Hello ! Time to take care of my health!

In February 2022, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I was about 100 pounds overweight and mostly sedentary. Back at the beginning of the pandemic, I joined an alternative site and was successful in losing around 30 pounds, but I lost interest in logging meals and eventually went camping on vacation... and completely lost focus.

I've been logging food at MFP for 40 days. It's been a challenge to figure out just how much of what I should eat throughout the day to keep my blood sugar more stable. While I don't have a sweet tooth (I'm actually sweet averse) I love bread and pasta. That said, I love life even more, so it's worth figuring out how to make it all work for me. My goal is to kick the crap out of my diabetes and other diagnoses and thrive! I've been focusing on the glycemic index and glycemic load of carbs to keep my sugar stable.

I'm looking for friends who are in similar circumstances, with whom to share great products, meal ideas, and accountability. We can do it!
