    My goal for 2022 is to get into ONEderland and make it stick. Changing my life.

    Day 1: Tues, 5/10: 216.5 No exercise. 1532 cal (-180 red), 66 net carbs, 1.5 glass wine. DH & I tested positive on Tuesday 5/3 for COVID19. We quarantined per CDC for 5 days. I was asymptomatic except for a headache the first day and then tested negative for Covid on Monday 5/9 so I’ve been cleared. DH still has flu like symptoms and tested positive on Mon. We are using the CUE system which is a PCR like test that DH’s company provided employees.
    Day 2: Wed, 5/11: 216.4 Short walk .6 miles. 1725 cal (-346 red), 45 net carbs, 2 glass wine.
    Day 3: Thurs, 5/12: 216.4 No exercise. Played with my 4 month old granddaughter instead :) 1631 cal (-330 red), 107 net carbs, 2 glass wine. Lunch at Mexican restaurant with DIL where we split fajitas making salads and neither of us at the rice, beans or tortillas. But of course we ate chips! Happy that the scale did not blow up on that minor splurge.
    Day 4: Fri, 5/13: 218.4 Cancelled our trip. DH still has congestion and fatigue from his bout of COVID. My students from ESL class gave me a dozen beautiful roses :) No exercise. 1839 cal ( -507), 126 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Blew my focus on healthy eating … sabotaging myself with fried okra & cornbread for lunch and pizza at dinner! What am I thinking!
    Day 5: Sat, 5/14: 217.3 Walk 3.2 miles. Why can’t I get back into the groove. I know my knee hurts but that is not excuse for skipping my strength class! 1562 cal (-73 green), 93 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Not bad given that DH & I picked up lunch and took it over to our daughter today to check on her … she had the pregnancy blues. Made up for it with salmon with spinach & white beans easy light dinner.

    Success with picking back up on my Strong & Fit classes again but my walking is still a struggle in the heat. My knee feels a little better and I think the lunges and squats are helping. However, I blew off journaling every bite because I was eating everything. That has to stop! Starting to journal again this morning.

    Day 20: Sun, 5/29: DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 with my sister cleaning out mom’s house since she has an offer … mom will move into my smaller house next door if the sell goes through. Tons of stuff there as she loved shopping garage sales and it was my grandfathers before. The house has been in the family since 1954 and it grew organically with many additions and remodels over the years.
    Managing my mother’s expectations and the entire situation has been really challenging and I’ve totally derailed on my weight loss journey losing all focus on myself.

    Day 31: Thurs, 6/9: 219.0 Walked .8 miles. My normal 3 mile walk was cut short by a call from my sister. She had an allergic reaction to the dye in her annual CT scan. So I turned around hurried home and picked her up. She came to my house to rest in bed till noon then felt better but still had a headache. She is the only one of our family that still has the symptoms (fatigue, drainage down the throat, etc) from Covid well over a month ago. She is also the one in the poorest health having had stage 4 breast cancer 15 years ago. She is fine but went to bed still with the headache last night.
    Then after lunch my 37 weeks pregnant daughter calls. She lost her mucus plug with lots of blood, scared her, went home from work and called the doctor. So she too was resting with her feet up.
    DH & I babysat my granddaughter at their house while the parents had a movie & sushi date night :)
    More calls and setting up viewings of my mom’s home.
    Overall I’m not sure where the day went but I accomplished nothing on my todo list! I also didn’t snack!
    Day 32: Fri, 6/10: DNW Walked 1 mile, Strength Training 1 hr.
    Day 33: Sat, 6/11: 219.0 No Exercise. Busy day but lazy and did not join my Strength Training class.

