Lucca, Italy. so quiet, not too busy comparable to other parts of italy in summer, quaint, scenic. incredible food, gelato, wine, walkways on a wall that surrounds the city.

Please share places you've been and found the most beautiful or captivating of all?

I love my home state of Vermont; it's such a beautiful area in every season. New Hampshire also has some gorgeous mountain areas and water falls. I think the coast of Maine is also amazing. North Carolina is gorgeous with their mountain views.
But having visited Iceland last fall, I have to say that place is gorgeous. The Black Sand beaches, the ocean views. The water falls are breath-taking. The Blue Lagoon was pretty, if you'd just make all the other tourists go away. :)

I haven't been to very many places but would love to travel more.
    Please share your travel experiences?

From Northern NJ...LOVE Acadia National Park and Maine (been 3x)
    Kauai Hawaii probably a second

How are those tropical Islands around the Caribbean compared to the Hawaiian Islands? Which one is better?

Well I have only been to Oahu. From what I have heard from others and pictures I have seen of their travels, all of the Hawaiian islands are beautiful.

Everywhere in the Caribbean that I have been has been beautiful too. So far, that’s Dominican Republic, Aruba, and Puerto Rico.

Yosemite. The first glimpse of El Capitan will take your breath.

Agreed. The first time I saw it, I went home, gave my job a month's notice and moved just outside the south entrance. I didn't know a soul there, ended up staying for 25 years until divorce and fire danger chased me away. At least I still get to go visit a couple of times a year!
And now I live near Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, so much to explore.

Nowdays, it's hard to recognize anything as it's a mosh pit in there with guards yelling at you to keep moving.

The Grand Canyon is pretty awesome. I only saw it on tour in a little puddle jumper plane, but it was pretty amazing.

Alaska was amazing, I went last year. If you want to visit then you need to go soon, the climate is changing up there...

I did a cruise and land tour and enjoyed the land tour more. My recommendation is skip the cruise, rent an RV, and enjoy.

We did a 7 day cruise in Alaska and I hate cruises but we went to celebrate a family member bday. I sooooo want to go back and to do a land tour only because Alaska is so beautiful I can get more appreciation being on land and touring than being on a cruise

We just got back from Iceland in all its natural glory and thousands of waterfalls. It's definitely one of the most beautiful places I've been to.
