7/6 - 162.9 (+.5) - Bloat & holiday damage💧176 oz., 🥗under, 💪strength training only, 👟7,696, ⛑+4 (162). What a long day it was! Still plan on sticking with fast (mind, body, soul) and hope to have the energy to squeeze in some cardio.

7/7 - 162 (-.9) - Really glad I fasted, feeling rejuvenated. 💧160 oz., 👟11,047 💪 247 active burn. 👟 11,047 ⛑+23 (172).

7/8 - 161.9 (-.1) - 💧 176 oz. , 🥗 under 👟 12,302 💪573. Another long one but I get to return to the water today. Volunteered at the community garden in the evening and feeling it in my buns and lower back (a lot of squatting& bending over). Not my usual hammie’s but shows me where I need to focus some workouts.

7/9 - 162.5 (+.6) - 💧180 oz., 🥗 under 👟 10,615 💪 630 ⛑ + 20 (185). Had a great time at the lake but sun was brutal. Betting increase is a combo of hormones & some sore muscles.

Big rains here yesterday—7+ inches in some areas. Our lovely tulip tree, planted 3 years ago, is leaning on the fence. 😢 We have someone coming out to see if they can pull it up and stake it. I hope so! Other than that we have no damage, but lots of trees down, power outages, and flooding in the area. I did eat ice cream to sooth myself last night.
7/07 - 179.8
Good day yesterday, foodwise. And Rory passed his Advanced Canine Good Citizen test. Today’s the last day of doggy school until August, although we’ll still be meeting a couple of friends for tracking. It’s great exercise—lots of walking on uneven ground—and fun! I have lots of salad makings for lunch.
7/08 - 180.2
I just don’t get it. My calories the past few week+ have been well below maintenance, and a bit below my goal, and I’m getting plenty of exercise between dog training and gardening. So discouraging. I’m about ready to give up and just live with it. If it weren’t for my belly, I wouldn’t much care, to be honest. But jeez, why give up stuff if it makes no difference? Waaaa! (No hugs needed, I’m just venting again.)
7/09 - 178.4
Just when I was ready to throw in the towel! I’ve been over my food the past few days and have no idea what would make me hover and bounce up like I did. Oh, well. It’s a mystery sometimes. Have a beautiful Saturday!

@ashleycarole86 Oh, the Calgary Stampede! I haven’t been since I was a little girl visiting my grandparents in Drumheller, where my mom grew up and my siblings were born and lived until their teens. I’d love a trip to Alberta. Maybe one of these days…. Have fun!5

7/6: 256.2 feel pretty good. I kept within my calorie goal the last two days.
7/7: 253.4 I don't know what happened, but I'll take it. I'm just hoping 🙏 I can stay within my calories tonight also. Worried because I'm feeling hungrier than usual today 😕
7/8: 254.0 went over by 200 cals yesterday. I consider it a good day because it could’ve been worse.
7/9: 253.8 I fought the late night snacking and I WON It was hard but YES I did it. The worse part was my hip ached all night which kept waking me making me so miserable but i wouldn't get out of bed because i was afraid I'd snack. I have an anniversary party to attend today. Wish me luck on keeping within my calories 🙃

7/6: 153.3 - it’s time to start thinking about eating in maintenance calories and upping my protein because I want to work on body recomposition. Maintenance calories scare me. Once I hit 151-152, I’ll be slowly upping my calories and watching what the scale does. Also, I’m excited to be back for my second round!
7/7: 154.1 - hormonal weight fluctuation… fun fun!
7/8: 152.9 - yesterday was a pretty good day and I’m happy with the results. I am on a roll with tracking! Maybe my best streak ever!
7/9: 152.8 - I’ll take it! I’m nervous about today because we have a dinner date and I want to enjoy it without going overboard, which is my tendency.

