Brussel sprouts.. Ive tried lots of ways to eat them.. nope, I just don't like them.

Baby ones are slightly more palatable.. but still a no :(

    one of my favorite vegetables!

I try them every so often because I know tastes change over time, .. I never ate tomato till I was 30 and love it now 😁

I've not enjoyed them yet... maybe someday.

    Kangaroo.. 🤢

My parents went on a trip to Australia. Several restaurants that catered mostly to tourists were pushing people to try kangaroo as some kind of cultural experience.

When you come here, we don't make you try bald eagle!

I have lived in Australia my whole life and I was a meat eater for most of that time (apart from roughly the last two years). I have never eaten kangaroo and it's not that common in restaurants or cafes. But for some reason the places that target tourists do put kangaroo on the menu. Kangaroo has only really become more popular in the last five years or so in the supermarkets but it's more among the very enthusiastic gym goers/body builders. Kangaroo meat is apparently very high in protein and low in fat.

We must live in very different areas of Australia.. Theres been sausages and roo on Coles and Woolworths shelves here for years but in the past few years the range has expanded.. it is considered very healthy meat, low in saturated fat and high protein..
    A teeny sample..

K-roo company is a south Australian company that's been supplying Roo for 30 years.

Tbh.. its still yucky even with garlic etc to kill the flavour😄

    Beets. Omfg. Gag.

For the longest time I was all, "I don't like beets. I don't like beets". But I'd never tried them.

    Then I did.

    And I was right.

    Except I REALLY don't like beets. :)

Interesting, I HATE pickled, raw, or cooked beets. But I LOVE beet chips. The beet terra chips were always my favorite. I love beet crackers too. They have such a great mild sweet yet vinegary and salty flavor.

The night before our wedding, we took the maid of honour and best man out to a fancy French restaurant. Calf's testicals were on the menu as a starter. The best man insisted my fiance should order the calves testicals on his wedding night, but he refused. So I agreed to give them a try.

You know how kidneys kind of smell like urine? Calves testicals taste of semen. Brr. Never again.

To be fair, anything in chip form is good

    Baby food.

I didn't think that would need to be said, but after seeing another thread...

The jars I looked at were suprisingly low in sodium! :)

Cut them into wedges, roast them and dip them in sour cream. I was with you until I had them that way. I mean, if you're feeling brave... Plus, they boost nitric oxide so there's that!
