day) and I want to get back to 16 minimum. Food is almost gone so if I can make it through the 30th with what's in my house, I'll go shop budget primal and get back on that. Lots of goals for the remainder of the year!
12/23 - Bouncy bouncy. Managed to get some kind of sleep last night with only a couple coughing fits. Little bit at a time I suppose. At work, feels weird being awake this early after 4 days of sleeping in (mainly due to being up most of the night). I feel okay so far but usually first thing in the morning I feel okay. Its once I get hydrated and moving things start to get a little ugly. We shall see. I have an office so I plan on hiding in here just in case. Brought in breakfast (which is weird) so I can take my meds. Usually can't eat first thing so hopefully I get decently hungry in the next couple hours to stay on my med schedule. Also brought lunch so I can munch on something, even if I'm not super hungry.
12/24 - More of that bounciness. I'm dehydrated since I spent several hours in the plant without access to water then couldn't make it up before bed. Today should be better as I don't foresee going into the plant for any reason today. Going to a coworker's tonight to spend Christmas with her family so I'm not alone. Won't have a scale tomorrow so I'll just have to wait and see how Thursday looks (: Merry Christmas!!!!

12/26 - I'll take it, considering the mess of the last couple days. It'll drop off quickly, I think. Christmas at coworker's was a little hectic. She was sick, I'm still recovering, and food was all over the place. Ended up eating a poptart (which I hate) for breakfast just so I could take my meds. Not a lot of water, either. Today is recovery and back to normal again. Should be normal from here on out, too. Hoping I can still make the end of the round with a little drop (hoping 153.x but I'm happy even with this weight as it is still a drop from R98 EW)
12/27 - Bit of snacking and had a pretty heavy lunch. Late dinner because I was too busy socializing. It happens, ah well. I have today to make an improvement and honestly, I think I got this. I started off with a bit of a fast. Today is my first day back off antibiotics so I don't have to eat breakfast anymore. Dinner was rather small so I got hungry pretty quickly, but I was able to postpone eating a little bit. A little longer every day should get me back to my 16+ hour fasts fairly quickly. As long as I don't gain by tomorrow morning, I'll be happy. I've then managed to end lower than I ended last round and that's progress to me.

Quilting Jaine is back and if I don’t whip myself back into shape, she will kindly do it for me, so control is the name of the game today. Welcome back Jaine! Clearly you’ve been missed. 12/24 …..192.0 ….. The best laid plans of mice and men. Big family dinner tomorrow chock full of desserts and carbs and sweet alcoholic drinks. My weigh-in on the 26th will be the WORST! The 26th or 27th will be out of town travel (not sure which day yet). This round will not end nicely but hopefully I will be making memories with family that I will never forget.

Actually, I'm feeling quite a bit ahead of where I usually am at this time of year. Typically, I use New Years as a restart for all the bad habits and extra weight I've put on but not this time. I'm down over 16 pounds for the year, definitely a win. Slow and steady is my middle name. Headed to the gym this morning - legs and shoulders. I'm not going to pickle because I plan to play Saturday and Sunday.

12/19: 218.6 (-0.8)/18.3 (-0.1). I've been sick for the past couple of days. If I could keep up being sick for about a month, I think I'd hit my goal weight! I'm feeling better today, so I'll just keep chugging along and doing this the old-fashioned way. I probably won't get to the gym until Friday (still feeling a bit under the weather).
12/20: 219.2 (+0.6)/18.4 (+0.1). Two things - first, I need to cross a premade meal that I like a lot off my list. My wife doesn't really like it, and I have trouble saving any of it (splitting it for dinner and then lunch). It's the devil, and we need to part ways. Lastly, my gas got shut off yesterday (long story, but apparently they can't transfer the autopayment from my previous location to my house, even though they're the same company). So I was cold. I think I wanted to use this as an excuse for eating all of my lovely premade dinner, but I have to call BS on myself. That dinner has to go!
12/21: 217.8 (-1.4)/ 18.3 (-0.3). Being sick isn't fun, but my appetite sucks, so that's a little bonus. My gas got turned back on yesterday, so at least I wasn't cold. I'm going to try to chill today. I'm still sick, but I felt as good without medicine this morning as I felt at any time yesterday on medicine. After taking medicine, I'm feeling better than I have in days. Still sucky, but better.

I'm hoping I feel good enough to go to the gym tomorrow, but I'm really focused this weekend on simply recovering as completely as I can.

69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Now I'm waiting to get my hip fixed. Hip Doc said surgery in April. Ugh! I can't do any walking or biking...both kill me. I see my personal trainer three times a week. She is taking it very slow and easy with me. That's it.

12/19 - 146 (BF 33.4%, MM 62.8%) - After a lot of stress during work, I folded and ate a peanut butter blossom yesterday along with a few other goodies scattered around the office. I took tomorrow off work as my family is taking me to see "Christmas Vacation" with a live appearance from Chevy Chase for my birthday tomorrow and I also have to renew my driver's license. I'm going to fudge the number and put 140 lbs. and make that my goal for next year...for my weight to match my license. Last year when my weight went below my driver's license weight of 160 lbs. (and I had fudged that one!) I wanted to run down to the BMV and get a new one, but in Ohio, we only renew every 4 years.

12/24 163.4 lbs. I have been goodie sampling a lot but picking what I really want to eat at meals, leaving out potatoes and bread, etc. This is great but it's going to catch up with me. Christmas today and tomorrow and my grandson's baptism over the weekend coming up.