ROUND 191
SW: 174.4Day/Weight/Comment
6/26: 174.4 i will keep accepting these lower weights my scale is spitting out, just as i will accept the higher ones when it decides to tell the truth. maybe it's all my fault, and i should change the batteries? I forgot to mention my failures that have occurred since vacation. i am ashamed to say i have had a set back in my quitting smoking. i know that i will have to get that under control as well as my eating habits. i have also failed in my walking. i will need to get motivated and include that also. i have emotional stress in my life right now, which i see an end to in the future but that will take a few months. my weeks vacation visiting with family was nothing but smiles and laughter. driving home my failures began, and i realized i must do something besides diet and exercise for myself. i will continue to recognize my failures, but i will not beat myself up over them. a slow and steady path in the right direction is what i have chosen.
6/27: 174.4 i looked up how many calories i should be eating if i am sedentary and oh lordy lordy they're really trying to starve people! i did my check in yesterday and "whoop whoop" my neck is 1/2 in thinner! wow! was that a good feeling! i still haven't gotten back to my walks outside. i did spend 3 hours walking in a circle around my livingroom yesterday, and i think i am going to start calling the time i struggle with the dog to take her medicine "my cardio workout".
6/28: 174.8 OK scale... i must weigh 174.(something). my calories were good, my macros were good. my exercise was non-existant. aaarrrgggh, i thought getting back to exercising would be easier than this.
6/29: 174 changed the batteries in my scale, and my weight remained about the same. i'm owing my scale an apology now for accusing it of lying to me. my calorie intake was super low yesterday, i wasn't feeling very hungry. maybe it was because of the migraine lurking to attack me last night, but it's almost noon time today and i still have no appetite. i was thinking earlier how great this group is. no one is judgmental and everyone so supportive. it's excellent therapy without the giant price tag.
6/30: 173.6 another day of too low intake, but again great macros. i forced myself to go for my walk yesterday. 1.9mi @3mph. when i got home i was questioning my sanity. 2 weeks without walking, last night felt like a nightmare, but i'm sure it'll get better again. i am trying to do my walks 3-4 times a week.
7/: 172.4 calorie intake was at "sustain" level, so i'm shocked to see this loss. macros pretty good.
7/2: 174.0 calories were good. it had rained all day, so i never went on my walk. weighed myself in the afternoon, after already eating. today i will be hooking up with my sister and her family. we are going to a dinner theatre so i am expecting a gain for tomorrow.
7/3: 175.4 that's a huge move in the wrong direction. i went 700 calories over my allowed amount yesterday... shameful. i will be going on a cruise in 2 weeks, i am already anticipating the work i will have to do when i get back from that.
7/4: 173.6 of course there's a cookout today. it shouldn't be much of a problem through
7/5: 173.8 yes, i went over my calories again, 545 this time. if i could have gotten some walking in like i swore i would get back to things wouldn't be so bad. unfortunate for me, it's been nothing but rain and looks like continued rain for about another week.
ROUND 192
SW: 172.6
Day/Weight/Comment
7/6: 172.6
7/7: 174.2
7/8: 174.8 obviously going in the wrong direction, and i'm not sure why. i've been watching my calories. it's either the walking or water intake. it's been raining, so i haven't been walking. because i haven't been walking, i haven't been drinking as much water. i'll work on that
7/9: 173.8 increased my water, and took a lot of laps around the living room. lots of things to do today to keep me busy. only 7 more days before i leave for the cruise. i need to get packed!

7/6 / 164.6 / Sun is shining so I hope to take my lunchtime walk outdoors today. Also want to get on the Peloton tonight.
7/7 164.4 / Today feels like a bit of the calm before the storm. Starting tomorrow, I have a lot of corporate events for the Calgary Stampede, and in less than two weeks we're on our way to Ontario to visit Brad's family. Oh, and my brother is coming tomorrow to stay for a while too! Lots to do. I did get my long ride in on the Peloton last night and will try to ride again tonight if I can fit it in.
7/8 / 163.4 / Started my Stampede with the parade.. beautiful weather. Kevin Costner was the marshal. There was a breakfast included with our seats that was yummy. I worked this afternoon. Tonight we lay low as my husband has a Gran Fondo bike race tomorrow (his first ever!) so we are up early to go to that.
7/9 / 163 / In beautiful Longview, Alberta while my husband does his first ever Gran Fondo race to the Highwood Pass. SO PROUD! He has been unstoppable since his hip replacement. Afterwards we will go to a friend's child's birthday if he has the energy.

