My goal this month is to maintain weight as well as increase activity. I will be moving at some point this month so I will be doing a lot of packing. Have been waiting for a definite start date on a new job, but they are still going through the process of doing background checks and such. I currently work for the State and have been accepted for another position with the State. Unfortunately, they won't just open my personnel file and retrieve the information they already have, they are doing it all over again from scratch. It has been over a month since they began. It's very frustrating. Anyway, somehow I am hoping to find time to increase workouts/walks while packing and preparing for a wedding.

08/19-201.6-(Trend Weight 200.0)- Counters are being delivered today so FINALLY (maybe} we can get the work finished on the kitchen in the (very) near future. While waiting, my handymen managed to finish the egress window in my son’s room. All the trims inside and out were actually finished yesterday. It adds a lot of light and fresh air, but more importantly safety. I’ve ordered a new grate and lid for it. Yesterday’s diet was wonderful, until about 11:00 pm. Then I added about 325 extra calories because I was so hungry. But it was “good food”, not junk. Low-carb bread with chunk chicken breast with mayo mixed in and walnuts thrown in to make a yummy low carb sandwich. The scale still dropped. I am going to try to plan my meals more carefully today and figure out the spacing.
08/20-201.8-(Trend Weight 200.2)- Trend weight has been climbing and I am not happy about that. Tomorrow is my DGD’s 2nd birthday party which is out-of-town. I will have to be extra diligent today.

I have been on MFP since October 2018.
I am close to 10 pounds heavier than this time last year.
Hoping to drop weight this month, but have extended company coming, an old friend who is a chef and cooks amazing meals. So much for my grilled chicken with veggies or salad. I will do my best.
I gained 0.6 last month
Monday August 01 - 139.2 - Using last month's EW. A holiday in my Province today, but not a food holiday. I am working.
Tuesday August 02 - 138.6 - Hoping to continue to see drops before my company arrives on Saturday so that I have a "cushion". Feeling pretty lean this morning.
Wednesday August 03 - 139.0 - I had planned a cleanse for later in August, but Wild Rose has been discontinued. It is a bunch of herbs and a food plan. I do know the food columns of what to have 80% of each day etc. The herbs are organ specific. I will be looking into what else is available. Does anyone have a good kit that they use?
Thursday August 04 - 138.8 - Going to keep it very light for the next couple of days before my company arrives. He is a chef and I expect to be eating more (and richer) food than usual starting Saturday for 8 days
Friday August 05 - 139.9 - Quite surprised at this jump up, I had a very good day exercise and food wise. Going to try to take it in stride, actually feeling lean this morning.
Saturday August 06 - 138.1 - That was the last of being "good" for the next 8 days. I am going to try not to be rude and sit at the kitchen table at my laptop reading and writing into these forums while I have company (in a couple more hours from now). I will be logging and weighing, just not sure if I will make it on here or not.

Saturday August 13 - 139.8 - Wow, usually my weight fluctuates like crazy, but staying at the same number is cool, especially after eating so very well all week with my Chef friend here whipping up all sorts of rich foods accompanied by wine.
Sunday August 14 - 141.3 - Well, it caught up with me. Lots of good leftovers over the next few days, I will try to keep the quantities low. - I see that I had my dates mixed up. Fixed them
Monday August 15 - 140.1 - I still have some really good food left, but will keep the portions smaller, and no wine or cocktails.
Tuesday August 16 - 139.4 - Still working on leftovers, tonight should be the last. I am going to have pesto that was made out of things in my garden with some Konjac pasta (10 calories for the whole pack), a bit of chicken mixed in and a salad. It would be nice to see that 136.2 from Aug 07th again soon.
Wednesday August 17 - 139.1 - It seems to be coming down. I am working at it.
Thursday August 18 - 137.7 - That was very nice to see this morning.
Friday August 19 - 137.8 - Felt quite lean this morning. Working a split shift today and expect to eat more calories than I have been this entire week.
Saturday August 20 - 138.8 - Up a pound. I worked late, so ate late. Burned a whole lot of calories running around work.

