WEEK 12 LOSS OR GAIN: 1.2 lb loss after a roller coaster week!
Day 85…..04/24…..204.2…..(Trend weight 201.5) 3.6 lbs overnight gain because of dinner out. WTH? Rotiss chicken breast, a side of pasta, a side of cottage cheese. 2 Oatmeal raisin cookies. Not exactly a diet meal but over 3 ½ pounds? Okey dokey. Bad weather has already started for the day. Rain, thunderstorms, hail expected and possible tornado watches today. I guess I’ll be inside.
Day 86…..04/25…..202.2…..(Trend weight 201.6) I closed all my fitbit rings for the first time in awhile. Extra large calorie burn overall and plenty of steps. Diet was just so-so and exercise wasn’t exactly structured but I’m happy to see it dropping back down. Time to get out of the 200 prison I’m in.
Day 87…..04/26…..202.2…..(Trend weight 201.6) Better diet but low level movement. Very restricted with this middle of house new drywall and sanding going on. Travel today with my 77 year old friend several hours each way to get her to her neurology appointment for essential tremors. Lunch/Dinner will be out.
Day 88…..04/27…..204.4…..(Trend weight 201.9) Travel yesterday with no shopping/walking. Very little natural calorie burn and Golden Corral for dinner. Yep, that’ll do it! Gotta really watch my P’s and Q’s today!
Day 89…..04/28…..204.2…..(Trend weight 202.1) A small drop even though dinner was out with my son, his friend and friend’s mother. A nice simple meal that didn’t go over the top.
Day 90…..04/29…..202.4…..(Trend weight 202.2) We are in the midst of the sanding of the kitchen and dining room renovation. Sand everywhere! There has been a lot more of carry-out dinners and local restaurant meals but I’ve been keeping the choices reasonable. To me, in this very small town, the local restaurant food is tiresome after 24 years here. It’s much easier to not over-indulge than when I go to bigger cities that have so many delicious and hard-to-resist choices. I love trying new things and that often gets me in trouble! Anyway, glad to see a nice drop today even after dinner carry-out (Mexican). I’m going to try to get more movement today but I dunno…. We’ll see how the schedule goes. My birthday is May 10th. I would love to give myself the present of being solidly under 200!

Day 85: Sun, 4/24: 138.0 - Crazy jump, healthy day, lots of activity. I will try not to pay attention to this number. Tonight will be a late dinner because of work. I only had one day off, and haven't had to work a Sunday in over 6 months. I don't like it. It should be the last.
Day 86: Mon, 4/25: 137.4 - Well, a bit better, but extremely late dinner because of work. No more of those shifts coming up, so I hope to make some real progress this week. Prepping meals for the next few days and have already put them into my MFP tracker. Spring cleaning of the body : - )
Day 87: Tues, 4/26: 135.4 - The weight that I have been feeling like I was at. I have been at all of these weights several times in the past. At 5'2", 2 or 3 pounds makes a big difference in the fit of my clothes and stuff.
Day 88: Wed, 4/27: DNW - Up at 3am, thinking that I would go back to bed, drinking water and stuff. Never did go back to bed, belly full of coffee now, so not going to weigh.
Day 89: Thurs, 4/28: 135.2 - Planting certain things this time of year. Digging, bending, squatting, lunging, lots to do to prepare the soil beforehand. I have one area of my pea garden completely turned over and planted, I will do more of it today after work. It takes a long time, so burns a ton of calories. Once that is done I will begin the potato garden, which usually takes me about a week. I dance workout beforehand so that I don't hurt myself : - )
Day 90: Fri, 4/29: 134.2 - I had a couple of very high calorie burn days working in my garden on top of my usual daily activities. I will post a screen capture. Going out tonight, so hoping that I am not up 3 pounds overnight (which could happen and has in the past).

This was Monday April 25th, not only did I burn a lot of calories, but I also consumed less that day because I was so busy. This is the first time that I have seen such a low number (if every day was like today you would weigh...)
And this was yesterday. My sodium looks very high, but it actually wasn't, I had 100g of pork belly for dinner, and didn't really find the right thing to put it under that compared with the package except for the calorie content.
Calories remaining in the green were very high on both days. Historically the only time that I lose weight is when I keep the green more than 500 each day. Every person is different of course.

