    Hello again, everyone!!

My name is Ana. Some months after my late husband passed away in 2011 I was at my highest weight (180 lbs). Using MFP I was able to get back to a healthy weight through diet and exercise and I kept it off for years. Unfortunately, the pandemic has messed me up in many, profound ways that led to a Dr's visit on 06.16.21  where I learned that I was back up to 156.4 lb. I am back to the MFP community to make myself accountable for my own health.
My plan for this month is: calorie deficit (zigzag mode) but putting nutrition first. I'll try my best to plan yummy foods, be mindful of portions when indulging. I will exercise at least 5x a week and will try my best not to snack and to walk to work. Good luck to me and to all of you! 💖

    Highest Weight 2011: 180 lbs
    2021 Highest (June): 156.4 lbs
    February Start/End: 137.6 /
Ultimate goal: Be fit and at a healthy weight.

02/06: 137.6 ( 0 ) I am very disappointed and discouraged with this number. I haven't lost an ounce in 3 weeks! 😔 I haven't been the most strict. I haven't really been able to walk much. Still, I have-generally-consumed less calories than what my body is supposed to require so I don't get it 😟 My hope is that my body is either gaining muscle, or getting ready to drop some fat. I totally get what @dawnbgethealthy said: such a calorie restriction won't be sustainable for me in the long term. I'm worried, not going to lie...

02/14: 136.7 (-0.9) Happy to see that the number finally reflects what I feel! Last week I snacked almost every day, but I tried to walk more often and for longer distances, I exercised 5x and it seems like my body is back on track with BM. I feel like half of this loss is what didn't show last week due to intestinal problems. It seems like my body has reached the point where losing half a pound a week is as much as it can do safely, but I don't care. I can be patient, as long as I'm shedding the fat that I don't need, I will persist!

02/21: 134.8 (-1.9) Yay! I guess I was wrong and I can lose more than half a pound a week 😅. Last week I was very aware that I ate more than I had planned and upped my activity level. I worked out 6x/week and since weather was nice, I walked to work 4x, then walked an extra hour 3x. So... I guess the secret is not so much the calorie deficit but to walk more? Idk, I just know that I'll take it!

I've been sick for 3 days so my activity level is practically inexistent. Worried about next week's progress, but I think it's best to let my body heal for now.

    Best wishes to everyone! 💖

    -A

    5. Morning exercise 4-5x/week

2/7: 138.4 Had a big hungry day yesterday. Got it out of my system and back on track today. My posting for the next 2 weeks or so is going to be spotty. I’m watching every minute of the Olympics (except for hockey) and I have a sprained wrist so its hard to type. I’m still weighing every day tho!

2/17: 134.4 Expected bump. Yesterday’s drop was too much. Nice, but not realistic. Did good at lunch yesterday.

    MFP starting weight: 149.2 (3/30/21)
    January results: -4.6 pounds
    January end weight: 138.4
    UGW: 130

    2/01 - 138.4 (140.0 trend)
2/02 - 140.0 (140.0 trend) - nausea has been terrible over the past few days. Yesterday I ate two sleeves of crackers, toast, soup, anything I could think of to calm my stomach. All it did was raise the scales. Woke up this morning churning again. Ready for this to be over!
2/03 - 138.0 (139.7 trend) - nausea was at it's worst yesterday. Could not keep much down. Today seems much better
    2/04 - DNW
2/05 - 136.0 (138.8 trend) - barely made it out of bed yesterday. So little food consumed. @deepwoodslady maybe your binge was subconsciously for me. I hope it doesn't show up for you.
2/06 - 135.4 (138.3) - yesterday was much better. Nausea held off till late afternoon. I was able to eat a little more and move around more. Woke up slightly queasy but think it will stop once food gets in my stomach. Suppose to return to work tomorrow.
2/07 - DNW - Slept later than planned. Son had a two hour delay. Did not get to work today. Was running a low grade fever all day yesterday and must be fever free for 24 hours. So far so good today. It's been under 100 since 2 this morning. Just need to keep it that way. This started January 26. Twelve days is plenty long. Nausea still creeps up, but a lot more manageable. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and kind words
2/08 - 136.4 (137.9) - back to work. Fever stayed down all day. Appetite was back up some and I made up for it.
    2/09 - 136.6 (137.7)
2/10 - 137.4 (137.7) - Not what I had hoped would happen. Really need to get this under control and not gain everything back
2/11 - 137.0 (137.6) - really want to see that 135 again before the end of the month!
    2/12 - DNW
    2/13 - DNW
    2/14 - DNW
    2/15 - DNW
    2/16 - DNW
2/17 - DNW - really need to get back on the scales. It's been a crazy week with work and home and I've just been afraid to see the damage. Tomorrow there will be a number listed no matter how bad it is.
2/18 - 138.4 (138.4 trend) - not as bad as I thought it would be.
    2/19 - DNW
    2/20 - DNW
2/21 - 139.8 (138.9 trend) - not the best weekend. Really need to get my butt in gear and make the right changes. I WILL be below my start weight by the 28th
2/22 - 138.6 (138.8 trend) -tomorrow could be bad. Ate out two nights in a row and did not expect this drop. I have a feeling it will show up tomorrow morning
2/23 - 137.4 (138.7 trend) - very surprised by this. Really expected to see the burger and fries from the 21st show up this morning. Just need to stay focused

    Goal: 136