    Day 34: Sun, 6/12: 220.1 Walked 4 miles. Wrong direction! Do NOT like seeing that number. When am I going to start focusing on me? Problem last few nights … Asleep before 10pm but I’m up and totally awake around 3-4 which is not healthy for me. So many things running through my mind that I have no control over … selling my mom’s house, my daughter is due any day, caring for my son’s dogs this weekend. At least I did get out and walk the dogs! Caught up the laundry, grocery shopped, menu planned. Today I’ll focus on me myself and I.
    Day 35: Mon, 6/13: 219.0 Walked 3 miles. Much of what I did today was again for the sell of my mom’s home following up with the buyer and their questions after the inspection on Friday. BUT I did walk, wash my hair, file my nails, color a mosaic mandala, read and cooked 3 new meals (breakfast lunch & dinner). Baby steps focusing on me.
    Day 36: Tues, 6/14: 219.2 Walked 3.2 miles. WAY TOO MUCH snacking through stress today. Attended morning spanish class, afternoon sketching class (I’m definitely the amateur!), evening spanish assessment for another M & W evening class with DH, many calls and scheduling for my mom’s house, lots of interruptions while in classes.
    ALSO my daughter started having minor contractions but no baby movement … they went to the hospital to make sure the baby was okay and were sent home to continue the early labor after finding the baby’s strong heartbeat and the monitor recognizing more contractions that my daughter was feeling. She thought they were 10 min apart but they were 6 min apart, 2cc dilated, 80% effaced. Exciting that their baby due July 1 with a scheduled inducement for June 23 will likely be earlier than expected. Good news because they are having what the doctor predicts as a big baby.
    Day 37: Wed, 6/15: 220.4 Strength Training Class 1 hr. I’m on watch for grand baby #2! DD has had what the hospital Monday evening called labor contractions (not Braxton Hicks) regularly about 6 min apart but not long enough or strong enough to keep her there. So yesterday she decided not to go into work and joined me in visiting my granddaughter and DIL. We helped out since my son is out of town this week working. My DIL asked if I could babysit so she could go grocery shopping and prep cook for her sister’s bachelorette party this weekend. It was a fun day. Did not stay into the evening like I originally planned since DD wanted to go home and rest. But all in all I ended up with 2 restaurant meals and snacks and the scale shows that I’m not on point and focused.

    Day 41: Sun, 6/19: 219.2 Walked 1.5 miles but my son’s dog laid down at least 2x because he is not use to walking. 6mo old very large Doberman. DH did the normal 3 mile walk with our dog.
    Day 42: Mon, 6/20: 219.7 Walked 1 mile with my son’s dog … this is very challenging. In addition, he is pulling up my plants in the back yard!!! Looks like my son will not be out of the hospital until mid week and has follow up with surgeon on Friday. Hopefully he is able to fly home this weekend and then we’ll need to return his dog to Austin.
    Day 43: Tues, 6/21: 219.6 Walked 1 mile with my son’s dog. Skipped all my daytime Monday leisure classes and book club that evening so that I could concentrate on the sell of mom's house. Also cancelled my plans to study Spanish on Mon & Wed evenings this summer. I had taken too much on with the new grandbaby, DH's retirement, Mom's sell of her home and her moving into my camp house. Renegotiated on the owner financing once again. Basically changed Mom's address online for everything except doctors and pharmacy which she will handle! Rural area and since I didn't have a mailbox for the camp house ... got that too taken care of.

    Day 44: Wed, 6/22: 219.8 Walked 1 mile with my son’s dog. Updated contracts for my mom’s house and spent the day with DD to reduce her anxiety and boredom as she waits for the baby! We did mani/pedi :) Ordered internet for the camp house to separate it from mom's. Renegotiated mowing contract to break it away from mowing the larger house's 2 lots and just mow my 1 lot. Transferred trash service to the camp house, too. Got the updated contracts and they are now executed!
    Day 45: Thurs, 6/23: 219.1 No exercise. A little less stressful. When on the phone with DD … DH came in with a can of pumpkin wanting me to bake pumpkin cookies. Of course this was just the distraction I needed! Not the calories LOL Mom is having a moving sale and I'm not sure what all she is getting rid of or keeping. She is being unreasonable about a number of things but then I can't be down there since I need to be here to help my daughter. My sister is heading down to help mom and plans to stay through the closing. Oh and I designed a budget and plan for setting up new Fidelity account for mom so that we could ensure she doesn't burn through the monthly income from the owner financing since she never saves and this was to be her savings for moving to Houston and getting an apartment or assisted living in a few years. Made sure she has more income now than earlier for monthly use so she can travel with a friend.
    Day 46: Fri, 6/24: 221.1 We have a beautiful little granddaughter! Margot 7l bs 15 oz 20.75 inches.
    Day 47: Sat, 6/25: 220.7 Walked 1 mile. DD had to stay in the hospital an extra day but baby and mom are doing well.

