Wish I had picked Thursdays as my check in day. Apparently I had been holding onto some water weight on Tuesday/Wednesday and dropped another 0.6 pounds "overnight". Curse my love for salty foods!5

I wanted to share my progress pictures so far. I take pictures the first of every month. For this collage I picked my starting picture (March), June picture and September picture.

This week is a staycation for me. We pulled our spring garden and planted for fall. Excited to grow some cauliflower, broccoli, kale and onions! Back to the office part time next week so I am planning my morning routine and food to bring.7 -
I am doing a short mid-week post to say that since I started to walk after surgery I have manage to walk every day for a week. I upped the length of the walk until I hit about 30 minutes or 3-4 long residential blocks. I am now working to feel strong at that length before adding another block in. I have done 4 blocks with one of the blocks being shorter but when I did 4 of the longer blocks I had to stop and rest on the walk home. I think it wasn't the surgery but some of the pre-surgery tests that kept me sedentary for a few weeks before surgery. Anyway before surgery I was having a hard time consistently walking 5 days a week so I am proud of this. We have been making healthy meals at home too. My weight is staying down but so far not lower than my low last month. Usually I go up and down so staying low is a good sign.12

@kenziestabes
Thank you! I noticed that too. I have a lot more confidence now than I did in March and am a lot happier too!
@sandielewis2001
Hope you have a fun staycation. I have to do my fall planting too. However my spring garden is still going strong.2 -

Well this week's weigh in doesn't really surprise me much. I'm thankful I didn't gain. I knew I wasn't as diligent at exercising and ate several fast food meals this week. No excuses! Bad week. I got back in my better habits today right after weighing. Hope to have better news next week. Good luck on your week! Happy weekend!2 -

I am so surprised that I had a loss! Work has been super stressful lately. I went over my calories every day this week and barely exercised. I ate junk every night which I haven’t done since January.
@justanotherloser007 with everything you have going on you are doing great!
@AlexandraFindsHerself1971 sorry to hear about your thyroid issues. I hope they work something out soon.
@JNettie73 your progress photos are so inspiring! I really need to take photos and measurements more regularly.
@KeriA sounds like you are making progress. Just keep taking care of yourself!2 -

Went up and down all week but landed on only .2 of a loss - but it's not a gain. Back to work has been a struggle but time will take care of that. Hoping for a bigger loss next weigh in.5 -

🌸 Focus on the 98% of my day that is mental mindset, good habits, and having a plan, rather than the 2% of my day that's the workout
🌸 Log everything
🌸 Stay hopeful
Things I'm looking forward to:
* Autumn. DIE, MOSQUITOES, DIE!!
* I have a big outdoor event coming up in November and I'd like my winter clothes to fit better. I want to be able to wear a sweater under my coat without feeling so uncomfortable.
I really wish I was making better progress. I've dropped my calories by 200 to 1250 since I can't exercise at the moment with my back hurting so badly. I've been hovering around 219.6 for so long now and can't seem to break through. I'm going to keep sticking with it though and remembering my third bullet point above.7 -

Womp womp. I know *some* of that is food in transit, because reasons, but I also know my deficit this week was not what it should have been. Friday especially we kind of went off the rails. My team at work has a rotating snack duty where someone brings in something to nosh on during our weekly team meeting, so I brought in mini-muffins and planned for that to be my breakfast. They're about a hundred calories apiece, I bought three different flavors, one of each would make a fine breakfast (if a bit lower in protein and higher in sugar than my burritos usually are). But then the powers that be surprised us with doughnuts, and the higher-sugar/higher-carb breakfast of mini muffins made it just that much harder to say no to another (sugary, carby) doughnut. Then when I got home my husband and I basically just high-fived on our ways in and out the door, since he had to run out to band practice and didn't have time to eat, and then when he was done with that he decided he didn't want any of the *three* different leftover meals waiting for him in the fridge and insisted upon going out for fried chicken tenders (in the rain, no less), and pouted at me until I relented and came with him. I didn't get any food, which was a small victory, but I did get a beer and that was another 200 calories I didn't need on top of the 700-odd calories I didn't need (from the beer-cheese soup and chef snacks I noshed on while preparing next week's burrito fillings and waiting for him to come home). So, I'm disappointed but I'm not clueless. I know what I need to do to get it together, I just gotta do it.
I *am* looking forward to this weekend's cooking projects, though. There's a lot of soup on the docket, LMAO - besides the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli for lunch, I'm making a lobster bisque, chicken stock for chicken noodle soup, and a very autumnal caramelized onion, apple, and sausage soup with orecchiette that I'm REALLY looking forward to. I do kind of wish I had some kale or spinach for that last one, but I also like to make recipes as directed at least once before I start tweaking them.8 -

Yeah, last Saturday was totally a fluke, lol. Went back up the next day and pretty much stayed here all week. I am sure my lack of sleep, half-assed exercise attempts, and stress levels have not helped. I did manage to track and stay under every day, but I changed my loss rate to 1.5lbs per week instead of 2 cause I didn't like have less than 1500 calories a day, lol. For my NSV, I noticed that my heart rate goes up slower now, and recovers faster. So yay for improved cardio health!
My goal for the next week is to continue tracking, and try and re-find my motivation for workouts.
