What has our pandemic been like? Lonely. I miss my yoga class friends and my horse friends. I am looking forward to our second Phizer vaccinations at the end of the month. After that is done I hope to see friends at yoga & the stable. Looking at our community, many long time restaurants have been closed. Some are riding it out but only a few are still open. This has been difficult for everyone.1

Well today was a rough start. The mister made coffee in our percolator and it exploded all over the kitchen. I'm not sure there was any surface in the entire kitchen that was not splattered with coffee grounds or coffee, including me. I was standing next to it when it happened. I got splattered in the face. I haven't looked in the mirror yet, but since the mister didn't gasp, I have to think it didn't have lasting effects. It did burn when it happened and still stings a bit. I can feel coffee grounds in my hair. Guess I'll be showering sooner than later today.
Hopefully, we will look back at this and laugh some day, but today it was very un-fun. We did take the opportunity to pull the oven out, clean behind it and re-level it. I had been leveling the burners with coins (the cheapest repair known to man - 20¢). It worked somewhat, but it is nice to have it leveled now. We will have to repaint the painted walls though. They are quite stained.
The knee isn't really getting any better. I'm trying some different physical therapy exercises. The hip issue is resolving, so I can sleep a bit on my sides. The cut fingers are healing, but they still hurt, and the thumb is getting better, ever so slowly. I am going to try a bike ride today to see if my knee can handle that. I need to do some type of cardio or I'll blow up like a balloon in a real hurry.
Pip - I can't believe they messed up and just expect you to fix it. We would have left it and told them to fix it and call us in a week. That's a pretty big mistake. It's not like they gave you mashed potatoes instead of carrots.
Sending calorie-less virtual cookies to all in need. I might eat a real cookie today. I feel like I need it.

Well done on the fix.
Our Zoom was a mixed blessing. My best friend seems to hate having her whole face showing. Annoys me no end.
Grrr! She was at work and very stressed.
We have another Zoom with DH 's younger daughter in half an hour. I find it stressful. Need a drink.
The memoir stuff has primed me for getting in a state. I want a magic person to come and help me.

Phone appointment with the doctor yesterday morning... my TSH (thyroid test) is improving but still just above the high side of the range, which means the thyroid isn't working quite like it should. They're sending me the higher dose pills, should be here soon. I am not a patient person, and I'm really, really tired of being tired and cold.
Added to that, my stamina is just gone. I went out this afternoon, beautiful day, to chainsaw some wood that Johnny cut down for us and needed to be shortened. I lasted all of 45 minutes and then I was back in the house sweating and exhausted. I really want this to work.
Have I said I'm not a patient person?
Yeah, I thought so.

Kylia--DH and I watch the Barrett Jackson and it shocks me what some of those cars sell for. Enjoy seeing all the old cars.

Zoom with two step daughters went OK. The younger one is super stressed about the ongoing noise in her new apartment. Plus high fuel bills.

Worked today and work tomorrow so no formal exercise
After work the appraiser came here (we’re refinancing our mortgage), then went to Aldi and WalMart. Newcomer bowling tonight. I think there’ll only be 4 of us, but that’s OK
Texted Denise that we’d be up Memorial Day weekend. She just said that they had plans which they’ve had for a long time. I know what the plans are…to go down the shore. So we asked her if we can come up 4th of July weekend. I just now sent her a note on facebook that Vince and I would love to watch PJ while she and Pete honor their commitment. To think…I haven’t seen PJ since September, and he’s NEVER been to our house. If it’s too hard for Denise to plan coming here, why isn’t it too hard for her to plan going to the shore? Well…I’m just feeling sad right now. Better wait to see if she has an “excuse” why we can’t come up 4th of July weekend. We haven’t even heard from her in over two months

I suspect the tube that perc's the water up through the grounds was clogged and it just built up too much pressure. I had enough grounds in my hair to make a bit of coffee in the shower, but otherwise I seem unscathed.