07/05 …..205.0….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
07/06 …..203.2 ….. (Trend weight 203.6)
07/07 …..202.0 ….. (Trend weight 203.4) No sleep last night. Feel horrible. No TMI day 2. I did have the water pill yesterday. Some weeks it ends up back to back because I take it every other day, so not today. Zapped of energy. I just want to lay on the couch but two handymen are coming. Cardiologist’s RN called yesterday and said I have 50% ejection fraction. Should be 60-75% so I am what they consider on the borderline for heart failure. That’s on the left ventricle issue. New issue showed up on the rest test. Lower part of my heart has scarring on two of the walls which indicates I’ve had a heart attack. We don’t know when. Good news is that blood is still flowing all around the bottom so no real bad damage at this point. Bad news is that over time the scarring will cause a stiffening that will make it hard for the heart to beat. July 12th is the appointment when we discuss treatment plans if any. Could be much better, could be much worse. All I know is that I absolutely cannot breathe when exerting myself.
07/08 …..201.8 ….. (Trend weight 203.2) Wow! What fatigue yesterday. Laid down on the couch at 4:30 dozing off and on (I don’t take naps normally). I probably only ate about 500 calories. I got up to go to bed at 1:30 AM and was up at 6:00. I only got in 2100 steps so my scale didn’t go down much. I felt so bad I even took an at-home covid test but it was solidly negative. Sore and in pain today from all the laying down. My body is not used to that! I’m still feeling woozy. I hope it gets better. I am babysitting DGS today. I am being scheduled for a CTA scan which is less invasive than a heart cath. Waiting for the call on date and time.
07/09 …..199.6 ….. (Trend weight 202.9) Finally day 4 of no TMI and relief came! It showed up on the scale in a big way. Onederland! Can I hang on to that elusive old friend of mine? Time will tell. I have been feeling fatigue and bad cough since Thursday. Finally tested positive for covid last night. Left message for Dr who called me back and said just take it easy at home. No need for hospital. Retest after the 5th day of symptoms. I am vaccinated x 3 but didn’t get the 4th booster this summer due to all those heart tests. Cardiologist had said to wait so I had planned the newest one available in the fall. Clearly the old vacs are wearing off. So far, this has not affected my hunger. I’ve even logged for part of the day until I just get too tired to get up and finish or close it out. However, I know I’ve been below my 1400 calories and stayed within my macros because I have still carefully planned my meals and snacks. Just not a lot of movement and no exercise.

@deepwoodslady Donna, I’m so sorry to hear you tested positive. You don’t need this with your other problems! Were you feeling poorly or what was the reason for the test? Take care of yourself. Skip the carbs, concentrate on getting enough protein. And rest.
I’m so tired of the COVID hype - just saw a story the other day about “the worst variant yet” “It will infect everyone!” “Not as serious symptoms and fewer deaths” So much BS and scare tactics! Live in fear people- we’re all gonna die - eventually. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH2 -

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for almost 5 years with amazing results!
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
Up and down - just riding the waves of life. 🌊 🏄♀️ (My new mantra-3/19/22)

Bad day. My dog hurt her paw pads running on stones and so could not walk with me. It felt so wrong to go out and leave her sad and limping at home. Work was stressy. Family kept interrupting - WFH is so not nirvana. I gave up and ate junk.

7/6: 132.5 - Did a skeleton pre-log of things I knew I was going to eat, which helped me make better decisions earlier in the day as to what to eat. Got my workouts in and had a great sleep!
7/7: 132.7 - Extra long walk (5 miles) and an hour of Jazzercise workouts. Went to bed way too late though.
7/8: 132.7 - Had our weekly neighborhood get together on the driveway. Full crowd - it has been so nice to get to know our neighbors over the last couple of years. Normal workouts, leftovers for lunch and dinner. Sleep was a little better, but still went to bed too late.
7/9: 132.7 - Didn’t do my usual walk, but did get my workout in. Dinner was later than normal though and I went to bed really late.

7/9: 139.8 Not really surprising because we had Chinese food last night. I tried to make a healthy selection so I’m hoping it’s mostly water. Time will tell. I didn’t do my 16-hour fast because I had birthday pancakes with my mom. But I did go on a 15-mile bike ride, kind of by accident when I got lost, whoops! Have a happy Saturday everyone!

7/9 : 175.8 I struggled a bit on deciding to stay Keto or not. In the past, the first few days were big loses. This time seems a lot slower. I got over 10k steps the past two days. I have walked 6 days and went to Pilates 2 days. Going out to dinner tonight and really focusing on a successful weekend.

Hi, I’m Kathy.

18th round! Rebooting my lifestyle after several false starts. I need accountability to make sure it gets done.
Return to MFP SW (Dec 2021): 267
HSW: 267
RSW: 229.0
UGW for now: 195, then reevaluate
Goal for this round: less than I started with
2022 goals: move more (okay, move some), eat mindfully
Day/Weight/Comment
7/6 229.0 A bit out of control this weekend. I broke my cardinal rule and didn’t log everything I ate and drank for three days. Especially drank. Lots of get-togethers with friends that took me out of my comfort zone. Now to get back on track, effective immediately.
7/7 227.8 Glad to see the scale start moving back down. Had a good day yesterday and hoping for a great day today even though I’m not feeling so hot physically. Meals are planned and logged; lots of leftovers from the weekend but we’ll eat them in a sensible way.
7/8 226.2 Good news – I’ve now dropped all the bloat I picked up over the holiday weekend. Bad news – I’ve also just tested positive for COVID. Going to keep drinking water and eating sensibly when I feel like eating.
7/9 224.4 This must be from not eating much yesterday, so I’m sure I’ll bounce around. Did my best to drink plenty of water though. Feeling slightly better today which is good because now my husband has it.