    Day 48: Sun, 6/26: DNW Walked 1 mile. Unusual schedule since I stayed with my daughter & her husband when she and the baby came home. Almost everything else went on hold.
    Day 49: Mon, 6/27: DNW My daughter is doing really well with her new baby. DH picked up our son and wife at the Austin airport and took their dog home. Whew that was a bundle of energy.
    Day 50: Tues, 6/28: DNW Skipped all my leisure classes and focused on my new granddaughter.
    Day 51: Wed, 6/29: 221 Stressful day … selling boat on consignment, reading contracts for mom’s sell by owner with owner financing, issues with setting up internet for our camp house where my mom is moving, etc etc. All I wanted was to be supporting my daughter and holding my granddaughter instead I was on the phone a ton of the time.
    Day 52: Thurs, 6/30: 221.5 Continued getting corrections on the contracts for the sell of mom’s house. Confirmed the buyer transferred the funds and got insurance before the closing. Also disconnected internet at the old house now that we have it working at the little house. I did though catch up with a friend shooting sporting clays for a couple of hours! Also DH and I got our medical insurance straight since we’ll no longer be covered by his old company starting July 1.
    Day 53: Fri, 7/1: 220.9 Walked 3+ miles. Completed mom’s closing but the wire transfer will not happen until Tuesday due to the title company closing for a 4 day weekend. Felt like I accomplished nothing except grocery shopping and investigating medical insurance plans. Need to find a new focus … oh yeah right … it should be me!
    Day 54: Sat, 7/2: 220.6 No exercise. The house closed and the wire transfer is pending in mom’s acct. The last time my mom received a large sum from inheritance she blew the whole $300k in less than a year. So with her permission I worked on mom’s financials and set up an investment acct for the house downpayment. This for a woman that didn’t have a savings account for the past 40 years until her husband passed away at the end of 2020 and then I set her up a savings acct with automatic deposits from her checking. Doing the same for the owner financing where the majority of the loan payments will go to her investment account, then some to savings and minor portion to checking.
    Afterward I spent the afternoon with my new granddaughter.
    Needless to say meals were not great either. Chili & Fritos for lunch then Grimaldi’s pizza and wine for dinner.

    Day 55: Sun, 7/3: 222.4 Walked 1 mile. All the kids were here for our family celebration with the new grandbabies. Huge spread of hamburgers & brats, tater tots & zucchini fries + key lime pie for our mid day meal. DH & I will have leftovers for days. I ate the hamburger as a salad without bun and the zucchini fries but obviously the 2 pieces of pie hit me hard … or was it the one Heineken 0.0? Not sure since I thought I had been pretty good. Called a neighbor and got a great family photo since we had all of us together! Now to get myself slimmer for the next family photo! I need to get out of the 220s.
    Day 56: Mon, 7/4: 220.0 Walked 3 miles, meal planning was good, the rest of the day I either read, caught up on my sleep or shopped the sales online (2 granddaughters to buy magneticme & simply magnetic sleeping outfits).
    Day 57: Tues, 7/5: 221.8 Gardening in the heat.
    Day 58: Wed, 7/6: DNW Strength Training class 1 hr. Helped DD after she had a rough night with the baby. Ensured DD got lunch, afternoon nap, a shower, picked up the house for her, helped her figure out her breast pump, and gave her lots of hugs and support. Mom & baby are doing fine. Then fed my sister dinner and wine to celebrate her return from a week+ of helping my mom with the move and unloaded her car of all my stuff she brought back.
    Day 59: Thurs, 7/7: 221.5 No exercise … my knee is bothering me. But I did go up and down the stairs a million times LOL. Unpacked and found a new home in my house for everything that came back from the camp that my mom doesn’t need so she had space to put her own stuff. Cooked a tasty Hello Fresh dinner of Bulgogi Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Carrots & Lemony Rice
    Day 60: Fri, 7/8: 221.6 Swam with my granddaughter. No real exercise for the day.
    Day 61: Sat, 7/9: 222.4 No exercise. Wonderful girls day hanging out with my DD, DIL, sister and the 2 grandbabies over lunch that I brought to DD’s house. Dinner out too. DH and I found a new to us Italian restaurant about 11 miles away which was very good. Ran into friends and sat with them in the bar area for dinner. Fun time and really great food. DH & I split toasted ravioli and Cappellini Crusted Red Snapper - red snapper filet wrapped with angel hair pasta topped with artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, and green onions in bianco sauce. Served with a side of steamed vegetable medley. YUMMY!

