found a place, it's further away from this one park that kirby would have liked to be close to (where we start the marathon run every year) but he found there is another park close by so he's good with that AND it has a 2 car garage! bonus for him. we'll see what we end up getting.
*kitten* is getting real...
Good for the exercise equipment!
Sounds like you're moving to a place that will be good for running ... and cycling too??
We like our proximity to the beach, but the hills do make cycling very challenging. One day I'd like to move to an area where we've got more options.

Did a Dressed Up Brills Body Weight DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do a 10 Pounds Down DVD
Steve left early today to go to FL to buy a new car. He think he’ll be back in a few weeks with the new car. Then he’ll fly to FL and drive his other car back up
Regarding the COVID appp – like M, I just have the ability to install it if I wish
Jessica has checks from before our bank was bought out by another one, and that happened MANY years ago.
Pip – Jess got her cat certified as a “therapy” cat. You should see the letter from the psychologist. What bs! But I know the psychologist just did this. The reason she had her cat certified was so that she wouldn’t have to pay the fee to her apt. at school. It would have cost something like $50 a month otherwise. You might want to look into having the dogs certified. To me, how ridiculous. If you have a “therapy” animal, they can’t charge you. Why wouldn’t someone get their animal certified?
Finished the shawl and started on the Mile a Minute blanket. Wonder if I'll need more yarn?
Get this -- according to MFP I have a streak of 1 day!
It's supposed to be in the high 80's today. As I recall, the pool temp was something like 82 yesterday. guess where I'll be today?

exermom bootz is a retired therapy cat. i used to take her to hospitals to visit patients. we were with the pet partners organization. i let her certification expirre. you have to get tested every 2 years. i think this other organization (therapy dogs international) are more lenient and don't require the repeated testing from what i heard.) pet partners is the strictest to get certified. as obidient as yogi is, there are a couple of tests that he would fail at.2

Machka - I haven't used cheques in close to 20 years I don't think. I can't remember the last time I wrote one. I receive them regularly through work as some of our families don't like the idea of auto withdrawal.
I use a prepaid credit card for online purchases. It is linked to my bank account for me to reload funds, but you can't get to my bank account if it was tried to be used for fraudulent purposes. I have found this the least risk as I only put the money on it when I need it so even if the wrong hands tried to use it they wouldn't get anything. I pay all of our bills online through online banking.
Debby - I didn't know that was a thing, but I just went and checked it out. I didn't activate it. Our province has created a tracing app as well for tracking Covid cases. I haven't downloaded it either. I have thought about it, but I think it's just something I would worry about more than necessary.
Lisa - It is pricey for companies to process credit cards. One of the biggest "scams" that our previous government changed was not allowing the expiry on gift cards and gift certificates. It was found that there was billions of dollars worth of unused cards and people had paid for the amount that was on them. I think this is one of the best decisions ever.
Pip - I used to love moving and starting out on a new adventure. I hope you are enjoying it as well. When is your last day of work?
Allie - I hope your children's father gets some relief soon.
I am going to my daughter's tonight to get my hair cut and coloured. She has not returned to work yet as her doctor put her off due to her asthma so she has been staying home. It will be nice to spend the evening with her. I think my other daughter is coming to pick up a parcel that was delivered to my house. My daughter doing my hair is going to wear a mask while actually working on me and we'll social distance during the wait times. Even though she has been at home her husband is an EMT and has been working so we aren't taking any risks. I am looking forward to it, the last time I was at her house was in February when she did my hair last time.
I should get to work, I have been struggling to wake up this morning for some reason and have spent the first hour of my work day on here.

Had a really good meet up with my friend. The train was on time and we wandered down to the beach and sat on the pebbles and ate the food we had brought with us. Lots of chat. It was my first outing since the lockdown. Then I bought myself an ice cream from Marroccos (chocolate chip), but she didn't have one as she'd eaten too much ginger cake. I disinfected my hands and the tub before and after. Then she walked into Brighton and I came home. Perfect.
Now for the 4.30 Zoom with the kids.
Defrosted chilli tonight with zucchini and tomatoes. Rice for DH.
This morning I was reading a psychology book about non binary gender and got so intrigued I forgot to get up to make DH his morning tea. When I rushed downstairs he was already in the kitchen. Then we got into a discussion about the subject and let's just say, he was showing his age. I'm not entirely sure exactly what I think at the moment, but the case study certainly intrigued me. I see certain aspects of myself in it, but DH hates it when I say things like that. I often say, I think I was a gay man in another life. But actually, in my head, I'm gender free.
Today, in protest I didn't wear my wedding ring out. (I haven't worn any rings since the lockdown)
Life is curiouser and curiouser.

Rebecca your color “fill” drawing. Really your son’s talking it out with Athena Rose and incidentally teaching her to put her toys away. What a good Father’s Day video of a very good father. Yay!
Tracey yikes, good luck with the levelling. We live in a doublewide, wonder if levelling is in our future? “Adult” coloring books?
Debbie in Napa “wrong son…” O M G. Obviously your husband has developed great character to be able to “do everything” for this mean, ungrateful woman. Understandable he might feel resentful. Hope he can find a way to detach a little to preserve his blood sugar, don’t want to let her hurt his body like she’s hurt his heart.
Debby in VA how could I tell if a COVID-19 tracker was installed onto my iphone 5s?
Heather Brava! Your Johnny and my Joe deal with smoke alarm noises in exactly the same way. After Joe wrenches it off the wall, I Google to find out how to extract/replace the battery. After awhile Joe calms down and reattaches the alarm to the wall, but sometimes it takes a few days.
Welcome @striverotorua Kia in NZ and @ktuti!