It's so easy for me to eat simple when it's local. So tired of all the same foods in our two restaurants! Out-of-town is Exciting and New things. And foods we don't have like chinese, thai, mexican, italian. I have to remember portion control though during those times I'm eating heavier. Thanks for the reminder. That can be a secret weapon!1 -

Day 85…..04/24…..204.2…..(Trend weight 201.5) 3.6 lbs overnight gain because of dinner out. WTH? Rotiss chicken breast, a side of pasta, a side of cottage cheese. 2 Oatmeal raisin cookies. Not exactly a diet meal but over 3 ½ pounds? Okey dokey. Bad weather has already started for the day. Rain, thunderstorms, hail expected and possible tornado watches today. I guess I’ll be inside.

Diet was just so-so and exercise wasn’t exactly structured but I’m happy to see it dropping back down. Time to get out of the 200 prison I’m in.

Travel today with my 77 year old friend several hours each way to get her to her neurology appointment for essential tremors. Lunch/Dinner will be out.

There has been a lot more of carry-out dinners and local restaurant meals but I’ve been keeping the choices reasonable. To me, in this very small town, the local restaurant food is tiresome after 24 years here. It’s much easier to not over-indulge than when I go to bigger cities that have so many delicious and hard-to-resist choices. I love trying new things and that often gets me in trouble! Anyway, glad to see a nice drop today even after dinner carry-out (Mexican). I’m going to try to get more movement today but I dunno…. We’ll see how the schedule goes. My birthday is May 10th. I would love to give myself the present of being solidly under 200!

Day 85: Sun, 4/24: 138.0 - Crazy jump, healthy day, lots of activity. I will try not to pay attention to this number. Tonight will be a late dinner because of work. I only had one day off, and haven't had to work a Sunday in over 6 months. I don't like it. It should be the last.
Day 86: Mon, 4/25: 137.4 - Well, a bit better, but extremely late dinner because of work. No more of those shifts coming up, so I hope to make some real progress this week. Prepping meals for the next few days and have already put them into my MFP tracker. Spring cleaning of the body : - )
Day 87: Tues, 4/26: 135.4 - The weight that I have been feeling like I was at. I have been at all of these weights several times in the past. At 5'2", 2 or 3 pounds makes a big difference in the fit of my clothes and stuff.
Day 88: Wed, 4/27: DNW - Up at 3am, thinking that I would go back to bed, drinking water and stuff. Never did go back to bed, belly full of coffee now, so not going to weigh.
Day 89: Thurs, 4/28: 135.2 - Planting certain things this time of year. Digging, bending, squatting, lunging, lots to do to prepare the soil beforehand. I have one area of my pea garden completely turned over and planted, I will do more of it today after work. It takes a long time, so burns a ton of calories. Once that is done I will begin the potato garden, which usually takes me about a week. I dance workout beforehand so that I don't hurt myself : - )
Day 90: Fri, 4/29: 134.2 - I had a couple of very high calorie burn days working in my garden on top of my usual daily activities. I will post a screen capture. Going out tonight, so hoping that I am not up 3 pounds overnight (which could happen and has in the past).

Food hangover. Hmm. Well, for sure what we put in our bodies affects our health, energy, brain, emotional and physical state. I think that this is why chocolate is such a comfort to some people?
We have to take care of our bodies and feed them to be at their optimal working state. I think my bigger body is fighting for more food so I am going to have to plan more volume with less calories and carbs to get through this. According to Fitbit, I’ve had more sleep last night but I feel hungover. Is there such a thing as a food hangover?

Day 95…..05/04…..203.8…..(Trend weight 202.9) I had a good day of eating yesterday so I expected a drop. I checked my fitbit stats this morning and boy, oh, boy! Was my movement level ever low! Barely over 3000 steps for the day due to lots on online bill paying and many phone calls. That explains it! Out of town tomorrow, a bit of a trip again for my friend's brain scan to determine possible parkinsons. Lots more sitting and meals out. Never good when it's out of town.
