Losing inches in all the wrong places...

I have lost a bit of weight, and although some is from around my...bottom, the places that are most noticeable? My collarbone is starting to stick out, that knob on the top of my shoulders are getting really visible. There's a dip in my pathetic bicep when I flex now, because losing weight and building muscles apparently isn't the same thing.
I know, spot reduction isn't a thing, this is mostly me venting. But seriously why can't it be my thighs or breasts?

I feel this. I got stick thing everywhere and still had a huge stomach. Now I'm finally losing from my stomach but also my breasts. The breasts would be fine if both were changing size at the same rate, but they are not. I actually got checked just to be sure and yeah, it is in fact just losing fat at an unequal rate. Fantastic. I always wanted breasts that were different cup sizes (no. I did not)15

I guess we always lose where we don't want to lose. Not because it really happens, but we do notice it more. For me it's my face which is already rather narrow. Losing too much weight makes me look like a zombie. Give me smaller titties, thinner thighs, etc.6

When I first lose it is always my face followed by boobs/butt, then legs then stomach LAST. When I gain it comes on in the exact opposite way. It sucks.4

For me, it's from the top down. My shoulders, ribs, breasts and back look anorexic, but I still have a round belly and large thighs and calves. Gravity I guess. I'm not willing to lose more weight, so I've learned to live with the fat where I don't want it to be.4

Can I please have all the boobs you guys don’t want?! I have no boobs and carry all my fat on my legs and bum. Typical pear shape!3

Same! Collarbone sticks out so much too but the thighs won't slim down. I'm trying more squats to firm them up, but we have to work with what we are given. Sigh.2

Ladies! Don’t be so brutal on yourselves! Cup half full, y’all! (See what I did there?! 😂)
As my husband once said to me about a reno project, but I found applicable to so many more things in life,”Don’t cry, honey! It’s better than it was before!”
We are our own worst critics.
And re: that dipping bicep, flex like Popeye. If that “dip” becomes taut, it’s not a dip. It’s muscle. When your arm is relaxed it hangs loose. Many thanks to @AnnPT77 for explaining a while back that “bat wings” aren’t a bad thing at all. She changed my view of many “flaws” I was endlessly gnawing on.10 -
Oh, I can run almost an entire 5K, I sleep well at night, and I couldn't tell you the last time i had reflux or knee pain. My body can look however it wants - I feel GREAT. Also, you are not wrong: I absolutely look better than I did!8

I was so excited when I saw my collarbones emerge last month! It's true that I would like more to go from my belly, and I think I'll get there eventually, but I've discovered I have really nice hands and a graceful neck, too! I never even thought to pay attention to that stuff before.6

@claireychn074 You can have two cups sizes from me, maybe even three if you really want it.3

@meeppeepneep oh if only we could swap unwanted body parts 🤣🤣 although come to think of it, I guess that’s what BBL kind of does!0

LOL - I really relate to this thread. Always was unequal in cup size on top, one size small the other size medium. On the smaller side so less fat is stored up there. What fat is left, it's in my belly. My floppy belly that hangs and wiggles and makes a loud SLAP sound if I jump. Kind of funny really. 90 pounds gone off my body and this is still happening. Got 20ish to go, so hopefully it'll really come off my stomach at the end.6

@ninerbuff ’s stomach vacuum really works.
Pull your belly button to spine and hold t for three or four minutes, several times a day. Focus on feeling your abs holding it in. I do it while walking. It has truly helped with floppy, slappy belly.
And yeah, I get the slaps. When I would run up and down the stairs (a cup half full right there!) my underarms (under biceps?) would be like slap! clap! slap! It has mostly stopped now.5 -

I would give you mine if I could: no need to wear a bra, no bouncing about when exercising, no sweat underneath. Mind you, mine aren't that big and I'm grateful for that. But boobs are inconvenient.2 -
Can anyone find that thread where people posted pics of their tummy doing planks? MFP’s search does not work well on my iPhone - would be good to link that one as it’s apt, and actually really funny!0

I first lost weight in my fingers and face. Annoying!1

Not sure it's the thread you're thinking of, but there are some here and there in this thread:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10689837/does-this-uterus-make-my-stomach-look-fat/p1
I think there are more plank photos toward the end of the thread vs. at first, not sure.1 -

I remember seeing that thread! I keep meaning to take pics, but not sure I’m up to posting that particular view online. I’ve gone from a 22-24w to a size 4. If my tummy is not corralled by leggings, I look like a cow desperate for milking when I plank.
Repeat after me: it’s better than it was before, it’s better than it was before6 -
I've lost about 11 pounds recently (not really intentionally), and at first I felt like it was all from my butt and boobs. I assessed myself a bit more honestly and yes--I lost weight there, but I also lost it in my waist, thighs, stomach and upper arms. Of course, I would've been happier if I had JUST lost it in those last 4 places, but like @springlering62 said, it's better than it was before.
I definitely do NOT want to post a video of me planking--stomach would look like a sharpei's face! Not really anything I can do about the loose skin besides surgery at this point, so I just have to laugh at it sometimes.4 -
It is hard to accept that you have to lose all the fat to look really good. And the fat doesn't really care about what order we want the loss to happen. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're making progress.6

It is never where we want it to be!!1

I agree with most of what you said, but I can't agree with the idea that we have to accept that to look "really good" we have to lose "all the fat." Besides the fact that it's not only physically impossible to lose all the fat but unhealthy to stay at extremely low body fat levels long-term, I think we should work on accepting the fact that we can still look good, despite our self-perceived body flaws, focusing on progress, not perfection. If we keep thinking we have to lose more fat to look really good, I think we'll never be happy because that goal is unattainable. It's kind of that all-or-none thinking that gets a lot of us in trouble and can be a slippery slope. Plus, as you said, we can't decide where fat leaves the body.
It doesn't mean we can't stop trying to improve ourselves and have body parts we don't really care for, but we have to know our limits and not get so caught up on looking "really good." That's my opinion, anyway.6 -

I'm with you.
Also I'm the most body neutral person ever, in most ways - meaning appearance ones. No, not everything about my body is beautiful, but it's healthier, stronger, and more fit. Also I am not here as decoration. What I look like is the LEAST interesting, important, and even useful thing about me.
Also I'm middle age. No matter how thin I get, or how much muscle I build, I'm not going to look like a 20 year old and that's just fine.6 -
boobs, feet (yes FEET) butt, arms, belly... more boobs.. thank god sports bras arent really sized, at my lowest, I had bat wings and an apron.. But have to get back there...
