Interesting, lots of people donot even know what natto is. I myself have not tried it but do actually want to. I eat a lot of Asian, Chinese, Oriental and Japanese cuisine.
I tried it, and for me, it was one of those "squeeze your nose shut and it's not bad" kind of foods, like stinky cheese.
I had it once, on my first trip to Japan, when I attended a conference and chose the Japanese menu. I had some great stuff, but I also had natto. Glad I had it once - never again.
I'll have to try it one more time to see if it's really as disgusting as my first times trying it as people keep saying it's good but the BBQed jackfruit I got was disgusting, the sauce was horrible and the texture was gross. I didn't fry it, just stir-fried it with broccoli and onions. I'm curious to try it as a sweet fruit. I'm not a big meat eater and it definitely doesn't remind me of meat. Cross between cooked mango and mushroom maybe? It's falling into raw celery, cilantro, and liver category for now.
On top of the list anything with cinnamon or garlic, honey and syrups, nutella, any kind of milks that are not from a cow. Follow by other things as well, but the list would be too lengthy for this thread .
