Mary 64 from Pennsylvania.
Heaviest weight 255 lbs, twice. :-(
UGW-122 lbs. I was there in 2009/10 and kept it off for 5 years then got lazy.
My goal is to continue with what seems to work for me. 1000-1200 calories, low carb 15 Net +/- 3(My body seems to not do well with carbs. It doesn't know how to burn them and hangs onto them way too much!), minimum 70 + oz of water, 2 meals/day on my days off(3) and 3 meals on my work days(which are long), exercise on my 3 days off. My weigh in day is Sunday.

I'm in. I'm Chris. I live in northern California.
71 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

I'm coming in late too. It's March 1 but I still hope to lose those 15 pounds. Sounds like a good group.
My goal is to get to the weight I was when I got married...150 pounds by my 50th anniversary on June 24 this year. I have 25 pounds to go. I've lost 65 pounds over last several years.
Wish me well😀

Female, 55 yrs old and 5 foot 5 inches( was username RunDMC)
Started MFP back in Jan/21 at 162lbs, and joined this group “Lose 15lbs in 3 months”.
I did have success and got down to 150lbs!
February was a complete write off for me, and my weight has crept back up over the last couple months.
*So I’m starting today with the goal of getting back to 150lbs by end of March.
*Ultimate goal is 145lbs by end of April.
Mar 01 - 156.6
(+ 1.4 from Feb 28)
Starting today I am back on plan with tracking food and will stay within my calorie number.
MUST begin walking again at least 3 times per week.
Good luck everyone in reaching your goals for March

CHALLENGE: I am happily under 230lbs by May 2nd, 2022 or earlier.
Feb 28 : 238.3 - I know ... 7lbs gain in 1 week. Simple explanation... I got a new scale and gained a bunch of weight in seconds. Luckily, weight isn't my only metric. The tape measure is my next best friend and according to Mr. Tape Measure I lost inches.... Yay. Plus I have more energy during my workouts.

Jan 23 : 231.8 (Start of first 6 week mini challenge)
Jan 31 : 230.6 - 5 days 14:10 fasting
Feb 07 : 232.4 - (Bloating) 4 days 16:8 fasting | 80,036 steps
Feb 14 : 236.8 - Yep a 4lb gain.
Not sure why... maybe my body is balancing out as I increase my daily steps t 8k to 15k steps a day. I am weighing all my food and tracking all calories/activity.
The only thing keeping me sane is my waist measurement has increased however my thigh, hip and bicep have decreased. This leads me to believe I am still bloated.
The fasting challenge is really a challenge. This week is 3 days of 18 hour fasts. My body wasn't feeling it today... We will see how it goes for the rest of the week.
Feb 21 : 231.4 - With the 4lb gain last week, I thought I needed to get a new scale. instead I calibrated my scale and had an instant 5lb weight loss in less than 2 minutes.
Action Plan:
* 6 week mini with 2 week maintenance. (Losing weight is not my problem, maintaining the lost weight is the true challenge)
* 17 fasting days every 8 weeks
* I am living the plant based lifestyle
* Drink more than 2 liters water daily
January 20th starting weight: 239.2
May 2nd goal weight: Under 230lbs

My name is Donna and I am 61 years old. I live in the Midwest of the USA. 5' 5" tall. My starting weight was 253. I have relapsed in the past year and need to get back on track. I am type 2 diabetic and in remission for breast cancer. Health is my #1 priority.
Thank you Ruby Red 427 for starting another challenge.
Start Weight: 197.0 (Weight on January 31, 2022)
Goal Weight: 182.0
End Weight: xxxxx
Short term goal: To lose about 5 pounds per month.
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s
Feb 01…..197.0…..(Trend Weight: 195.1)….. No change except the trend weight going up and that matters to me. Only 28 days this month to change that and many other things!
Feb 03…..195.8…..(Trend Weight: 195.4)….. Working on some changes. One’s I’ve made before. Running after that wagon I fell off!
Feb 10…..196.0…..(Trend Weight: 195.2)….. I’ve actually done much better this week and was down lower than today’s weight but last night my daughter decided to buy pizza for us and the handyman that worked all day. 3 slices later I’m up 2 ½ pounds overnight! Boy, did it ever taste salty! I’ll push water today. The rest of the meals or snacks were on point yesterday. One meal sure can do a LOT of damage! Hopefully, a better weigh-in next week.
Feb 17…..196.0…..(Trend Weight: 195.7)….. I have been gaining and losing the same 1 ½ pounds all week. Very annoying because I’m not always sure why. I haven’t been perfect for sure, but I have increased movement. Diet good, snacks meh….so that’s probably the answer.
Feb 24….. 198.0…..(Trend Weight: 196.0)….. We lost our water pump to the well last Thursday which nearly caused a fire. After clearing out the smoke we began the difficult task of finding a well company that would finally show up. After a week of waiting and several companies that made appointments then didn’t come, we finally found a company that came and quickly fixed it. Nearly $3000.00 and a report that it is only a matter of time before we need a new well drilled ($11,000.00) because what I have is insufficient for the house size, we finally had WATER! I burned a lot of calories yesterday with all the cleaning I could finally do but the scale was still bad. We’ll see what the next few days bring!
Feb 28…..198.2…..(Trend Weight: 196.5)….. Ugg!
Feb Goal: 192.0
Feb Actual: 198.2
Cumulative Weight Loss so Far: 1.2 lb GAIN
Mar 01…..196.6…..(Trend Weight: 196.5)….. I am wishing a GREAT month for us all!
Mar 07…..196.2…..(Trend Weight: 196.6)….. Truly a back & forth week which goes up and down approx 1 ½ pounds per jump. My inconsistencies are showing up on the scale as inconsistent weigh-ins. I shouldn’t be surprised.

