Hello all! I am going to give this a try. I have been actively watching my CICO for almost 2 years. In the spring I started eating gluten free-ish (about 95%) to help alleviate symptoms from hashimoto's. I started Dec 1, 2019 at 231.0 lbs. I am a 38 year old mom of two who "loves" to run half marathons.
November: 203.4 - 199.8: 3.6 lb loss
December: 199.8 - 197.6 - 2.2 lbs lost
Nov - Dec: 203.4 - 197.6 - 5.8 lbs lost
1/1: 199.0 lbs
1/2: 198.8 lbs - 7 miles ran yesterday then a whole lot of nothing!!! I watched the harry potter 20th anniversary and rewatched a bunch of game of thrones. Good lazy day!
1/3: 197.0 lbs - I was very low calorie yesterday but ate nothing "good" for me. I had a bowl of cereal, half a bag of popcorn, and a turkey cheese rollup. I just wasn't super hungry.
1/4: 197.6 lbs - It is so cold here this week I don't want to do anything except curl up on the couch with my dogs. I ate gluten yesterday and felt horrible all night.
1/5: 197.8 lbs
1/6: 196.8 lbs - Yesterday was another weird eating day. My first meal was at 130 and my dinner was at 6. I guess I am unintentionally intermittent fasting. I am trying to learn to eat when I am hungry. I did try Kraft's gluten free mac and cheese last night for the first time and WOW it tastes just like the original. Happy Thursday all!
1/7: 197.4 lbs - Yesterday was super stressful and I stayed up super late last night watching game of thrones eating popcorn. Hopefully today will be better.
1/8: 196.0 lbs - lowest weight in a year! I am sure I will bounce around more but this is really exciting.
1/9: 197.8 lbs
1/10: 197.0 lbs - pretty caviler with eating out this weekend.
1/11: 198.0 lbs - bowl of cereal after dinner last night.
1/12: 198.2 lbs
1/13: 197.6 lbs
1/14: 197.0 lbs
1/15: 197.6 lbs
1/16:198.6 lbs
1/17: 199.6 lbs
1/18: 196.2 lbs - this is a big drop from yesterday but I did run 8.5 miles. So it will probably jump up a bit tomorrow.
1/19: 197.0 lbs
1/20: 197.8 lbs
1/21: 198.6 lbs - my daughter tested positive for covid this morning. so I stress ate half a bag of doritos. that should definitely help on this health journey....
1/25: 196.6 lbs - thanks for all the well wishes for my daughter. she was feeling great the next day. i caught it off her and have been feeling horrible since saturday.
1/26: 196.2 lbs - starting to feel a little better today. I can't do too much without getting really tired. I am worried about my half marathon that is in 5 weeks....
1/27: 195.4 lbs - i'm sure i am dehydrated from being sick. once i get fully better i will have a jump up in weight.
1/28: 196.6 lbs - we doordashed chickfila last night and it was delicious!
1/29: 195.6 lbs

Happy overall with the loss even though I didn't meet the challenge goal. Looking forward to the next round. With 10 more pounds to go until my goal weight, I suspect the loss rate will be a little bit slower.7 -

I didn’t quite meet my goal weight, but I did lose 10.6 pounds, which is great! I’ve noticed that when I am consistently walking, I have an easier time losing weight. As the weather improves, this should be easier.
I’m still working on improving my diet—during my next challenge, I’d like to add more fruits and vegetables, especially during snack time.

