fit is the new skinny

About 5-6 years ago, I was dangerously skinny - anorexic. I am 5'5" and was under 100 pounds.
It took me a few years to gain the weight in a healthy manner. At that point, I was "skinny fat". It's not terrible, but I wanted more for myself.
These days, I can tell when something a trigger will hit and put a stop to it, whereas before I had no idea. Education is key. Learn how to spot and stop triggers before they get out of control and you spiral back into the place you worked so hard to come out of.
I will never go back to the old days and my old ways. I'm a 35 year old mom of 2 who aspires to inspire others. Fit is the new skinny.

Yea. I can admit that. It wasn't a cute look and while I got mad at my ex for saying I resembled Skeletor, he was right. I am much happier and healthier in my skin these days. Thank you for your kind words!0 -

That's amazing. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm currently at the point where you were in pic 2. I look skinny, but my BF% is so high (26%). What did you do to get to that point?0

Thank you! I prepped to compete, so I greatly cleaned up my diet and went from 25% shown to about 18% give or take for my competition 4 months later. (Below). My diet was pretty strict for the last 6 weeks before my competition and I did some cardio and lifted weights.

sadly, I used to think it was "cute" being smaller than everyone. Yea, not so much anymore... These days I'm happy that I am healthy.0 -
You look amazing! I love posts like this because reducing my body fat is what I've been working on more than becoming 'skinny' i just wanted my body to be as strong, lean and able as possible!
Congratulations on recovering from anorexia and finding a more healthy path - That is a huge credit alone0 -

I agree, I'm where you were in 2008 and do not know how to break the mold. Those who prefer you anorexic have never suffered from the disease.
Congratulations - I know it was a tough battle and it's constantly a battle - but you LOOK AMAZING!!!!
I hope that I too can find my way out... you are an inspiration!0