I'm feeling all sorts of mixed emotions. This weight isn't going away easy. I'm not sure if my body thinks I'm starving it with a lot of running, so I've upped my calories.
It's really confusing, the effort I can put in with eating less, doesn't translate to more fat loss. Then I miss out on the little life events because I don't want to chance being around liquor/food/be out late and miss gym. I'm fairly certain I've done dry February unintentionally lol.
But if I continue with tracking and the emotional roller coaster of frustration, I will see a loss eventually. Just comes very, very, VERY slowly.
This week I've decided to clean up the freezer; I have lots of beyond meat ground in there that's a little too calorie dense for me. Instead of garbage, I'll have to incorporate a little every week and compromise the calories elsewhere 😮💨😮💨
I think you are making great strides. Healthy eating, exercise and running... all good things for your brain and body. I bet soon your body will shed more pounds and fat loss. I'm really proud of you!7 -

I'm a bit late getting in but thanks for starting this challenge!
I am a 5'4" 60 year old retiree living in upstate NY. I started back up using MFP on January 3rd but did not weigh myself for the first time until February 7th.
While I would like to try and lose 5 pounds per month, I am going away on vacation for 10 days so I believe a 10 lb goal for this challenge may be more realistic. If I do lose 15 it will be a bonus!
Feb 7: 222.2
Feb 14: 220.9 (down 1.3 this week. Not too bad considering that I splurged at a Super Bowl party.)
Feb 21: 218.8 (down another 2.1 this week. Exercised 367 minutes total last week)
Feb 28: Skip week since I will be away from home
Mar 7: 216.6 (down 2.2 since Feb. 21st. I'm super stoked that I was still able to lose while on vacation! I made sure to exercise every day, 381 minutes last week and 360 minutes the prior week)

Pleased to see the numbers shift downwards….👍
Tracked food all last week and even though I did go over MANY days the tracking did reign me in a bit and make me pay attention to the mindless eating and # of calories I was piling on every night. I mean I knew….but to see it in numbers as RED no less had an effect.
Have a great week everyone!

@lizziebtothec congratulations on your race! I have never been a runner - I am a mountain hiker, but wanted to switch things up and also wanted to run a half marathon someplace I hadn’t been before. My goal was just to run the whole thing without stopping or walking. I did that and was thrilled. I cant actually remember my time (proving that I am not a runner), but it was pretty decent, not great. I do remember though that there were people who walked and ran in combination who had better times so I think I was supposed to learn something from that! (I also gained weight from training to do it, but that is a story for another day).6

Round 3 for me! I think I was 149-150 at the start of this. This round I’m treating myself like a scientific Guinea pig project using the free National Institutes of Health “Body Weight Planner”. .
Goal: reach about 126 lbs this round (-10), stay with my plant-based diet, keep using weights, and lower my cholesterol in the process.
Feb 1 - 136
Feb 7 - 135.5 (-0.5)
Feb 14 - 135 (-0.5) Guess this is ‘mode operandi’ for now. According to the NIH site, I should be about 134.5. So, I’d like to lose a full pound this coming week.
Feb 21- 134 (-1) Yay! Worked hard for that one. Feb 28
Feb 28 - 133 (-1)
Total Loss for February -3
March 7 - 132.5 (- 0.5) Good news: The results of my cholesterol check last week showed my bad (LDL) cholesterol is down by 37%! in 4 months. So I guess the plant-based diet is working and is going to be the right thing for me at this stage in my life. (I still eat fish.) Also, I found out that I have a genetic variant that means I do not process saturated fat as well as 85% of the population. (23 & Me) Too bad I didn’t find that out 20 or even 30 years ago. Yay for technology though!

That is awesome! I've never been able to run the whole half marathon without walking. I think the longest I've ever ran without a walk break is 4 miles. I always hated running but somehow it became my thing. My favorite part is still when it is done. ha!4 -
