Good morning! I'm not sure what my deal is lately, my eating has been getting out of control. I think I may need to change my personal Easter challenge back to calories to see if that will help me get back on track.

Here I am again saying “I’ve read and caught up”. I’m not going to bother saying I’ll do better.

I’m really struggling right now. I don’t feel I should be at work, I think they shouldn’t have come up with a plan for the administration staff to work from home. We are an essential service but I think that’s more the clinical side than the admin side. There are 10 of us that don’t need to be coming into the facility in my opinion. My greatest fear is that I pick something up and take it to our residents. Because of this fear I am not sleeping well and finding it very hard to concentrate at work.

Rodger is doing so well, he is now exercising at home and keeping up with his diet. I’m so proud of him!

I’ll try to do better, I miss you all!

    I love you!❤

JFT F 3/27 ~ keeping things simple during state's Safer At Home order
    1) Move hourly (pace if I have to) / 5 somethings (try to remember!)
    2) Net calories green / 14c water
    3) Work at home / weekly status reports (funny, these will never go away) / back up work
    4) Walk with dog
    5) Floss / retainers

It's a cloudy, dreary day, and temp probably won't reach 50F if sun doesn't come out. So I decided to delay my virtual 10K race until next week when weather improves. And after longest dog walk lately of just over 5 miles yesterday, I think that's best for me and dog. I'll change clothes and walk shortly after hubby leaves for work soon.

    🐰Let’s get Hop! Hop! Hopping!🐰
    🐰Hit your Daily Step Goal🐰
    🐰Earn an Easter Bunny🐰
    Name: Carmela
My daily bunny goal is 10,000 steps even though that's a stretch on rest or x-training days. Will be interesting to see total steps, hourly steps & floors, now that I'm not working in my third floor office.
    Daily Step Goal: 10,000

Tough day “at work”. Nearly lost it by 2pm in front of my boss and peers. Everyone arguing and contrary all day long, no one being helpful. It was the end of a hard week. Nowhere near as hard as those in nursing homes (much gratitude to you @Snowflake1968!) or otherwise on the front lines. We are second tier—making the things to help save lives—so I know to be grateful that my “hard” day is about emotions and arguments not physical threat. I got it together after going for a run and finished the day well. Also green for calories. Hope the scale eventually rewards me—it’s been “mean” this week.

    Daily habits: track, exercise, journal
    Action Plan
    1. No alarm wake, pill, walk +squats + dumbbell row, yoga, pill
    2. Healthy breakfast
    3. Drink water
    4. Buy salad
    5. Go through clothes and put away bigger sizes
    6. Goals and Objectives work
    7. Meditate!
    8. Prep salads for next 2 lunches
    9. Upstairs by 10, journal, lights out 10:30

@AJB1014 - What a beautiful baby! A little Ray of sunshine on this grey NJ morning!
@maryrobinson40 - Thank you for that beautiful picture of the ocean. So soothing and just what I need today.

I haven't checked in or set goals for a couple of days. I spent the very early hours of Thursday morning setting up my bedroom and bath as a quarantine suite. My husband's building was closed after two employees reported that they were ill, one with a positive test for Covid-19, the other as yet unconfirmed. So I've been riding the anxiety roller coaster and doing my best to keep up with work.

I have an online appointment with one of my students this morning and will try to catch up with grading and some chores on this rainy day. I'll check in with my mom and my kids, fix some healthy meals, and remind myself to breathe.

Keeping you all in my thoughts today as we struggle through these difficult times. Take care of yourselves <3

@Faebert - are your schools opening for essential worker children only? Our schools are closed until September. They closed them about 3 weeks ago and didn’t even try doing the 2 week thing just closed indefinitely.

@Kuhl50 - thank you for continuing to work. I think there is an underlying stress that we’re not even aware of and it’s causing a lot of emotions in people. It’s a whole new world that none of us is prepared for.

Wow...I'm ten pages behind! It's my own fault! Lol. I've been away for a while. Tbh, there hasn't really been a reason either. I've been staying away from social media and the news for the most part. Matt's been keeping up with the latest Covid-19 news in our state and it is not encouraging. And pretty much everything in our state has shut down. This is going to be a blow to small businesses and service workers. But that is all I am going to say on the matter.

Matt has been out of work for the last week but is still getting paid, thank goodness. I have been fighting with the insurance company about my disability because our outsourced HR company didn't send them the correct form. Then they had the wrong last day of work on file so they, in turn, had to email my company's HR dept to verify the date. I have documentation from my doctor that states the correct last day of work and the date of my surgery if they want to fight me about it. When I called the insurance company on Wednesday I made sure that woman CCed me on the email she sent to the HR dept so I've been kept up to date. Now I'm just waiting on the reply from my HR dept with the verified date. So hopefully she'll send that reply on Monday and then this ball can get rolling again.

My next follow up appt from my surgery is on Tuesday. I should be able to get my return to work paperwork signed then. So then I can sign up for unemployment and get more money that way. Tbh, with Matt getting paid and being able to defer some of our bills we may actually make out ahead with all of this. We'll be able to pay the electric bill which has been hanging over our heads and get some money into savings. Thank you, Lord!

Okay, I don't really have many things on my to-do list but I can make a small list.

    JFT, 3/28/20

    - Spend time with Matt
    - Read one chapter
    - Write one chapter

Yes @snowflake1968 we are staying open for key worker and vulnerable children only through this whole thing, so even through what would normally be school holidays. With numbers so low, it’s hoped that we can maintain distancing a little and try and keep everyone safe. But thankfully children seem to deal pretty well with this virus so it’s about staff being sensible too.
