As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4β - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight β I'm working at it β it's a permanent way of life !
Goal for this round β to lose a pound. 08/25 133 β 8.64 miles walked yesterday, chocolate got the better of me last night (sigh!). DGS back in theatre for liver biopsy today, bloodwork figures indicate possible rejection, biopsy will confirm/deny, if it is rejecting they can prescribe additional drugs to reverse, keeping fingers and everything else crossed.
08/26 132.4 β Walking non existent! Storm Francis forced me back home, I don't like walking in the rain and with blustery gusting wind it was even worse, that together with lunch out with my sisters meant that I was 386 calories, 23g carbs & 42g fat over. DGS is well in himself, awaiting liver biopsy results, hopefully today.

@deepwoodslady - Thank you for the encouragement! I will have quit smoking for 1 year on Sept. 22nd. Before I quit, I was maintaining very well around 140 to 142. Since then, I've been struggling to get back to that maintenance weight. My resting heart rate dropped 8 beats a minute and so I think my metabolism has slowed a little. However, being able to run up and down stairs, run around with my dog, and getting rid of the cough and health fears has been worth the extra 5 lbs.5

Previous Day's Comments08/25 - Quite alright. Starting off with a sodium bump. BF made dinner last night and apparently the flow restriction top of the worcestershire sauce came off while he was adding it, only to dump a bit too much in there and could taste the extra saltiness of it. Focusing on water today, again, and finding activity to get moving. Didn't sleep well at all, though my fitbit says I had the best sleep in a long while. Obviously false as it read I was in "REM" but I definitely looked at the time and was awake during that period. Hoping I can wake up fully and enough to not be lazy and dragging all day.

08/25 - 231.8 - Though I walked 3.36 miles yesterday morning my Apple watch did NOT consider it exercise LOL Stopping to talk to neighbors, dog potty, dropping off book at library, light at intersection and not using pause on the watch when stopping β¦ I guess it thinks I strolled too much. Overall I did get 12300 steps total yesterday. Today I must walk more purposefully!
08/26 - 231.2 - 3 mile walk but ran into friends again β¦ some decided to walk with me. A couple of glasses of wine with dinner. Broke my dry spell this month.

08/26 193.4 I have to take a break from running due to stupid plantar faciitis which is super depressing. BUT I'm doing a 30 day no alcohol challenge and I'm interested to see if that makes it easier to lose. So far I miss my glass of wine while cooking but some days are easier than others. I am going to try to get back into lifting at the gym since I can't run, I tried the elliptical on Monday but foot hurt for two days after so probably gonna give that one some more time still. A friend brought a gorgeous big vine-ripened cantaloup yesterday β mmmmm. Also tomatoes and peppers. I see a beautiful salad in my future! π₯ Weβre under a heat advisory today and itβs already hot, so Iβm not walking unless it cools down this evening, but I can garden in spurts and run in to cool off. Iβm also refinishing some nightstands & end tables & trying to decide on a color for our bedroom, which I want to repaint β plenty to do! Have a great week, all!

I donβt know why I had to have ice cream last night. Maybe the hot hot day, but thatβs just a flimsy excuse. Still, I hit my calorie goal, if barely. No walk β a friend came over and we sat out in the garden to catch up and enjoy the beautiful evening. Not bad, all in all.

I died a little... I think I made up for yesterday's lack of movement quite a bit with this one. Fam really did me dirty with this workout...
2 more workouts this week to meet my 4/week goal. I realized today, once I start commuting to work, I can only manage 3 days, max. 4x 10 hour days with a 3-4hr commute (depending on traffic) each of those days and only a 30 minute lunch won't give me an opportunity for much of a workout.
Going to try to meet my 4 days every week until I have to go back (no known return date yet so I may have a couple months yet) and find little things I can do during a break (10 squats every hour? Desk pushups every bathroom break?) If y'all have ideas or thoughts, let me know! My cube is really small so I can't do much by way of yoga like at my old job (I had a fairly large office space) but I know there's chair yoga videos out there for little stretches in between.

8/25: 227.6 (+0.4)/19.3 (0.0). Alright. I need to get this under control. I talked with my wife last night and asked that she stop accepting "outside food," particularly from her family. My sister-in-law visited on Sunday, and my in-laws sent chile rellenos with her. She also brought banana bread that she made from scratch. I love my wife's family, but them inundating me with food just throws me off. It's like they communicate love with food. I drew my line in the sand with my; I NEED to be in control of MY food. When I'm not in control of my food, something happens inside of me. I have been REALLY disciplined since I've been back, and I have been REALLY happy with the progress I have made in such a short time. But when I feel "forced" to do something different, particularly when it's multiple times in a week, it sends me down the road of "losing my mojo." I'm not going to let that happen; if that means me throwing away food that we have been "given," so be it. My health has to be more important than whether or not I eat something that someone gives to me unannounced. I guess what I'm getting at is that it would be easier for me if "people" were just told that I am really focusing on my health right now, and that I do NOT want ANYONE to give me ANYTHING. I COULD do that... but my wife doesn't want me to (for various reasons... mostly worried that she's going to hurt someone else's feelings). She would need to be the person that communicates this information to her family, but she's either reluctant or unwilling to do so. I have got to figure this out, because I like what's happening with me since I returned to this group. I want to continue my good habits. I'm going to go home tonight and do strength training; my body is still a little sore from what I did a few days ago, but I am going to "suck it up" and work through it tonight.
8/26: 226.4 (-1.2)/19.2 (-0.1). It feels really good to be back on the right track. I snacked a little bit too much last night (healthy snacks, though), but I generally had a pretty good day. My back is hurting a little bit, but I'm still going to try to do strength training today (I was still too sore yesterday); I'll just take it easy. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend are coming over to watch the Laker game tonight. I will NOT be having alcohol. I need to talk with my wife about food, and what we're planning in that regard. BEFORE they get here.