    I got very close in the end. After all a great result. :)

    Perhaps it was helped along by getting in my first lane swim of the season last night.
    Didn't know if I could do it at all after my ankle surgery but took it easy and it was great - not like before - but great.
    I'm joining in late. I started this diet and myfitnesspal on May 31st. I do track my weight everyday. I find that it works for me mainly because it avoids making a weekly weigh in so impactful and therefore stressful. I am trying to lose 33.6 pounds in total. At my height the extra 33 pounds was making me borderline obese going by a BMI of 29.5.

    Hoping to do 1.5 pounds a week for now and then taper off to 1 pound and finally half a pound.

    Are you afraid to let them roam because of predators?

    I'm actually afraid Pebbles may not come back since I found her as an outside cat in the woods. I'm afraid that Harriet will try to get back to my brother's house a couple of miles away. We do have a fox that has been sighted in our area too. We did find a carcass (just bones) of an animal on the side of my house about 2 months ago. I had handyman look at it and he said it's either a cat or a raccoon. Too large for a squirrel. So I'm not taking any chances!

    Day 60…..07/08…..201.8…..(Trend weight 203.2) Wow! What fatigue yesterday. Laid down on the couch at 4:30 dozing off and on (I don’t take naps normally). I probably only ate about 500 calories. I got up to go to bed at 1:30 AM and was up at 6:00. I only got in 2100 steps so my scale didn’t go down much. I felt so bad I even took an at-home covid test but it was solidly negative. Sore and in pain today from all the laying down. My body is not used to that! I’m still feeling woozy. I hope it gets better. I am babysitting DGS today. I am being scheduled for a CTA scan which is less invasive than a heart cath. Waiting for the call on date and time.

    Day 61…..07/09…..199.6…..(Trend weight 202.9) Finally day 4 of no TMI and relief came! It showed up on the scale in a big way. Onederland! Can I hang on to that elusive old friend of mine? Time will tell. I have been feeling fatigue and bad cough since Thursday. Finally tested positive for covid last night. Left message for Dr who called me back and said just take it easy at home. No need for hospital. Retest after the 5th day of symptoms. I am vaccinated x 3 but didn’t get the 4th booster this summer due to all those heart tests. Cardiologist had said to wait so I had planned the newest one available in the fall. Clearly the old vacs are wearing off. So far, this has not affected my hunger. I’ve even logged for part of the day until I just get too tired to get up and finish or close it out. However, I know I’ve been below my 1400 calories and stayed within my macros because I have still carefully planned my meals and snacks. Just not a lot of movement and no exercise. This feels like a cold, not a bad cold, but definitely a bad cough doing some damage to my throat. Most of my meds are packed somewhere due to renovation. Sending out for new cough syrup and throat lozenges later.

    Day 55: Sun, 7/3: 138.4 - I will have to get on top of that immediately, 2+ pound gain in one day. Raining for the next couple of days, I will get a bunch of indoor workouts in today.
    Day 56: Mon, 7/4: 141.0 - Yowsa!
    Day 57: Tues, 7/5: 140.4 - I ate very very late last night, so am hoping that this weight will come back down soon. Dinner tonight will not be at an optimum time because of an appointment, but nowhere near as late as yesterday. Another food holiday for y'all in the states yesterday. We north americans eat a lot comparatively.
    Day 58: Wed, 7/6: 138.6 - That is a bit better. I have been learning Spanish in the mornings on duolingo. I have kind of cut into my workout time by doing so, but all good.
    Day 59: Thurs, 7/7: 138.6 - I got in a very good workout in the morning yesterday, was busy at work and didn't get a chance to eat. Lots of calories burned, very little food. I expect a drop (hopefully) soon.
    Day 60: Fri, 7/8: 138.5 - Honestly expect a much bigger loss. I did however have a late dinner because I ended up working last night when someone called in sick. I might have something indulgent tonight anyway. Still higher than the beginning of this week. I would rather be "stuck" at 128

