For bake sales you could package things smaller, so for example make banana bread in those disposable 3x5" tins. After they are completely cooled, I put in an open-ended 1 QT food storage bag (so not ziplock) and tie with a ribbon that I curl with a knife.

If you make several dozen cookies, you can also package them in 1 QT food storage bags with ribbons. Quantity will depend on size of cookies, but again, since it is a bake sale, less than if you were giving as a gift.

You could ask the organizer for suggestions.

Everyone I bake for loves these Classic Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies. There was a Christmas cookie thread here last year that might give you some ideas - one idea I got from it was to use chocolate stars instead of the Kisses. (If you have someone to delegate unwrapping the Kisses, you'll appreciate that.)

This thread is from 2018 and might have some inspiration for you - I was looking from the one from 2019, which had more food porn: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10711772/christmas-goodies-youre-excited-for/p1

I don't have any suggestions but I think it's hilarious that the person who probably posts the most pics of baked goods has this dilemma. :)

My first answer was going to be "Whatever you feel like baking" but I decided more help was in order

You can adapt any muffin recipe to bake in those small disposable tins also.

Whatever you make, just be sure to give an ingredient list. As someone with allergies, this is a must for me.

Bar cookies and brownies always seem to sell well at the bake sales I've seen.

Carrot cake with pineapple and raisins.

Carrot cake with pineapple and raisins is what I'm going to make for my brother's bday later this month. With cream cheese frosting.

Aquafaba cookies. I like to bust them out on people, and tell them what they are after they’ve eaten them. They absolutely love them til I tell them, and then you’d think I was feeding them something made with cricket flour.

    Anything but rice krispie treats.

How comfortable are you with your baking abilities? When I go to bake sales, I make cream puffs. I bake the choux paste and take the whipped cream with me. Fill them upon purchase and they can be taken home or eaten right there. I usually sell out in the first 30 minutes.

Oh my goodness, this is such a fun idea! I've never seen this, but I am not surprised they sell out quickly.

I live in Wisconsin where cream puffs are kind of an obsession. Anything to show off our dairy.

I'd take the easy route and just make oatmeal butterscotch and oatmeal raisin cookies. Pretty cheap to make several dozen and hard to screw up. People love 'em.

@seltzermint555 I've never heard of oatmeal butterscotch cookies! Do you have a link to a recipe?

I have my recipe at home and it predates all the typical internet sites I think - but I just sub butterscotch chips for the raisins in an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie recipe! People seem to love them. My mom calls them "oatmeal scotchies".

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Some really solid ideas... thinking I will do whoppie pies. Seems easy enough. My biggest concern is on how to plate and package...

Brownies, Nanaimo Bars and Lemon Squares are usually good bets, as are most cookies.

How big are you going to make them? The ones around here would fit in a gallon open ended food storage bag, which you can close with a ribbon.
