For me, its hard to top the villages of Varenna and Bellagio on Lake Como in the Italian Alps. Lake Como is a very large, clear mountain lake with quaint little villages along the steep mountainous shoreline. A short winding drive up the mountainside for an al fresco lunch lets you enjoy the spectacular views as you look north up the lake at the snow covered Swiss Alps.

Costa Rica for sure. It's been a decade since I went and I'm still talking about how beautiful it was.
Wales is also very nice.0 -
Vermont is beautiful to me i enjoy visiting my home town when i can. Beautiful green. Compared to Colorado, being all dried up. Yeah Colorado has nice weather, but i dont enjoy the colors as much ,as the east coast.0

Please share places you've been and found the most beautiful or captivating of all?
I love my home state of Vermont; it's such a beautiful area in every season. New Hampshire also has some gorgeous mountain areas and water falls. I think the coast of Maine is also amazing. North Carolina is gorgeous with their mountain views.
But having visited Iceland last fall, I have to say that place is gorgeous. The Black Sand beaches, the ocean views. The water falls are breath-taking. The Blue Lagoon was pretty, if you'd just make all the other tourists go away.
I haven't been to very many places but would love to travel more.
Please share your travel experiences?

I like Algonquin park in Ontario. When I was about 20 I biked there with my camping gear and spend about a week riding trails.4

I’ve been to a lot of beautiful places. It’s hard to choose. I was just at Lake Tahoe this weekend — it takes up a lot of space in my heart.

I'm there a lot. It never gets old, I never get used to how breathtaking it is. Got a nice winter halo effect in the sky last time out.

Great Mercury Island just a bit off the coast of mainland NZ. - The island itself is just "ok" (very green, many sheep, nearly no people) but I never have seen so, so many stars at night because there is basically no light pollution.
I want to go back just for the star gazing, even IF that place gave me the worst hay fever I ever had in my life.0 -
Wyoming for me - I intend to move there eventually6 -
