I’m in!! As of today:
August 9: 206.
My goal is to build strength, lose weight and fit the clothes in my closet because I REFUSE to purchase bigger sizes.10 -
Starting challenge weight: 182 lb
Oct 31st goal weight: 173
Weigh in will be Tuesdays
August 3: 182 lb
August 10: 181 lb
A pound a week feels painfully slow when I’m sticking to my health plan, but in reality, I lose more like 3/4ths of a pound a week (on average) so I know this is a realistic and maintainable loss for me. I can’t help but wish for more. This is my first time doing a challenge like this so it helps me be more objective about my own progress when I see that others have similar experiences.
Oh - and another exciting thing - I’ve logged into MFP for 475 days in a row as of today! Yay for consistency!10 -
Hi friends, sorry I've been absent. I went to Disney/Universal with my children for seven days and didn't have a second to check MFP. I did make some good decisions like having lots of salads and chicken for lunch/dinners at Disney. I also drank a lot of water and no alcohol. I walked one day 30,000 steps at EPCOT (11 miles); I went to the gym once at the hotel. But the walking was constant. My low steps counts were in the low 20,000s. I cant wait to weigh in Friday. I don't know what I will see - gain or loss.11

I weighed in yesterday but forgot to post on here, so here it is 😂
8/4/21 Challenge starting weight: 290
8/11/21 Current weight: 289.2
I barely lost any weight, but honestly I'm just glad I didn't gain this past week. I wasn't feeling good, so I barely exercised at all. Then, I had a last minute plan to drive over 8 hours for a concert, then drive back the next day. Between road trip food and resting for two days afterwards, I'm just now getting back to normal.
I'm back to making healthy food choices, getting movement when I can. I walked the dog around town twice yesterday, which isn't exactly exercise, but it's better than just putting her in the backyard.
My goal is to lose 1-2 pounds in the next week. I usually eat at a caloric deficit, plus I'm adding in exercise. I'm planning to do a 20+ minutes walk, 3 times a week. Maybe a couple days I'll do yoga, just to keep my back and joint pain to a minimum.
We'll see where I'm at next week! I'm excited to see what I can accomplish10 -
Hi everyone!
If it’s not too late I’d really love to join in on this challenge, I’ve been steadily gaining some weight as of late and I’m hoping this is just the thing to help get me back on track with my fitness journey.
I’m a 28 year old female, and my main goal is to lose the weight that I’ve gained back, and hopefully tone a bit while doing so.
August Starting Weight: 168lbs
October Goal Weight: 150lbs8 -
Stats:
Biggest weight: 168
Current weight: 151
Goal weight: 130ish for now.
Start: 151
8th August: 150.6
13th August: 150 exactly!
Weighed in 2 days early as I'm visiting a friend for the weekend. Again, not much progress but at least it's going in the right direction.

Hey. I got so busy with taking a shower, getting dressed and drinking water (oops), that I didn’t remember that I needed to weigh-in until just now! With drinking the water, the weight won’t be accurate. I’ll try, again, next Saturday.6

@RubyRed427 i thought of you several times this week when I went off the rails & then again when I came back . It was a good thing to think I don’t want to be a disappointment to Ruby ‘ the group . Thanks fir being there virtually for me !7

Been doing well with my exercise(walking @ least 5 miles, 3 days/week, on non-work days), water intake and calorie/carb restrictions. As long as I see progress, I'm bullheaded enough to stick with about anything!6

Starting weight in August -133. Sound low but I am 4’9”and age 70. I have a goal to lose 15 lbs to get to pre covid weight, then go from there. Encouragement welcome as I am just starting this site.9

My name is Donna and I am 61 years old. I live in the Midwest of the USA. 5' 5" tall. My starting weight was 253. I have relapsed in the past year and need to get back on track. I am type 2 diabetic and in remission for breast cancer. Health is my #1 priority.
I would love to join! Here are my weights so far:
Start Weight: 192.4 (Weight on July 31st)
Goal Weight: 177.4
End Weight: xxxxx
Short term goal: To lose about 5 pounds per month.
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Aug 01: 191.4…..(trend weight 194.6) A nice way to start but it may not stick. Very little food yesterday due to an emergency with my well. No water again today. This is horrid!
Aug 03: 190.4…..(trend weight 193.7) A little topsy-turvy and moving all around. I am hopeful that August will be a good month. July was good to me.
Aug 10: 189.6 (trend weight 192.0) Progress. I hope the long travel day which will include at least one restaurant will not derail me too much.

May 28th 2021 Weight 240lbs (also my highest weight)
Ultimate goal weight 170lbs (I’ll reassess once there but that feels more like a doable goal right now)
Challenge starting weight- 220.4lbs
Challenge end goal- 205lbs
Sunday is my weigh in day
08/01- 220.4lbs
08/08- 216.2lbs -4.2lbs Surprising amount of weight loss this week, I didn’t exercise a few days this week due to fun time and am thinking was probably backed up a bit last week
08/15- 226.6 +.4, total -3.8. Had a 2lb gain in middle of week, not sure why exactly beside random body fluctuation, only had one day was over calorie goal, by about 300. I was tired and had a lack of motivation this week, did exercise 4 days so that’s something.

You have a significant amount of weight to lose ultimately (although not as much as I did!), but it looks like you've chosen a reasonable weekly loss goal. For me it's been a year-long long hard grind, and I'm not there yet. But you can do it. Just keep that ultimate goal in mind when you're tempted to indulge yourself. And don't lose that bullheadedness when you don't see progress, because that can be a temporary plateau. Good luck. We're all rooting for you!
Congratulations on your weight loss!
I did it once before and swore then I'd never be that heavy again! But it did happen. So I know I can do it! The other time it took me 12-13 months to lose that 133 lbs. I had something else going on that time(a stressful situation) that made it quicker than it will be this time but I need to stick to it! And thank you for the encouragement!6 -
@swimmom_1, I can so relate: In 2015, I went from 320 to 270, then had a medical issue. I gained all that back, and then some, until I hit 330 last July (2020). Like you, I knew I could do it again. It was a real milestone for me when I dropped below 270. Now, I'm around 237... and my goal is 220. We can do it!10
