Both of these groups have lots of info and lots of very helpful people for the journey to keto.6 -
The biggest tip is making sure you get enough protein and enough salt. Don't just eat fat for the purposes of burning "fat"; aka oils, butter and dressings all have a ton of calories. And it can be easy to overeat them.4

Here is how keto is helpful for weight loss:
You eat in a deficit.
If you want to restrict yourself and try it, go for it. Or eat what you want within your given calorie goal (weigh accurately). Both will give you the same results, so itβs just a matter of preference π€·π»ββοΈ

This
Weight Loss= Calories <Calorie burn/ usage
- Eating foods you like that are filling
- Aim for higher nutrient foods you like for better health outcomes
- Keto with too much saturated fats, " Keto friendly" processed foods, otherwise called " dirty keto" may lead to weight loss however is not long term heart healthy
- A low carb and higher fat diet can be a lifestyle. Staying in a state of ketosis is not long term
- Weight loss on any given calprie deflict/ diet which leads to greater weight loss with improved heath measures may be attributed to the loss of weight as a whole and not necessarily keto
- People with certain health conditions may see long term success on a higher fat and low sugar diet.
- People with certain health conditions may see long term success on a low fat plant based diet.
- If person A eats daily 2000 calories of broccoli, leafy greens, etc but burns 1600 will gain weight
- Person A eats 1200 calories of chocolate chip cookies will loose weight.
In summary and review- For Weight loss a calorie deflict is the answer.
