    Successes:
    Really, deeply figured out what triggered the change the past couple of months... (one issue was masking the real deeper issue) & decided my wt creeping up each week would not solve the problem OR make me feel better.
    Realized wt had been creeping up for awhile, but now was 0.4 per well & heading up.
    Clean eating & exercise since Feb 9. Broke back into the 154’s today!!

    Struggles:
    “Realized the confusion & I don’t know why this is happening” was part of the illness of obesity. Took a deep look. Calories were up.

    Insights
    Now I know when I’m feeling confused to look at all my calorie data with fresh eyes & ask myself what feeling do I mot want to feel.

    Successes/struggles:

    Nothing interesting to report. Yesterday had a nice 3 course lunch with my boyfriend and later called in to see my mum – her 92nd birthday – for a zoom with my daughter, son, and all four children.
    Still struggling to raise my weight up over 48 kg, but it’s not a serious problem - I'm sure that once we can get out and about a bit more it will soon correct itself.

    @speyerj That's really helpful, thank you. I am in Germany at present so can't shop where you do and don't have the same products available so will need to do a bit of translating, but I have been thinking too that I probably need to go higher protein for my lunch. My challenge is that if I cut back on carbs I don't feel full and lose energy even with high protein, so it's a balancing act. I think I'll try tuna and peas with a dollop of yoghurt and a little rice and see how that works.

    maintained (i.e. was below 77.5 kg, and mostly below 75 kg) from February 2015-July 2017; was then put on a medication and gained 2 kg in a month; went on sabbatical (away from scales; lots of conference meals); hit (peri-)menopause and lost track of things except to note that I was steadily gaining and back to 85/86 kg.
    Lost to 81 kg at Easter 2020 (top of normal bmi for me), but then gained back to 88 kg in April/May (Easter egg binge; lock down closed the pool...).

    I have been in my maintenance range since late October, and hit my goal weight of 75kg just after Christmas, but that was a dip that I haven't yet got back to. The last five days have been steady at 77.1 which is towards the top of my maintenance range. Ideally I would like my rolling averages to be coming out as 75 kg +/- 0.5 kg, and I am currently 2kg off this.

    Successes/struggles: Exercised most days this past week, which was good, mostly Bodyfit by Amy (I have joined her Bodyfit Athletics club) but also a ballet class and a lovely winter walk in Sunday afternoon (crisp, snowy and clear!). I consciously ate less at lunch this past week and that has at least kept my weight stable. As of tomorrow (Ash Wednesday) I shall be giving up chocolate and alcohol until Easter and also plan to track food again. I would hope to be back at or even below 75kg by Easter. I have to keep reminding myself that even at this weight I am down at least 11 kg since last May (22lbs), and am comfortably within my normal bmi range.

    Successes/struggles of the week: I haven't gotten in a good walk (outdoors) this week due to weather issues, but I've been doing well with my workouts these days thanks to incorporating the barbell that my boyfriend is loaning me. I've been more motivated to put in more effort into some workouts, and I'm surprised at how much progress I'm making in how much I can lift.

    Success/Struggles: Hooray! After two weeks of good solid logging, my average weight dropped back down to where I want it to be. Struggles for the week was not being able to run for a week due to the ice storm, but I went out today now that things have thawed.

    Maintenance weight range: 65-75 kg (not sure what’s the right answer - been up and down in there numerous times in my life, apart from going way over 2010-2015).
    I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

    I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

    Success of the week: Well, it looks like I am maintaining this month. Pretty steady. That's a good sign.

    Success/Struggles: I was surprised that my weight was actually down a tad this week.  I wasn't able to get out for my usual runs but I didn't really change my eating.  I actually had a couple of high days. Nothing like sitting on the couch huddled under blankets to make you feel like snacking.  And drinking hot chocolate.  But it finally got above freezing on Friday so I got out for a run after work.  The streets were still kind of slushy but they were better yesterday and today there were just some puddles but that was about it.  I feel good that a few days of lower activity and higher eating didn't really make a difference in the long run.

    I was away for a few days during the week which made it difficult to track my calories but I was very active and the net result is standstill on the scales. I use Libra to track my weight and the trend line is pointing down with no date for reaching my goal of 49 kg!

    Struggle/Success: I had a few days where I ate chocolate cake and ice cream as well as Kraft Mac Cheese. I paid the price for that but got things under control. I may never know what sets off these eating binges that I've had for decades. The good news is yoga is back on track and my weight is ok, not exactly in the hoped for range but getting closer.
