I'm into metalcore tooooo.... It's not *all* I listen to, but it's what I listen to most! My favorite bands are Thrice and Brand New, which are not metal at all... but here are some bands I listen to a lot:

Of Mice & Men, The Word Alive, Blessthefall, Bring Me The Horizon, We Came As Romans, Parkway Drive, Memphis May Fire, August Burns Red, D.R.U.G.S, Issues (I used to like Woe, when Number came out)...... there are quite a few more, but that's what rounds out my playlist right now. And like I said, it's not all of what I listen to. I like a lot of indie alternative type rock too. (Dance Gavin Dance, Coheed and Cambria, Rise Against, Tides of Man..... ) Alright, that's enough. haha.

I've also seen almost all of these bands live. :)
Crowdsurfing burns a few calories. ;)

I prefer their 2006 release With Oden On Our Side, but I've been giving the new one from Amon Amarth some time too.

I'm IN LOVE with Sevendust- most of their songs are about love and break ups and the singers voice is SUPER burly and sexy... okay bringing myself back.

Lamb of God is another good one- always gets me riled up.

Feel free to add me and thanks for posting this- fun topic!

Being in my early 40's I have tried to instill in my kids a wide variety of musical taste from Alice in Chains to Metallica to Johnny Cash and everything in between. However for a good workout a mix of Lamb of God, Amon Amarth, Rammstein, Ministry, the Prodigy, Rage against the Machine etc will always hit the spot.
However, the absolute best workout music would have to be Pantera. If you've seen the energy they had live, you can't help but throw those kettlebells harder and run faster.

I wont say I'm new to metal, but I guess more into exploring it lately. I have friends who are big metal heads who would take me to shows and ect ect. I guess I was wrapped up in my own love for hardcore hiphop, anywho this pass week I've been listening to a lot of Slayer, and Maiden while I work out.

I LOVE metal when I'm doing cardio. It definitely helps me go the extra distance. I just do a Killswitch Pandora station and rock it out as I run it out.