Hello again, everyone!!
My name is Ana.
I've struggled most of my life with almost always feeling very fat. There are pictures of me that prove me right, but there are others that prove me wrong.
2009 was the year in which I felt better about my physical appearance but in 2011, after my husband passed away I reached my highest weight (180 lbs). By 2018 I had worked my way to 140lbs and maintained it for 2 years. I was feeling very good even though I still had to battle with negative thoughts and avoided looking at myself in the mirror. Last year I learned that the pandemic and depression related to my father's death brought me back up to 156.4 lbs.
I gave myself a year to work on my health and even though I am not where I hoped to be, I am satisfied with my efforts. For the next year I will work on maintaining a fitness schedule and on relating to food in different ways... I want to eat to live instead of live for eating. I am a little scared because the first weeks of maintenance I did OK, but the last 2 weeks of July were a huge gain. On the other hand, my clothes still fit.

08/01: 137.2 (+6. 2) A huge gain last month. Still recovering from vacation gain. Determined to get back to a cleaner way of eating and to exercising more frequently and focusing on building muscle just because it burns more calories, which means I can eat more 😂
08/06: 137.0 (-0.2) That's just funny and disappointing but I know it's all my fault. This week I had restaurant food 3 times so there's a lot of salt in my system. Even though I ate within my allowance 2 times, yesterday I also succumbed to tortellini around 10pm. Not good at all. I can see it lodged in my belly.
I'm trying to get back to working out so I started a Chloe Ting 28 day challenge and today will be day 6. Also, my vacation days are over so I am looking forward to healthier eating and crazily enough, to meal planning. I see brighter, closer to130lb days ahead 🙆♀️
08/13: 135.8 (-1.2) Much better. I know it can be even better, but I'm still struggling with late night snacking. Also, my birthday was last week and let's just say I had a good taste of four desserts 👉👈
I've been exercising 5 times a week and even though the type of exercise I'm doing doesn't particularly burn a lot of calories, it seems to help with digestion.
On the brighter side, I went shopping for pants yesterday (finally!) and I was pleased to see that everything I picked fit either perfectly or too big. I've never had that happen to me before, what an experience! I am super excited that fall is coming. I want to go back to walking to work every day. If only it would stop raining so randomly...
08/20: 132.1 (-3.7) Pretty happy to see the vacation weight is coming off!! I wasn't the healthiest this week since it was my daughter's last week home from college, but I tried to keep it within allowed calories and exercised often. It also helps that my intestines cooperated today lol. Looking forward to next week when I'll feel free to make healthier choices. It is also the last week for the Chloe Ting Challenge I started so I'm happy about that too. In the meantime, pizza tonight for dinner, but I'll try to be good!!

August 01: 169.4 Stuck at this exact number for like 5 days, I'm patient, eventually it will drop and reflect the work I am putting in. Going to resume running today for the 1st time in almost 1 month (wasn't able to run most of July due to Covid/Covid recovery), will be interesting to see where my running fitness is.
August 02: 169.2 Successful day yesterday! Went on a short run, felt good, but will need to slowly build back up my mileage to where it was + did a full body endurance workout with weights.
August 03: 168.9 Yesterday was a Yogalates workout + a walk. Dinner was a bit heavier (calories still within my range), so pleased to see a loss today on the scale!

August 14: 171.0 Not too bad (I'd hoped to stay under a 3 lb. gain, so sucess!) My goal is to be back in the 169s before next Sunday. Went for a long walk yesterday, today is technically a rest day but will be very active getting things done around the house/yard.
August 15: 170.1 Vacation weight is coming off! Delicious meal at home last night with herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini from our garden mixed with some red lentil pasta.
August 16: 169.4 Yay, back to my round start weight! Yesterday went for a walk and did a Pilates workout. My running and more strenuous workouts are on hold for the moment due to some inflammation in my knee, it's always something:) Need to meal plan and grocery shop today, husband is making salsa as we are in tomato overload from the garden.
August 17: 169.0 Didn't get my lunch time walk + weights workout in on my lunch hour yesterday because was tied up on work calls and then was off to run errands for 3 hours after work. At least I got some steps in doing that! Grabbed Chick Fil A on the way home but just got nuggets and made my own chicken Ceasar salad when I got home for dinner.
August 18: 168.4 Pretty happy with the number on the scale this morning! The temps are much cooler this week, so felt like cooking yesterday, took advantage of some of the tomatoes & herbs from the garden and made a pomodoro sauce for a baked gnocchi dish. I ate the serving that fit into my calorie allotment but truthfully, I wanted to eat the entire pan! I didn't, so that's a win!!
August 19: 168.9 No reason for this, just normal body fluctuations. But I do feel bloated today (which is not usual) so maybe that's it. Excited it's the weekend, I'm throwing a party on Sunday for my daughter, so much to do!
August 20: 168.1 In major party prep mode, should get lots of steps today but also need to make sure I make the time to get my workout in. Not making myself a priority is how I gained this weight to begin with. Have a great one, everyone!

