Rules for MFP DMs
A private message got me thinking.. what are the unspoken rules for DMs around here? What are YOUR unspoken rules? What are the no-nos? What’s the dance?
Remember, no screenshots of actual DMs allowed. We’re not trying to put people on blast, the trick is to shame them into submission, nome sayin

If you can’t remember what you’ve already told me and end up telling me the same story 7 times, I know you either need to take some vitamins or you got a bevy of babes you’re messaging10

The longer the message, the longer it takes to work up the energy to reply. (This is a two way street)2

as with everything in life- whoever cares the least wins.
so it's best to really just never message in the first place. esp if you really want to. if they wanna talk badly enough they will eventually. best to just go do something else to occupy your mind instead and pretend they don't even exist.
and its even more important to not message first if youre a guy. otherwise shes gonna roast you in her group chat. if you have to message then make sure it's the wildest stuff imaginable. picture the faces of her girlfriends when they read it. even if things don't progress you'll be memorable at least and sometimes that's more important because hey who knows you might start a buzz due to the sheer audacity
and god help you if you use bitmoji with her at some point cause then she's def gonna tell you you're old
and never message happy bday. wait until a week goes by and then message. she's not gonna say anything anyhow cause she trynna test your memory. best to subvert her expectations and hit her with that "happy 37th!" a week later instead7 -

Failure to comply with this humble and fair request in our private correspondence will be viewed as treachery of the highest order and lead to an everlasting war that could see itself spill onto the main forums endangering thousands of innocent members under the law of collateral damage. I rarely get DMs. But when I do I get confused as to why would anyone wanna walk to me. I'm pretty boring, lame and wont really flirt with you unless you make me laugh then I will add a wink or two in my reply but most of my friends are pretty awesome and don't want my epanties.6
