Hi
I am Dawn
I started on MFP October 28.18 at 191 pounds.
I am 61 and 5'2"
UGW 115-ish
12/01 - 136.7 - Slightly lower than November's start weight although I showed a small gain in November. Holiday season is upon us this month. My plan is to reduce as much as possible before the feasting begins.
12/02 - 137.6 - My usual jumping around in weight. Trying to get used to it after 3 years on MFP seeing this.
12/03 - 137.0 - I have always gone up and down, I am feeling like this is my current set point. Of course I liked it better when it was 130.6-133.6. I am not doing anything differently than when I was at that point. The 120s are looking illusive right now, but I realize that I felt the same thing when I just couldn't seem to get out of the 180s (or 170s, 160s, 150s, etc.

December goal: < 120
03 - 122.3 Ugh ... not sure why this vacation ended up so high but it should be better in a few more days
For those of us struggling even with good habits it can be frustrating. It might be that we need to change things up. Add a new exercise routine or change some dietary habits. Also weigh and log all food daily. I know it can seem like we're getting the right portions after months of weighing in the past but the amount of food eaten can slowly creep up without realization.
At home I weigh and log everything. The problem is logging restaurant food. It is only a guess unless the food comes from a US chain that provides nutritional/calorie information. I rarely eat at chains so I can only break down the components of the dish and estimate quantities. I'm avoiding restaurants for the next three weeks so that is going to be a big help for me.5 -

Has given us some very good advice above here: keep measuring - eyeballing it doesn't work. Avoid restaurant food more. Log everything, good bad or ugly.5 -

Hello again, everyone!!
My name is Ana. Some months after my husband passed away I was at my highest weight (180 lbs). Using MFP I was able to get back to a healthy weight through diet and exercise and I kept it off for years. Unfortunately, the pandemic has messed me up in many, profound ways that led to a Dr's visit on June 16th where I learned that I was back up to 156.4 lb. I am back to the MFP community to make myself accountable for my own health.
Highest Weight 2011: 180 lbs
2021 Highest (June): 156.4 lbs
November Start/End: 138.4/138.8 (+0.4)
Ultimate goal: Be fit and at a healthy weight.
December Goal: Up until last month my goal was to diet hard and exercise hard until I've reached and maintained 121 lb by the end of July of 2022. However, after deep reflection-and with some fear-, I've decided that for the rest of this year my goal will be SELF LOVE and COMPASSION. This month I will:
1. Exercise 3/5x a week to tone muscle
2. Keep track of calories to maintain weight
3. Weigh myself only at the end of the month
12/05: 138.6 Yay!! 🎉
I ended November at 138.8 which means I gained a bit less than half a pound which, considering all I've been indulging during-and after-Thanksgiving, it's not bad at all. In fact, I feel proud of myself!
I was very scared to weigh in this morning but I'm glad I did...
Also, I want to be better at logging everything I eat since I have now learned by experience that IT'S OKAY. Going philosophical here-sorry-! Maybe late, but at least not too late I am learning with hard facts that eating some cheetos, some chocolate, some pie, some extra bread, it's not going to make me gain 10 lbs by next week! My relationship with food has been either based on I Don't Give A $#1t, or Fear, and it's kind of freeing to me to see the results of Nov.
To be honest, after Thanksgiving I just felt like I wanted to eat everything in the fridge AND cupboard and I allowed myself to eat more than I was supposed to at least 2x a week and way more than my allowed calories to maintain at least twice after the holiday, but I kept active and even though I didn't exercise as much as I had planned, it's still okay! I am learning to have a different relationship with food and it is truly freeing, I'm now truly feeling that, when I achieve my ultimate goal next year, I can maintain the loss without suffering or killing myself with exercise.
I'm hoping for similar results this month and then back to weight loss in January.
I hope that we all feel proud to be invested in our health, with all the ups and downs that weight loss brings about. Love to everyone! 💖
-A
Goals of the week:
1. Plan scrumptious, filling, nutritious meals
2. Listen to my satiety cues
3. Sleep at least 7 hrs every night
4. Continue morning exercise 4-5x/week
5. Continue walking to work 3-4x/week
REMINDER TO SELF:
Highest Weight, 2011: 180 lbs
MFP Start: 175 lbs
2021 LOSS: 19.8 lbs/5mo. I had no idea. So proud!!
June Start/End: 156.4 / 151.8 (- 4.6)
July Start/End: 151.8 / 148.4 (- 3.4)
August Start/End: 150.2 / 146.4 (- 3.8)
September Start/End: 141.2 lbs (- 5.2)
October Start/End: 141.2 / 138.4 (-2.8)
November Start/End: 138.4 /5 -

WL history: ups and downs for years
Exercise: treadmill walk 5x/week (actual exercise not allowed yet, hope to be released from restrictions at the end of December)
Goal: truly give up gluten and avoid it (not allergic, just pick up many pounds of fluid for days)
Goal: put myself on the things-to-do list, and the take-care-of list
Goal: lose it and maintain it
Goal weight: 140
12/31 goal: 185
12/1 196.0 was a sticker shock this morning. A lot of inflammation still from surgery last month so my 12/31 goal is slightly possible but not very confident. I'm not shifting it though. Onward and downward!
12/2 195.4 first day back to work (remote) was too long and I'm starting the day exhausted. Not sure why I worked 12 hours but so much to do and I'm running out of year. Didn't walk yesterday so my plan is a lunch treadmill walk today.
12/3 - weighed but forgot to post
12/4 - weighed but forgot to post, I did walk on the treadmill for 40m
12/5 - 195.6 This week was rough and a definite reminder that even though I'm not in pain and back to work, that I'm far from healed. Simply exhausted by the end of the day. Today I'm meal prepping breakfast and lunch (egg cups and lasagna soup), dinners for the week will be hunk o'meat + veg. If I was smart I'd go walk now as it's 12:40p and I'm waiting on the soup to simmer, and then work for the afternoon.

12/3: 217.8 I think I’ve been doing well on vacation so far since I’ve had an incredible amount of wine, Christmas treats, and Hungarian traditional food which means a lot of meat. I’m enjoying every bit of it but I know I’ll have to work to get back to the 216s that I hit in Nov.
12/4: 218.3 On vacation in Prague 🇨🇿 It’s snowing 🌨 today! 😀 I haven’t put a sweater on in 2 years until today.
