Although I am with another weight loss group that weights in weekly, I could use more motivation. This looks like a fun group!

So I know this is water weight but I'll take it! I've also started exercising yeay for me. I play FitXR on my virtual reality headset. It's a HIIT workout, boxing and dance workout game. I'm loving it and it has a calorie counter in it too for my height and weight. I've also got a hello fresh delivery on Sunday. 5 recipes for 2 people. It was 50% off too. Looking forward to cooking more too.5 -

Losing 52 pounds may be too much of a goal for me at this point. However, losing a pound a week is realistic. As I approach my goal weight of 160, I'll reassess and see if I can reach a 52-pound loss this year. See you all next Sunday when I weigh in again. Good Luck.

Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in day out.
A pound a week seems reasonable. Why is it so hard?

Last week's successes: Deciding I needed to do something to better my health.
This week's challenges: Eating better and tracking my food.
I've joined MFP several times and find it hard doing alone. Thought joining a challenge might help motivate me and keep me on track. I work a lot and never have time for me. This year that all has to change.
I'm 45 and 5'5" tall.... I've noticed in the last few months I've been getting tired fast, and my knees kill me. 3 years ago, I was at my lowest weight of 200 but then my mother pasted, and I let emotional eating take over. It's time to get myself back on track

Wow, congratulations everyone 🎉 what a fantastic week of hard work! Special shout out to Lilylady 1. for starting this group and 2. for staying accountable 🙌 I got to goal weight in 2016, before I had my kids, and it was so tough when I had a gain not to just say 'f**k it' and give up! I found it so helpful to acknowledge the gain, publicly, it really helped me move forward. Keep going, we can do this x5

Hi all. I'm going to give this a shot. Friday will be my weigh-in day because it is so much easier to stay 100% on program during the week. Starting weight for 2022 was 209, so whatever weight loss I post tomorrow will be for more than 1 week. I'm a 72-year-old history instructor at a community college and I am 5'7"
I am going to confess right now that I do not deal well with failure. The reason I joined and quit WW so many times is that I absolutely hated when I followed the program and for whatever reason, did not have a loss one week. Once that higher number was entered into my book, I was resentful; if it happened a second week I would usually drop out because I had obviously FAILED. Before you spend time advising me about how this is a lifelong journey, Rome wasn't built in a day, good things come to those who wait etc, etc, etc, please know that I am aware of how immature and unreasonable my expectations are. Sorry, but that is just the way my brain works. I have no problems posting a weight gain if I break the rules (overeating, not exercising), but not if I follow the rules. So.....I might "accidentally" forget to post my weight on a Friday if the scale and my metabolism are being ornery, but I will update it as soon as they cooperate

Last week's successes: Week 2, Keto clean for 2 weeks, lost 1.0 lb this week, and 3.5 inches so far this year.
This week's challenges: My birthday is in 2 days, Jan 16. I’ll be 72. Keeping keto clean will be difficult/impossible with my wife and family wanting to celebrate the occasion. Not complaining! This is a good problem to have but never less a real challenge.

🌟 Last week's successes: I had 2 incredibly stressful days, definitely qualified as 🍷🍰 days! My inner voice wanted me to eat 'I deserved a treat, I could get back on track when things calm down...' but I reminded myself I deserve to be fit and healthy, that I've worked hard for 10 days and I visualised how happy I'll be when I reach goal weight. I stayed the course 🎉
💪 This week's challenges: I was on maternity leave all last year with my second son and I noticed the more tired I was the worse my choices were. I'm horrendously sleep deprived so I'm going to start to prioritise sleep. There's so much research on poor sleep/obesity; my long-term goal is 7-8 hours a night.
