My countdown to healthier

So I started Nov 1 with the goal of making better health choices in order to be healthier and comfortable in my body. This is actually my second time with MFP. I lost 80 lbs the first time several years ago but since then I've had 4 kids and put back on most of that. I'd love to connect with others to keep each other motivated and help with accountability as well as sharing our challenges and solutions.

My starting weight this time was 257. I know I need to lose a lot of weight but my first goal was 10% of my body weight and as of Feb 2 I have been under that goal for a week! So now I am looking to lose 9% of my current weight. I don't have a time frame, just adjusting my calorie goals as I meet my loss goal and focusing on making better choices.

I've also started going to the gym. Initially I did 10 minutes 8 times a month, then in December increased it to 15 minutes 8 times a month and January I went to 20 minutes. My February goal is 20 minutes 4 times a week. Mostly I just walk on the treadmill but it's more than I used to do! I definitely do better with incremental changes that I can turn into a routine.

I'm excited to have reached my first goal and looking forward to my progress!