I was asymptomatic except for a headache the first day and then tested negative for Covid on Monday 5/9 so I’ve been cleared. DH still has flu like symptoms and tested positive on Mon. We are using the CUE system which is a PCR like test that DH’s company provided employees.
    Day 2: Wed, 5/11: 216.4 Short walk .6 miles. 1725 cal (-346 red), 45 net carbs, 2 glass wine.
    Day 3: Thurs, 5/12: 216.4 No exercise. Played with my 4 month old granddaughter instead :) 1631 cal (-330 red), 107 net carbs, 2 glass wine. Lunch at Mexican restaurant with DIL where we split fajitas making salads and neither of us at the rice, beans or tortillas. But of course we ate chips! Happy that the scale did not blow up on that minor splurge.
    Day 4: Fri, 5/13: 218.4 Cancelled our trip. DH still has congestion and fatigue from his bout of COVID. My students from ESL class gave me a dozen beautiful roses :) No exercise. 1839 cal ( -507), 126 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Blew my focus on healthy eating … sabotaging myself with fried okra & cornbread for lunch and pizza at dinner! What am I thinking!
    Day 5: Sat, 5/14: 217.3 Walk 3.2 miles. Why can’t I get back into the groove. I know my knee hurts but that is not excuse for skipping my strength class! 1562 cal (-73 green), 93 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Not bad given that DH & I picked up lunch and took it over to our daughter today to check on her … she had the pregnancy blues. Made up for it with salmon with spinach & white beans easy light dinner.

She is the only one of our family that still has the symptoms (fatigue, drainage down the throat, etc) from Covid well over a month ago. She is also the one in the poorest health having had stage 4 breast cancer 15 years ago. She is fine but went to bed still with the headache last night.
    Then after lunch my 37 weeks pregnant daughter calls. She lost her mucus plug with lots of blood, scared her, went home from work and called the doctor. So she too was resting with her feet up.
    DH & I babysat my granddaughter at their house while the parents had a movie & sushi date night :)
    More calls and setting up viewings of my mom’s home.
    Overall I’m not sure where the day went but I accomplished nothing on my todo list! I also didn’t snack!

    Day 35: Mon, 6/13: 219.0 Walked 3 miles. Much of what I did today was again for the sell of my mom’s home following up with the buyer and their questions after the inspection on Friday. BUT I did walk, wash my hair, file my nails, color a mosaic mandala, read and cooked 3 new meals (breakfast lunch & dinner). Baby steps focusing on me.
    Day 36: Tues, 6/14: 219.2 Walked 3.2 miles. WAY TOO MUCH snacking through stress today. Attended morning spanish class, afternoon sketching class (I’m definitely the amateur!), evening spanish assessment for another M & W evening class with DH, many calls and scheduling for my mom’s house, lots of interruptions while in classes.
    ALSO my daughter started having minor contractions but no baby movement … they went to the hospital to make sure the baby was okay and were sent home to continue the early labor after finding the baby’s strong heartbeat and the monitor recognizing more contractions that my daughter was feeling. She thought they were 10 min apart but they were 6 min apart, 2cc dilated, 80% effaced. Exciting that their baby due July 1 with a scheduled inducement for June 23 will likely be earlier than expected. Good news because they are having what the doctor predicts as a big baby.
    Day 37: Wed, 6/15: 220.4 Strength Training Class 1 hr. I’m on watch for grand baby #2! DD has had what the hospital Monday evening called labor contractions (not Braxton Hicks) regularly about 6 min apart but not long enough or strong enough to keep her there. So yesterday she decided not to go into work and joined me in visiting my granddaughter and DIL. We helped out since my son is out of town this week working. My DIL asked if I could babysit so she could go grocery shopping and prep cook for her sister’s bachelorette party this weekend. It was a fun day. Did not stay into the evening like I originally planned since DD wanted to go home and rest. But all in all I ended up with 2 restaurant meals and snacks and the scale shows that I’m not on point and focused.

