I'm getting to the point in my life where I'm over being the family peace keeper. It's utterly exhausting, and has done more harm to me than I care to admit.
I've walked away from so many toxic people in my life but thought that family was family. Unfortunately, I'm realizing that they don't have the same morals and values that I have. And it's time to start distancing myself from these relationships that cause me more stress and anxiety.
Would you like to come for Thanksgiving? I'll be
sitting this one out this year....I feel a cold coming
on
Suddenly this year everyone’s coming out of the woodwork trying to get me to “reconnect.” Not only are they gossipy and judgemental, but they are also boring as beige.
I say: No to dressing “nicely.” No to watching football. No to divisive politics. No to sitting in a stuffy, overheated house. No to passive aggression & humble bragging. No no no. How is it even a holiday when it’s that terrible terrible?
My kids are old enough that if they want to go I will arrange that for them, but it’s a no for me.
No to "dressing" 🤔
I mean, I’ll put on pants if we can define the word loosely

Thanks! After waiting an hour (and with my car not having moved yet), I've walked half a mile to Panera Bread. Skipped the yummy stuff since I'm up two lbs, but I did get a latte. Ugh. Had a coupon for a free package of Quest mini peanut butter cups so snuck off to Target to pick up a pack so I could use the coupon. They wouldn't accept it! It's a manufacturer's coupon. Target has gone to hell (not just cuz of this).
Then I stopped off at the gas station to get my afternoon diet coke and the soda fountain is out for a few days. Not just no carbonation or no ice out. OUT out. Which means I have to go the other way to a different gas station to get the soda which screws me up timewise because I also pick up a smoothie for my boss and that's near the first gas station.1 -

For me it's the guys with absolutely ripped upper bodiea and no definition in the lower body. Meanwhile I'm over here working my *kitten* off and all of my definition shows up in my legs while the fat cells in my abdomen and chest are holding on for dear life. 🙃6