8/21: 127.8 (129.4 trend) shocked to see this number but shouldn't be. Only ate one meal yesterday. It was Mexican but with all the mouth apparatus's that I have right now, I can't eat the chips so that saves me a boat load of calories! Body is sore from moving boxes onto and off of the moving truck, so I'm sure I burned many more calories than I ate. So glad this part is over. Now to unpack and organize, start new job in two days and marry in two weeks. Going to be a crazy time!5 -

Yes, tortilla chips are like 100 calories for only 5 of them.
I have begun to make my nachos with corn tortillas, 2 or 3 of them at 50 calories each. Otherwise it takes 16 chips to make up the base.

Glad that the move happened so that you can start nesting.
A new job will be a learning curve.

08/21-200.0-(Trend Weight 200.2)- Teetering on Onederland. Well, if you guys haven’t already heard enough about my problems, here goes a big one. Handymen were messing around in the electrical box in the basement while trying to hook up new drop in stove. The ignitor is electric tho the stove is gas. Now over half of my house doesn’t work. All the main floor is down except the bathrooms which each have one plug. Well pump stopped working too, so no water again. My part-time neighbor was next door and my handymen said we could feed my house with low level pressure water through garden hoses off our spickets to bring running water to faucets and toilets in my house (called backwashing) and neighbor said okay. So I can flush but not shower unless I want it cold. I ran an extension cord to the bathroom for my breathing machine last night. There is a plug upstairs that seems to be okay so son slept up there last night and DD & DGS stayed at boyfriend’s. Today is Sunday, I’m in the middle of nowhere with no real skilled tradesmen in the area and this old house has decided it’s not waiting any longer on the electrical upgrades. It’s spooky. The microwave is beeping on and off. The phone base. Not enough power to run the TV. Computer comes on if I unplug the fridge in the other room but I have to baby it. I am hearing the electrical surges run through the computer speakers. Oh, and the birthday party of my DGD is out-of-town today (not to mention the wedding in less than 2 weeks). Now I am going to go in the bathroom where I made coffee and hope it generated enough heat to get the coffee hot. No wonder my heart is giving out! Sorry to unload like this (yet again), but please ya’ll, count your blessings, pray for me and help me count mine!

I am close to 10 pounds heavier than this time last year.
Hoping to drop weight this month, but have extended company coming, an old friend who is a chef and cooks amazing meals. So much for my grilled chicken with veggies or salad. I will do my best.

Monday August 01 - 139.2 - Using last month's EW. A holiday in my Province today, but not a food holiday. I am working.
Tuesday August 02 - 138.6 - Hoping to continue to see drops before my company arrives on Saturday so that I have a "cushion". Feeling pretty lean this morning.
Wednesday August 03 - 139.0 - I had planned a cleanse for later in August, but Wild Rose has been discontinued. It is a bunch of herbs and a food plan. I do know the food columns of what to have 80% of each day etc. The herbs are organ specific. I will be looking into what else is available. Does anyone have a good kit that they use?
Thursday August 04 - 138.8 - Going to keep it very light for the next couple of days before my company arrives. He is a chef and I expect to be eating more (and richer) food than usual starting Saturday for 8 days
Friday August 05 - 139.9 - Quite surprised at this jump up, I had a very good day exercise and food wise. Going to try to take it in stride, actually feeling lean this morning.
Saturday August 06 - 138.1 - That was the last of being "good" for the next 8 days. I am going to try not to be rude and sit at the kitchen table at my laptop reading and writing into these forums while I have company (in a couple more hours from now). I will be logging and weighing, just not sure if I will make it on here or not.

Sunday August 14 - 141.3 - Well, it caught up with me. Lots of good leftovers over the next few days, I will try to keep the quantities low. - I see that I had my dates mixed up. Fixed them
Monday August 15 - 140.1 - I still have some really good food left, but will keep the portions smaller, and no wine or cocktails.
Tuesday August 16 - 139.4 - Still working on leftovers, tonight should be the last. I am going to have pesto that was made out of things in my garden with some Konjac pasta (10 calories for the whole pack), a bit of chicken mixed in and a salad. It would be nice to see that 136.2 from Aug 07th again soon.
Wednesday August 17 - 139.1 - It seems to be coming down. I am working at it.
Thursday August 18 - 137.7 - That was very nice to see this morning.
Friday August 19 - 137.8 - Felt quite lean this morning. Working a split shift today and expect to eat more calories than I have been this entire week.
Saturday August 20 - 138.8 - Up a pound. I worked late, so ate late. Burned a whole lot of calories running around work.
Sunday August 21 - 138.7 - Had hoped for a bigger drop than that, but it is what it is: Very easy and quick to put it on, but very hard and slow to take it off
Monday August 22 - 139.1 - MFP again saying that I should be 119 by eating like I do. Just 20 pounds off of the 2 year predictions. Quite surprised to see a gain today, maybe I overheated and body is holding on to water