    Day 41: Sun, 6/19: 219.2 Walked 1.5 miles but my son’s dog laid down at least 2x because he is not use to walking. 6mo old very large Doberman. DH did the normal 3 mile walk with our dog.
    Day 42: Mon, 6/20: 219.7 Walked 1 mile with my son’s dog … this is very challenging. In addition, he is pulling up my plants in the back yard!!! Looks like my son will not be out of the hospital until mid week and has follow up with surgeon on Friday. Hopefully he is able to fly home this weekend and then we’ll need to return his dog to Austin.
    Day 43: Tues, 6/21: 219.6 Walked 1 mile with my son’s dog. Skipped all my daytime Monday leisure classes and book club that evening so that I could concentrate on the sell of mom's house. Also cancelled my plans to study Spanish on Mon & Wed evenings this summer. I had taken too much on with the new grandbaby, DH's retirement, Mom's sell of her home and her moving into my camp house. Renegotiated on the owner financing once again. Basically changed Mom's address online for everything except doctors and pharmacy which she will handle! Rural area and since I didn't have a mailbox for the camp house ... got that too taken care of.

    Day 44: Wed, 6/22: 219.8 Walked 1 mile with my son’s dog. Updated contracts for my mom’s house and spent the day with DD to reduce her anxiety and boredom as she waits for the baby! We did mani/pedi :) Ordered internet for the camp house to separate it from mom's. Renegotiated mowing contract to break it away from mowing the larger house's 2 lots and just mow my 1 lot. Transferred trash service to the camp house, too. Got the updated contracts and they are now executed!
    Day 45: Thurs, 6/23: 219.1 No exercise. A little less stressful. When on the phone with DD … DH came in with a can of pumpkin wanting me to bake pumpkin cookies. Of course this was just the distraction I needed! Not the calories LOL Mom is having a moving sale and I'm not sure what all she is getting rid of or keeping. She is being unreasonable about a number of things but then I can't be down there since I need to be here to help my daughter. My sister is heading down to help mom and plans to stay through the closing. Oh and I designed a budget and plan for setting up new Fidelity account for mom so that we could ensure she doesn't burn through the monthly income from the owner financing since she never saves and this was to be her savings for moving to Houston and getting an apartment or assisted living in a few years. Made sure she has more income now than earlier for monthly use so she can travel with a friend.
    Day 46: Fri, 6/24: 221.1 We have a beautiful little granddaughter! Margot 7l bs 15 oz 20.75 inches.
    Day 47: Sat, 6/25: 220.7 Walked 1 mile. DD had to stay in the hospital an extra day but baby and mom are doing well.

    Day 48: Sun, 6/26: DNW Walked 1 mile. Unusual schedule since I stayed with my daughter & her husband when she and the baby came home. Almost everything else went on hold.
    Day 49: Mon, 6/27: DNW My daughter is doing really well with her new baby. DH picked up our son and wife at the Austin airport and took their dog home. Whew that was a bundle of energy.
    Day 50: Tues, 6/28: DNW Skipped all my leisure classes and focused on my new granddaughter.
    Day 51: Wed, 6/29: 221 Stressful day … selling boat on consignment, reading contracts for mom’s sell by owner with owner financing, issues with setting up internet for our camp house where my mom is moving, etc etc. All I wanted was to be supporting my daughter and holding my granddaughter instead I was on the phone a ton of the time.
    Day 52: Thurs, 6/30: 221.5 Continued getting corrections on the contracts for the sell of mom’s house. Confirmed the buyer transferred the funds and got insurance before the closing. Also disconnected internet at the old house now that we have it working at the little house. I did though catch up with a friend shooting sporting clays for a couple of hours! Also DH and I got our medical insurance straight since we’ll no longer be covered by his old company starting July 1.
    Day 53: Fri, 7/1: 220.9 Walked 3+ miles. Completed mom’s closing but the wire transfer will not happen until Tuesday due to the title company closing for a 4 day weekend. Felt like I accomplished nothing except grocery shopping and investigating medical insurance plans. Need to find a new focus … oh yeah right … it should be me!
    Day 54: Sat, 7/2: 220.6 No exercise. The house closed and the wire transfer is pending in mom’s acct. The last time my mom received a large sum from inheritance she blew the whole $300k in less than a year. So with her permission I worked on mom’s financials and set up an investment acct for the house downpayment. This for a woman that didn’t have a savings account for the past 40 years until her husband passed away at the end of 2020 and then I set her up a savings acct with automatic deposits from her checking. Doing the same for the owner financing where the majority of the loan payments will go to her investment account, then some to savings and minor portion to checking.
    Afterward I spent the afternoon with my new granddaughter.
    Needless to say meals were not great either. Chili & Fritos for lunch then Grimaldi’s pizza and wine for dinner.

