Where do you usually measure your waist for women?

I measure them in my belly button since it seems convenient. Probably that's why all my pants are bigger on me. Where do you usually measure your waist? The smallest part where the curve starts? About 1-2 inches above the belly button?

At the narrowest part which also happens to be at the umbilical line. Reading this thread makes me wonder if I’m weird! 😂0
