I'm jealous. I tried to find pumpkin puree at 2 major grocery stores this past week, neither had it in stock.
Pumpkin has been hard to find since March in my large metro area.

I've had the best luck buying the organic at Safeway or organic pumpkin baby food. I don't usually buy organic, but needs must.

You guys need to order it in 6lb 6oz pack of 6 containers from webstaurant like me LOL. They are good for over a year. I have bought from them for years since my grocery stores have had random shortages the past few years and are not reliable. I also like this consistency and taste better than other brands. I hate the target and walmart brand. I am picky about my pumpkin.

Hybridizers keep producing new varieties. Growers grow them. The new varieties can have different macros, on average. Retesting will produce different results.

Curmudgeon/ Nothing about this seems surprising, except that total sugars decreased. Most things seem to be getting sweeter and sweeter, more and more insipid tasting, with modern breeding. /Curmudgeon

That is what I figured, different varieties of "pumpkin" but it is just crazy to me (because I eat 4c at a time in my nightly pudding) that canned pumpkin can range so much (thats a difference in cal of >250 and >14g protein) which is pretty significant.