    Day 55: Sun, 7/3: 222.4 Walked 1 mile. All the kids were here for our family celebration with the new grandbabies. Huge spread of hamburgers & brats, tater tots & zucchini fries + key lime pie for our mid day meal. DH & I will have leftovers for days. I ate the hamburger as a salad without bun and the zucchini fries but obviously the 2 pieces of pie hit me hard … or was it the one Heineken 0.0? Not sure since I thought I had been pretty good. Called a neighbor and got a great family photo since we had all of us together! Now to get myself slimmer for the next family photo! I need to get out of the 220s.
    Day 56: Mon, 7/4: 220.0 Walked 3 miles, meal planning was good, the rest of the day I either read, caught up on my sleep or shopped the sales online (2 granddaughters to buy magneticme & simply magnetic sleeping outfits).
    Day 57: Tues, 7/5: 221.8 Gardening in the heat.
    Day 58: Wed, 7/6: DNW Strength Training class 1 hr. Helped DD after she had a rough night with the baby. Ensured DD got lunch, afternoon nap, a shower, picked up the house for her, helped her figure out her breast pump, and gave her lots of hugs and support. Mom & baby are doing fine. Then fed my sister dinner and wine to celebrate her return from a week+ of helping my mom with the move and unloaded her car of all my stuff she brought back.
    Day 59: Thurs, 7/7: 221.5 No exercise … my knee is bothering me. But I did go up and down the stairs a million times LOL. Unpacked and found a new home in my house for everything that came back from the camp that my mom doesn’t need so she had space to put her own stuff. Cooked a tasty Hello Fresh dinner of Bulgogi Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Carrots & Lemony Rice
    Day 60: Fri, 7/8: 221.6 Swam with my granddaughter. No real exercise for the day.
    Day 61: Sat, 7/9: 222.4 No exercise. Wonderful girls day hanging out with my DD, DIL, sister and the 2 grandbabies over lunch that I brought to DD’s house. Dinner out too. DH and I found a new to us Italian restaurant about 11 miles away which was very good. Ran into friends and sat with them in the bar area for dinner. Fun time and really great food. DH & I split toasted ravioli and Cappellini Crusted Red Snapper - red snapper filet wrapped with angel hair pasta topped with artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, and green onions in bianco sauce. Served with a side of steamed vegetable medley. YUMMY!

I got up to go to bed at 1:30 AM and was up at 6:00. I only got in 2100 steps so my scale didn’t go down much. I felt so bad I even took an at-home covid test but it was solidly negative. Sore and in pain today from all the laying down. My body is not used to that! I’m still feeling woozy. I hope it gets better. I am babysitting DGS today. I am being scheduled for a CTA scan which is less invasive than a heart cath. Waiting for the call on date and time.