Looking forward to the end of February!!6 -
Hello! I’m 34F, 5’4 and started using MFP again at the end of May and feel like I am in it for the long haul this time, learning how to cook healthy foods and creating healthy habits.
May 28th 2021 Weight 240lbs (also my highest weight)
Ultimate goal weight 170lbs (I’ll reassess once there but that feels more like a doable goal right now)
Challenge starting weight- 204lbs
Challenge end goal- 195lbs (was 190lb but adjusted my calorie goal a bit higher)
Sunday is my weigh in day
11/01 204.0 up a bit from yesterday but had double my normal sodium intake yesterday. It makes for an even number to start out with
11/07 205.8 +1.8lbs had an imaging appointment the next town over was stressing out for, day of didn’t eat beforehand then went shopping and brought so many treats plus fast food for lunch and dinner. That was the only day I actually went over my bmr but was over my calorie goal more often this week. Plus side, results of imaging were good news.
11/14 204.0, 1.8 lbs lost, 0.0lbs lost this month. Alright, am now at least back where I started this month. Had a pretty good week, two hikes, one walk and two shopping days that got a lot of steps. Finally found a pair of hiking shoes that fit (had to get a mens pair as have not found one women’s pair in wide) Been wearing them around the house and for shopping, hopefully will be good today, first time using them on a hike.
11/21 203.4 -.6lbs the week and month. Okay week. 1 hike and 3 walks but was more hungry this week, and ate out a couple days so I was over my calorie goals a few times. Edited my calorie goal to losing .5lbs a week and may keep it like that for a bit… I won’t make my 190lb challenge goal that way but will still be in onderland by end of the challenge
11/28 202.2 -1.2lbs this week, 1.8lbs this month. 4 walks this week, I eat somewhat unhealthy for a few days this week. On the plus side I also tried a couple healthy new recipes: a Lentil-potato soup and a chicken curry. Both very nummy. Think the loss is more a cumulative couple week whoosh than anything in particular I did this week.
-1.8lbs total this month.
12/05 201.0 -1.2 this week and month. -3lbs challenge. Had a pretty good week, 1 hike, 4 walks and a yardwork day. Under my calories goal every day. Tried a red lentil curry and a tomato garlic chicken curry. Both tasted amazing, I did overcook the lentils, it is a learning process.
12/12 201.6 +.6 this week, -.06 this month, -2.4 this challenge *sigh* Exercised 5 days this week, I was over calories two days and under the rest of the week, overall had a good week. Next week will hopefully show improvement number wise, just gotta keep plugging away
12/19 199.4 -2.2lbs this week, -2.8:this month -4.6 this challenge. !!!Am excited to touch wonderland for the first time in a while. Hopefully won’t bounce back too much next week after such a nice loss this week. Had a great week, had a staycation. Exercised 6 days this week, and got a lot of steps in the 7th. Was under my calories 6/7 days as well. Food experiment this week was a savory oatmeal. Put in tomato paste, garlic and onion powder and topped with some mozzarella cheese. So nummy!
12/26 199.8 +.4lbs -1.4lbs this month and -4.2 this challenge. not as bad of an increase as I was expecting, I was over my calories on 4 days, and would have been on a couple, others as well if not for my exercise calories. thanks to food cart food, a few slices of cake and a milkshake. They were nummy and enjoyable but it’s time to get back to a treat now and then instead of daily.
12/31 197.8 -2lbs, -3.4 this month, 6.2 this challenge. Alright!! End of 2021 and made my goal of being under 200lbs. End of 2022 goal is to be at my goal weight of 170lbs and maintaining. With continuing healthy habits after I reach my goal, I am thinking about trying to get in the 150/160lb range but for now the main goal is still 170lbs.
-3.4 December, -6.2 challenge
01/01 197.8
01/02 197.6 -.2 this week/month, -6.4 challenge. Was excited to be down 2lbs total this week! I know part of it is from the week befores effort too. I always love the after period wooosh
01/09 197.8 +.2, 0.0 this month, -6.2 challenge. Was a pretty good week, I exercised 6 days and active the 7th. I've really been enjoying doing a ring fit adventure kickstart, a "free personal training style program performed entirely within Ring Fit". It's been more challenging than I expected, using muscles I apparently don't use very much. Weight wise, one day may have been close to my tdee but should not have gained anything math wise. I am hoping for another woosh next week.
01/16 197.0 -.8 the week and month, -7lbs Challenge. I did my labs this week before my dr appt next week. My triglycerides are down almost 300points! Am only 10points higher than the normal range now. Despite having a ways to go it’s great to see more evidence that the efforts I have put forth have positively affected my health. Rest of the labs look pretty good to me, I will see what Dr says when I see her next week. Also made Shakshuka for the first time. So nummy!
01/23 197.0 no change this week, -.8 this month, -7lbs Challenge. Drs appointment went pretty well, she was happy with my labs and round of my weight loss. She did refer me to pt for my creaky knee, which I have never done before. Had some amazing but calorie ridden treats as a reward for going to the doctor. It evened out over the rest of the week but no loss.
01/30 196.2 -1.6lbs this month,
01/31 196.0 -1.8lbs this month, -8lbs challenge
Didn’t meet my revised challenge goal of 9lbs but not bad overall, I’ve felt a bit hungrier the past couple months, maybe in part to not having so many salads with it being so cold out. I changed my deficit to just losing .5lbs a week. I’m fine with slow and steady, especially if that means doing it this way makes it stay off. Looking forward to next challenge.

01/10 140.6 (trend 142.5) Well that -4lbs puts me a lot closer to my goal. Not being as disciplined as I need to be though, tending to eat less and move 'less' rather than move more. I have a terrible habit of laziness which I need to challenge. 21 days to go guys!

Thank you, @RubyRed427, for continuing this challenge for us.
For those who have had success this past challenge, congratulations! For those who haven't, "I feel your pain." 😂 But do not be deterred. There will be bumps in the road, but the destination is worth it, and you can get there!
I'm posting this here and on the new thread:
My weight has been fluctuating since early December. There are reasons of course (Christmas celebrations in December, visiting friend in January), but I know I could have done better. And I will do better this next round. Here are some highlights of my Wild Mouse Ride during this last round:
11/01/21 233.0 - starting weight
12/06/21 225.5 - good progress
12/30/21 230.5 - not so good; I had hoped to stay under 230, but alas...
1/05/22 225.3 - quick recovery!
1/09/22 224.2 - lowest in recent history (i.e. this century!)
1/28/22 232.0 - another max... on the day my week-long guest left. It's time to do better.
1/31/22 229.3 - ending weight