Ginny in OH What is this “ironing” you speak of?
Machka you don’t use checques? Is everything either paid online or in cash, seem to remember credit cards weren’t common in Tas? I just wrote a check to both my massage therapist and my chiropractor. Some bills are autopaid from checking account, others I pay online from same account. Haven’t set up paying via credit card even though that means I’m foregoing some reward points, just don’t like all my egg$ in one ba$ket.
Katla so glad Arrow was a good boy. Hope your good ride dissipated some of the recent stress.

Sadly it has effected every part of him. He is such a pessimist about everything. Always doom and gloom. Very argumentative with me all the time. He has to go over to her place(she lives in the same town, that is why we have to live here instead of where I want to live) at least every other day for something. He is so bitter. There is no joy at all in him anymore. He really should take better care of himself but he doesn't care. He has high blood pressure, diabetes, over weight, sleep apnea. He takes his meds but otherwise does nothing at all to get healthier. Eats what ever, gets very little sleep but complains about not feeling good. It truly is exhausting to deal with most days.5 -

Heather ~ I had to look up binary gender. To be gender free (according to Cliff notes) you would be an inanimate object. LOL
Debbie ~ I am so sorry that your husband has such a hateful witchy mother ( you can substitute a "b").
The spirit hit me this AM and I have done 2 loads of laundry, vacuumed all of the hardwood floors, dusted (a little), and mopped the kitchen. Now I am pressure cooking some beef and chicken to make soup with left overs.

Thank you Carol- It is really so strange for me to see someone so angry/bitter/mean all the time. She is just now starting to be kind of nice to me but only when I cook food and take it to her- If I do she says I don't need to she has enough food, if I skip 3-4 days she gets pissy. She always tells her neighbors or strangers or who ever will listen she doesn't have any food, she is all alone, no one to take care of her- telling them that while my husband is standing right next to her.
The way I was raised is totally opposite of the way he was in every way. His parents married out of convenience- His dad was Air Force and widowed, she was divorced with a little boy. There was never any love between them and it showed. I felt so bad for his dad. He was a sweet old guy(46 when my husband was born so always old to dh)
My parents were very young- mom was 14 when they married and had my sister when she was 15. They have been married for 63 yrs now and still in love and show it all the time- Dad shows her more affection than my dh ever shows me. We were poor farmers but we never knew it- that was just the way it was.
My former inlaws are the same way as my parents- they will celebrate 63 yrs this next month. Sadly, she is in a care home for dementia. Before that, Carl was still going to the VA for Viagra- Now they have to be content with staying 8ft apart(this week was the first time since the virus they actually got to see each other) until this all passes- She doesn't understand why they don't see her.
So, with all the jabbering- until meeting my current husband's parents and seeing how he was raised, I never knew anyone like that. I understand why he is the way he is and shows very little affection to me but it doesn't make it hurt less.3 -

haven't given my notice yet. i'm thinking maybe aug 1st, not sure, he was talking about giving us a week here before actually leaving so we have time to tweek the packing thing.. we'll see4 -
It has been so how here lately. Staying inside in air conditioning. Knitting about all I can do in an RV. Windy today and cool right now so need to get outside and move a little. Maybe I’ll take a walk on one of the trails before it gets to hot. 84 degrees not but prediction of going up to 104 again.
Feeling good for a change. Going for a review of blood work, med refill on Wednesday and dogs to vet on Thursday for checkups and shots.
Knitting winter mommy and me headbands for a friend for Christmas. Next project is a crocheted poncho for me, then headband and socks for another friend that was requested. Waiting for payday to order more replacement cushions to finish dinette. Lots of projects started, now to finish them!

Ktuti: Welcome to a great group of supportive women. :flowerforyou:
Heather: I rarely write checks these days, too. I use them to pay the cleaning ladies. DH pays all the regular bills online.
Pip: I hope you’re able to find a place that allows pets without charging high pet fees.
Allie: I hope your ex is able to get good care and the bleeding to stop so he is able to enjoy many more years.
Barbara: The ride on Arrow was a delight. I am happy that I had the chance to go. Thank you for asking.
Debbie: Family dynamics can be painful. My mother-in-law treated me badly from day one. She apologized on her death bed when I drove her grand-daughter, my niece, nearly 400 miles for a visit. That made MIL’s eldest daughter mad. My sister in law wasn’t mad at me, she was mad at her mom. MIL owed many of the family members apologies. :ohwell: It is in the distant past. We’re all friends now and that matters.
Rita: I love your photos. What a majestic place to be.
Today I donated a bunch of bubble plastic that is used to cushion items being shipped to a local shipping business. The ice cream store where we like to go is just across the street—still empty. The lady at the shipping store said they’re getting ready to reopen the ice cream store.. That is good news. The covid pandemic has made life difficult for many small business owners in our area. I suspect this is true in many places. I hope things are getting better for everyone’s sake.

Allie Forgive me, but I forgot why the trust was designed so that Faith can't go in the nursing home. Is it to preserve the money for the heirs or is it because she and/or her husband were against going in to long term care facilities or some other reason? I wish there was a loophole. If your sister-in-law is burdened by this, no amount of inheritance will make up for it. Not to mention poor Faith keeps falling which will eventually lead to a broken hip or a head injury most likely. I'm glad you aren't caving in, and wow! did you handle that email with diplomacy! You are a rock star, girl.
