Did Cathe Friedrich’s Afterburn DVD then went for a walk. Work tomorrow so no formal exercise
Went to Aldi then WalMart. WalMart requires a mask for their unvaccinated employees and customers. Same for Aldi. It was so nice to go shopping without a mask. Then stopped at the UPS store to return a pair of pants to Amazon.
Didn’t realize I got to Aldi before they opened, so I just read my email on my phone
Supposed to get warmer as the week goes on, and 90 this weekend. Guess where I’ll be????
Tina CA – the freezer is my friend, too. One of the nice things is that you don’t have to eat the same thing for days on end until you finish it.
Barbara – OUCH!!! Your encounter hurt just to read about it. I put one litter box underneath a table in the sunroom and she (Lexi) seems to be using that instead of the rug. I also pulled the litterbox in the mudroom forward so, hopefully, she’ll see it. We have a stone floor in that room. It has never been cleaned so much as it has lately!!! I just feel so bad for Lexi, she is so confused. As far as itching….sometimes the hydrocortizone doesn’t seem to help all that much. Believe it or not, what does help TEMPORARILY is hold your blowdryer on the itch and keep it there (well, not ON your skin, but aimed at it) until you no longer can stand the heat. The reason this helps is that the heat breaks up the histamines that cause the itching. They will reform, but in a few hours. Good luck to you
Finished the puzzle for Jess and Colby last night. Should probably order the frame for them. This puzzle was the most fun of every one that I did
Lisa – staying away from sugar isn’t a big deal for me. But, I swear, I’m addicted to cheese
Heather – we had a lot of Jess’ old textbooks. Couldn’t do anything with them, they were too old to donate (they were maybe 5 years old). What we did do was saw off the binder on the end, then put the sheets into recycling. The binders we just put in the garbage. I’m glad you found someone to take your books
Linda – welcome back! Stay this time, please, we love you
Anne DE – go for it! Good luck to you
LisaKinVA – does your YMCA have one? I know when I lived in Kennett Square, they had one. I THINK the Y in Reston did, but honestly I’m not sure. Good for you getting all that walking in!
Rebecca – if you’re a food snob, guess I am, too.
Katla – oh, I am so very sorry to read about Schooner. He’ll always be with you, maybe not physically but in your heart. Plus, he’s looking down on you right now

Our sweet old dog passed away this morning. We were both with him. Schooner was thirteen years and ten months old today. He was a beloved member of our family and we will miss him. My husband and I are both in tears. We will be taking him to our veterinarian to be cremated this afternoon. He was a sweet dog and very dear to both of us.

So sorry Katla ... they do become such an an important part of our lives0

Katla - so Sorry to hear you lost Schooner. It is so hard when they go.
Horses and goats got their hooves trimmed today. They had to sit on Orville to keep him still, crazy goat. They are all enjoying the green pastures.
My mom has decided she is going to move up here to live with my DD and me after her birthday in August. She currently lives in CA. She will be 97 on her birthday. My sister is objecting to this plan. She is the only one, everyone else in the family thinks it is a good idea. Don't know what her problem is. She is disabled and can't care for herself much less mom. My BIL has enough to do caring for her without my mom being in the mix. Can only wait and see how things work out. Mom ultimately has to make the decision.
Everyone take care Sue in WA7 -

Funny story: Setting: My backyard. It is pretty good sized; kind of rough as we don't use any fertilizer or lawn treatment. Don't even water it, so it does its own thing. Along the back fence, under the pines, a small "crop" of garlic mustard is trying to take over. For those who don't know, it is an invasive plant with a little flower at the top. I don't really mind it, except it grows so fast and so tall and it does make the yard look a little more unkempt. Anyway, one of my childcare boys came to me, almost in tears, with two stalks of garlic mustard in his hands (root and all) and said, "Miss Kel! I'm sorry! I picked your flowers!" I told him," ...that was okay. I was going to pick them later that evening; SO...you are welcome to pick as many as you want! I will even give you a bin to put them in!" He was thrilled. He and about four of the other kids completely cleared my yard of all of the garlic mustard, and had fun doing it! lol I think I will edge my drive and sidewalk one of these weekends and let the boys use the Tonka trucks to "haul away" the cuttings. lol
I had a meeting last night. It was actually in person (masked), only four of us in attendance (out of eight). It was nice to be in the same room with other grown ups, though. Anyway, I left home without my phone. First time I have done that in years. Tim was losing his mind for the two hours I was gone. He didn't need anything, he just heard it ring while I was gone and realized that I didn't have it. It is funny how dependent we have gotten on these little suckers. I never worry about myself without a phone. I have complete faith that someone will help me if I need it. Needless to say, Tim was in a bad mood when I returned. lol
Well...I better scoot. It is a rainy Thursday morning! I have to make "rain plans" to keep the kids busy. Almost the weekend! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)5 -

Good morning,
I've been on MFP off and on for several years, but never participated in the forums. 58 and still learning!
Just poking around, getting the hang of it. Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning! Well, last night after I got home I decided I was going to eat a "real" meal (usually, I get home so late that I just go for the protein shake and a handful of nuts). I made my big salad (mixed greens, red cabbage, bell pepper, green onion, chopped broccoli, some mushrooms ... and my favorite Italian meat mixture (weighed/diced up) ... with homemade dressing (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, yellow mustard, oregano, salt & pepper). I woke up feeling really good (not tired) or dragging. So ... looks like it was the right decision!
I got the underarmour fitness app set up on my phone, set up four routes (short 1.3 mile walk, 2 mile, 3 mile and 5 mile). I'm not up to walking the five miles yet, but plan to start the 2 mile route next week (my dog will be happy ... she's bored walking the same "circles".
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
LisaKinVA – does your YMCA have one? I know when I lived in Kennett Square, they had one. I THINK the Y in Reston did, but honestly I’m not sure. Good for you getting all that walking in!
I did look for information at our Y ... the closest thing popping up for RMR was in Arlington, VA. Our Y only offers fat caliper measurements (one time). Even the biggest dietician's office in the area only offers fat caliper measurements. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