August 01: 169.4 Stuck at this exact number for like 5 days, I'm patient, eventually it will drop and reflect the work I am putting in. Going to resume running today for the 1st time in almost 1 month (wasn't able to run most of July due to Covid/Covid recovery), will be interesting to see where my running fitness is.
August 02: 169.2 Successful day yesterday! Went on a short run, felt good, but will need to slowly build back up my mileage to where it was + did a full body endurance workout with weights.
August 03: 168.9 Yesterday was a Yogalates workout + a walk. Dinner was a bit heavier (calories still within my range), so pleased to see a loss today on the scale!

August 14: 171.0 Not too bad (I'd hoped to stay under a 3 lb. gain, so sucess!) My goal is to be back in the 169s before next Sunday. Went for a long walk yesterday, today is technically a rest day but will be very active getting things done around the house/yard.
August 15: 170.1 Vacation weight is coming off! Delicious meal at home last night with herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini from our garden mixed with some red lentil pasta.
August 16: 169.4 Yay, back to my round start weight! Yesterday went for a walk and did a Pilates workout. My running and more strenuous workouts are on hold for the moment due to some inflammation in my knee, it's always something:) Need to meal plan and grocery shop today, husband is making salsa as we are in tomato overload from the garden.
August 17: 169.0 Didn't get my lunch time walk + weights workout in on my lunch hour yesterday because was tied up on work calls and then was off to run errands for 3 hours after work. At least I got some steps in doing that! Grabbed Chick Fil A on the way home but just got nuggets and made my own chicken Ceasar salad when I got home for dinner.
August 18: 168.4 Pretty happy with the number on the scale this morning! The temps are much cooler this week, so felt like cooking yesterday, took advantage of some of the tomatoes & herbs from the garden and made a pomodoro sauce for a baked gnocchi dish. I ate the serving that fit into my calorie allotment but truthfully, I wanted to eat the entire pan! I didn't, so that's a win!!
August 19: 168.9 No reason for this, just normal body fluctuations. But I do feel bloated today (which is not usual) so maybe that's it. Excited it's the weekend, I'm throwing a party on Sunday for my daughter, so much to do!
August 20: 168.1 In major party prep mode, should get lots of steps today but also need to make sure I make the time to get my workout in. Not making myself a priority is how I gained this weight to begin with. Have a great one, everyone!

08/22-200.0-(Trend Weight 200.2)- Well, I missed my DGD’s birthday. The electricians showed up quickly and worked until 11:45 pm at night to get the problem solved which was a whole new electrical box with an upgraded service. Something I was going to do anyway, so why not tie it all up neatly with a bow at once? Grateful for electricity and grateful for water today. My weight, my trend weight and my fat % is exactly the same as yesterday and I was surprised to see that because it was a model day. However, I realized that I did not take the heart-healthy water pill (because of the birthday party) so I probably have fluid built up. Also, I was stuck in the house all day with electricians and stuck sitting in the dark for several hours last night so exercise of any kind was out the window. Slept well though when they finally left. I was exhausted! I’m ready to lose some weight my friends!

Have been waiting for a definite start date on a new job, but they are still going through the process of doing background checks and such. I currently work for the State and have been accepted for another position with the State. Unfortunately, they won't just open my personnel file and retrieve the information they already have, they are doing it all over again from scratch. It has been over a month since they began. It's very frustrating. Anyway, somehow I am hoping to find time to increase workouts/walks while packing and preparing for a wedding.

It was Mexican but with all the mouth apparatus's that I have right now, I can't eat the chips so that saves me a boat load of calories! Now to unpack and organize, start new job in two days and marry in two weeks. Going to be a crazy time!

Broke her heart and mine that she is sick and that she will be missing her whole first week of school. I fell back onto my coping habit of overeating to deal with my feelings. I am ashamed that I am not stronger when it comes to this issue.