    07/09 …..199.6 ….. (Trend weight 202.9) Finally day 4 of no TMI and relief came! It showed up on the scale in a big way. Onederland! Can I hang on to that elusive old friend of mine? Time will tell. I have been feeling fatigue and bad cough since Thursday. Finally tested positive for covid last night. Left message for Dr who called me back and said just take it easy at home. No need for hospital. Retest after the 5th day of symptoms. I am vaccinated x 3 but didn’t get the 4th booster this summer due to all those heart tests. Cardiologist had said to wait so I had planned the newest one available in the fall. Clearly the old vacs are wearing off. So far, this has not affected my hunger. I’ve even logged for part of the day until I just get too tired to get up and finish or close it out. However, I know I’ve been below my 1400 calories and stayed within my macros because I have still carefully planned my meals and snacks. Just not a lot of movement and no exercise.

Very tired, not sleeping well and the worst part is the phlegm that causes such coughing. Throat getting rough . Feels more like pneumonia than anything, but I’ll wait and see how it is after day 5 is over. It’s far to a hospital for X-rays. Weight still coming down. I’m really trying to work on it. Spacing my meals out and leaving enough calories for a snack is key.

    @deepwoodslady - Gargle with warm salted water for your throat and to break up the phlegm! It helps and will hopefully keep it from moving to your lungs.

    Day 61…..07/09…..199.6…..(Trend weight 202.9) Finally day 4 of no TMI and relief came! It showed up on the scale in a big way. Onederland! Can I hang on to that elusive old friend of mine? Time will tell. I have been feeling fatigue and bad cough since Thursday. Finally tested positive for covid last night. Left message for Dr who called me back and said just take it easy at home. No need for hospital. Retest after the 5th day of symptoms. I am vaccinated x 3 but didn’t get the 4th booster this summer due to all those heart tests. Cardiologist had said to wait so I had planned the newest one available in the fall. Clearly the old vacs are wearing off. So far, this has not affected my hunger. I’ve even logged for part of the day until I just get too tired to get up and finish or close it out. However, I know I’ve been below my 1400 calories and stayed within my macros because I have still carefully planned my meals and snacks. Just not a lot of movement and no exercise. This feels like a cold, not a bad cold, but definitely a bad cough doing some damage to my throat. Most of my meds are packed somewhere due to renovation. Sending out for new cough syrup and throat lozenges later.

    Day 62…..07/10…..198.4…..(Trend weight 202.5) Watched calories carefully since I’m not getting in a lot of movement or exercise with this Covid virus. Appetite is good. I can still taste and smell. Very tired, not sleeping well and the worst part is the phlegm that causes such coughing. Throat getting rough . Feels more like pneumonia than anything, but I’ll wait and see how it is after day 5 is over. It’s far to a hospital for X-rays. Weight still coming down. I’m really trying to work on it. Spacing my meals out and leaving enough calories for a snack is key.

    Day 63…..07/11…..195.6…..(Trend weight 201.8) I went over calories in the red by 45 calories last night for the day, so before closing out I did some mild exercise that would not greatly affect my covid symptoms. I did a 6 minute slow walk around my rural back yard and then I did some stretching inside so I could get back in the green. I’m following my diet very well. Scale is catching up to efforts I think. No waterpill yesterday but still a drop. It’s funny……you get Covid and EVERYONE runs for the hills (as they should). But without all that influence, no daughter bringing home treats, no friend inviting you to dinner, no travel that includes restaurants, no holiday meals or social invites, no shopping for treats for grandson that you poke at too, etc. etc. it’s amazing how much faster you lose weight. If I had no social life…….. well, no, that would not be better I suppose. Anyway, clearly I’ve learned the meal prep, planning secrets, etc. Clearly I’ve learned what’s expected of me. It’s my response to the holidays, the social gatherings, etc. that are my weakness. I am stronger than I think when I’m locked in a box full of food and no one is here, but knowledge is power and I know I need to be just as strong when I’m with people who eat, eat eat.

    Pizza last night. Got in another swim but was still in the red by over 100 calories.
    I'm joining in late. I started this diet and myfitnesspal on May 31st. I do track my weight everyday. I find that it works for me mainly because it avoids making a weekly weigh in so impactful and therefore stressful. I am trying to lose 33.6 pounds in total. At my height the extra 33 pounds was making me borderline obese going by a BMI of 29.5.

    Hoping to do 1.5 pounds a week for now and then taper off to 1 pound and finally half a pound.
