Curious to know what are some products you tried after hearing rave reviews, but were ultimately disappointed in?

For me it is the Birch Bender's Magic Syrup and Kite Hill yogurt.

I tried a Buff Bakes combo pack, due to the "new products" thread, way back. Everything was disgusting!

I haven't tasted most of their products but from long ago I remember that some flavors of their protein powder are pretty good, especially salted caramel and vanilla. Maybe they've changed.

Halo Top, yuck! Walden Farms, don't know how people can eat that stuff. My favorite salad dressing is poppyseed and Skinny Girl's is often recommended, it's super sweet and I love sweet but not that much! The best I've found of a lightened one is Panera though I bought stuff to make my own. Fiber One brownies are another thing that are recommended often. They're not horrible but not worth the calories.

I tried a delicious but outrageously expensive granola bought at the shop attached to Yotam Ottolenghi's restaurant.

    https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/search/products/?q=tobias

Then I found the recipe online because a food blogger typed it in from one of his cookbooks.

Putting it in the recipe builder I discovered a 50 gram serving of dry granola was 460 kcal.

halo top and the other low calorie ice creams - if i want it, i'm going for haggan daaz or similar - i might get a small serving but it will be good

cauliflower pizza crust - why just why

kodiak cakes - i don't hate hate them, but i prefer the birch bark protein pancakes better - the kodiak ones always seem to need some sugar or something to make them taste better

were you disappointed solely for the calories? unfortunately, in general i find granola to be a huge calorie suck - and you don't get a lot of granola for its calories

    Anything zero calorie.
Salad dressings, syrups, coffee syrups, etc. Yuck.
I've tried so many brands and finally gave up because they all have that nasty, chemical, artificial taste to them.

Also, this ice cream. Judging by the picture, you'd assume it has a lot of oreo pieces in it, right? WRONG. I think in the entire half gallon, there was maybe three pieces total. And I wish that were an exaggeration.

To remember, we always say "Breyer's is bad, Dreyer's is damn good." The names are too close to remember!
