While I did lose this week it feels a little hollow because I didn't meet my goals - I honestly failed pretty hard in that regard, so I know what this weeks goals are. And man, trying on my shorts was a shock - this is the least toned I have ever been. Between gyms being closed and the pandemic creating my busiest year ever professionally... that was a reality check. I want to feel happier about the loss but I'm not feeling too pleased with myself right now.

Went out for dinner last night with a few colleagues, first time out in over a year. Well, have you ever planned your dinner, put it in your MFP, everything is set, then to only have it all go out the window? I HAVE...Last night, the conversations we great, like old college friends getting together, then the alcohol starts flowing, then someone orders another round, then someone orders a few plates of food to be of shared by the table...You quested it, I Did, and it was soooo gooood!
After last night, and my promise to make up for the extra, extra calories I consumed, today I feel sluggish and unmotivated. But I know that i have to get back on this horse...anyone been there?

Hey , we weigh about the same. Over the last year, I put on 20 pounds. I do beat myself up because it was hard to lose those 20 pounds in the first place. But the good news is we will keep on trying!!
I put on shorts recently too and I was not happy.
You are losing weight so you should be so proud.12 -
Great challenge! 1-1.5 lbs a week is a great goal to shoot for. I’m a July baby as well and being down 20 lbs would be great for this
soon to be 54 yr old 😁4 -

I think the time with friends/colleagues far outweighs(no pun intended!)any over consumption of calories! Just hop back on the horse 🏇🐴 today🙂
That is one of the main things I have learned from joining this group & MFP.

Had a bit of backsliding this week. I’m not surprised by the scale this morning as I was aware I had let my guard down this past week. Just as many of us are burned out by covid, I’ve been feeling a bit burned out by “being good” with choice of foods, and over-indulged a couple of days.
I won’t quit! I’m back on track now!6 -

Surprised at the loss! My scale is wonky - I weighed myself 6 times and different every time?! So I just took the average of the 6 weights🤔
I have really stuck to program and exercised quite a bit.
One new thing this week which I have tried, is I portioned out 1serving size of a cookie or chocolate, and put them in a ziplock bag in fridge - So say 2 Fudgee Os cookies for example or 1/3 of a Mini M&Ms chocolate Bar.
I actually stuck to just having the one serving!!! This is a HUGE success for me. Miracle of Miracles.....as a long time binge eater with sugars!!!! Usually I would eat the whole bag🙄 I'm going to keep doing this...allowing a small portion so that I won't binge.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
We are in a 28 day 'state of emergency' stay at home order here in Ontario, so a little frustrated. But not gonna let it derail progress.

Friday is weigh in day.

Well this is what happens when you have a big non stop eating Easter coupled with dinner inside a restaurant FINALLY last night. It could be worse. Next week I hope to be back to 161. Happy weekend to all!8 -
Now that I have gone back and read the comments, it seems a few of us have gained a little. I am glad everyone feels like they can be honest here and we know we are all human and its all just cool and accepted. I love this group.7

I can relate. I lost 50 pounds going from 320 pounds on January 1st, 2015 to 270 pounds on September 25th, 2015. Then I slowly gained it all back and then some. I started again at 330 pounds last July 10th, and finally passed that 270 pounds mark at the beginning of March. Having to lose that 50 pounds all over again has given me the determination to make some diet and lifestyle changes that I plan to stick with.
So, like Nike says, "Just do it!"
Good luck!9
