I'm Chris. 71 yrs old. With Covid and the holidays my weight has gone up and up. ugh!

March 01: 206.6 Off to a good start! It’s not spring here (time without snow) until May where I am at in Northern Michigan. So no walking or outside activity until May as I am a fall risk. I’ll do my best to keep moving inside as best I can. Good luck everyone!
March 08: 208.2 Wrong direction. Pizza last night during a family meeting showing up.
March 15: 207.2 Daughter and 3 yr old grandson moved in. I’m not sure for how long. Family troubles. And I thought planning the diet was tough with remodeling team here every day! Wow, this will be challenging!
March 22: 207.4 Up & Down & topsy turvy all week. Focus…Focus…Focus…
March 29: 207.0 Better than last week and right back at the challenge starting weight. Now, to focus on actual progress and not yo-yo’s.
March 31: 208.2 A bit of an unfair way to end the month. It’s up today due to no TMI but it is what it is.

April 01: 207.6 This makes me feel much better!
April 05 206.6 Much better. I am suspecting that I am becoming lactose intolerant. My stomach really gets hard and bloats up after milk, cheese etc. I am weaning off for a test. Happy for this drop on the scale.
April 12: 207.4 An overnight setback. I made good choices yesterday and got in plenty of steps and exercise through some tough yardwork but my calories and carbs were over due to eating 3 meals instead of my normal 2. Hopefully this will adjust and I will get my 206 back soon!
April 19: 206.0 An overnight drop helped. Travel today with dinner out so the rest of the week will be filled with movement to offset!
April 26: 204.0 A ton of yard work after multiple trees were cut down has really burned the calories. Starving today but will try to keep the meals light.
April 30: 206.2 This is a more realistic true weight for me. Two pounds down in April. I’ll take it!

Another big drop following a gain! Makes me wonder if a gain is coming this week. I decided to get a little more intensive about tracking - I do weigh my food, but I want to see if I can more accurately assess my burn and calorie deficit too in addition to intake. For some people this would be nitpicky and weird, but I like this kind of data analysis anyway (yes, I'm a nerd) so I'll see if it yields anything useful. My average daily calorie deficit from the past few weeks, as recorded by MFP and my Garmin, is around 400 or so, but since I'm estimating how many calories I use from breastfeeding (which in practice will vary some based on how much my baby eats!) I'm guessing my actual deficit is higher, but I'm not sure by how much.
The plan for this month is to move more! Still working on couch to 5k, and adding regular walks too.3 -

Lost about 25 pounds, then pretty much maintaining, up a little, down a little, but would like to lose another 15 or so.

3-22: 146.77 think this was artificially low because doing low fiber for colonoscopy prep
3-29: 146.1 still low because of colonoscopy prep & only 3 days of weighing
4-5: 149.2 probably more likely actual weight, been gone for a week & not logging eating and only 3 days of weighing when returned
4-12: 148.57
4-19: 147.66
4-26: 147.4
5-2: 148.09 too many days over calorie goal..fully vaxxed, so seeing friends for first time in over a year
