What’s your food weakness?

@amusedmonkey Yeah, nuts are extremely calorie dense and it’s so easy to over do them. I like nuts but I never developed a craving for them. Potato chips on the other hand….like you said, it’s probably best to keep them out of the house in the 1st place to avoid tempted snacking0

I bet your mom made some of the best stuff!
😄I don't eat any of the foods I intend unless I make a healthy version! I am thin and eat WFPB diet. These are foods that I used to eat and have trouble stopping. I do use monkfruit, stevia and Truvia
Something that helps my cravings believe it or not is curry and savory dishes 😋
Peanut butter however....... lol!2 -
lowcarbmami wrote: »@Speakeasy76 Why are you eating to try to stay awake at night?
I'm not consciously choosing to eat just so I can stay awake longer. Lack of enough good sleep and/or feeling tired can increase one's appetite and make one more prone to overeating. This is what I"m noticing. I am trying to get to bed earlier, but I also want some time to myself after my kids go to bed.2 -
Sweets. If it has sugar in it, I'm all over it! I need to tame my appetite for it.

I also love ramen noodles and pasta plus add potato chips or Doritos to the list. I'd have a difficult time passing up rich chocolate cake, too.0

Icing buttercream or pb icing
As far as pasta I eat whole wheat and watch potion size0 -
I used to have an issue with sodas, worked my way up to a 2-liter per day, minimum. Tried the diet versions, hated the taste. Went cold turkey, missed the taste, especially in combination with certain meals.
So I made myself a deal. I could have as much as I wanted, but first I had to chug twice the volume of water. So if I wanted a 12oz can, first I had to drink 24oz of water.
At first this still led to me drinking more soda than was good for me, but it didn't take long for me to realize a lot of time I was drinking soda not for the flavor but because I was thirsty, and when the water negated the thirst, many times I had no interest in actually drinking any soda.
These days I drink on average 3-4 12oz sodas per week, guilt free. (Some weeks 5-6, some weeks 1-2.) Plus when I go a few days between sodas, they just taste better than if I have them every day.3 -
Potatoes in almost any form. Not the healthy kind but the white ones that are used as a vehicle for butter, salt, and cheese.2

Potato crisps for sure. Can't put them down, addicted to them.0

Bread. I read somewhere "bread is just a vehicle for calories". In my case-so true! I have to avoid bread.... it's not possible just to eat one slice🤣🤣1

Same here. I attempt to avoid keeping bread in the house because it's one of the things I have extreme trouble keeping in check.0 -

Honorable Mention: Cheese...and wine.1 -

I like fish and chips but to be honest I REALLY like the battered sausages you get from chip shops so I will sometimes indulge in a battered sausage and a serve of chips dowsed in ketchup. Cheap meal! I also like the black and white puddings they sell which are also battered. Haggis is okay for me too although it tends to be a bit grainy textured at times. All occasional treats1

Those Cheetos "naturals" puffs white cheddar and fried chicken preferably spicy0

Mac and cheese, Japanese noodles, I cannot forget ice coffee, coffee is my weakness0

Sushi 🍣😚0

It was bread, but I'm actually allergic to it now and I really don't like gluten free bread. Chocolate is another one, I haven't had any in a while and haven't been wanting it, but if I have some, I'll start wanting it again. Also indian and chinese takeaways,Thai food and fish and chips.0

Food in general. I love to eat. The pandemic lock down had me ordering from grub hub 7 days a week. If I had to pinpoint a "culprit" I'd have to say flour. Anything that has flour (pizza crust, to sandwich bread, to cake) just sends me into a feeding frenzy. Carbs are fine, but there's something special about flour that makes me ravenous.1

I don't have them nor sugar! I eat a whole food plant baseddiey and really love it! I like that stuff but it's not a weakness literally. Plus I have found endless things that are substitutes or alternative recipes! And yes healthy fats make huge difference!0
