What's your goal for that snack? Is your appetite spiked, do you think you need carb replenishment or some protein, or . . . ?

Personally, I usually just eat the next meal, or some regular snack, not some technical post-workout thing. IMO, if energy level is good, appetite managed well, and overall nutrition for the day pretty reasonable, I don't put any particular emphasis on special post-workout nutrition. YMMV, depending on your goals.

When I row (boats) in the AM, I have a light breakfast before, go home afterward and eat a lunch of oatmeal with berries, walnuts, nonfat Greek yogurt, peanut butter powder, blackstrap molasses, cinnamon, and on the side, coffee with frothed skim milk and an iced matcha with a lemon or lime wedge.

I usually do my bike rides in the afternoon (only 10-20 miles, not super long). I take some crispy chickpeas and a mini kind bar in my bike bag in case I get snacky (don't always eat either). If it's not quite time for dinner when I get home, I might have some string cheese, an apple or some prunes, maybe a pickled egg. If I start cooking dinner right away, I might eat some raw veggies while I'm cooking (cut them up first, if they're not prepped already).

Prepandemic, if I had back to back classes at the Y, I might have one of those no-sugar-added applesauce pouches or a shelf-stable chocolate milk in between classes for a little boost.
