    Aug 1 - 172.2 (Back from vacation and feeling good. August is going to be a great month!)
    Aug 2 - 169.6 (Busy first day back to work but stayed positive. Ate well and focused on my step goal.)
    Aug 3 - 167.6 (Dentist after work and then I'll hopefully find time for a Peloton ride or another walk, or both!)
    Aug 4 - 166.2 (Have stress at work. Afterwards I will decompress with some kind of exercise. Last night I chose to do upper body strength as my exercise of choice and it felt great.)
    Aug 5 - 165.8 (Found time to ride the Peloton last night and it felt good. Off to the lake for the weekend as soon as work is done.)
    Aug 6 - 164.6 (Nice sunny day here today. I am going to aim for 10,000 steps which will require 1-2 longer walks around our lakeside trailer park. We have a bigger dinner tonight my husband is making for our trailer friends.)
    Aug 7 - 165.8 (Yesterday I underperformed on my fitness and food plans so the return to the higher weight is completely expected. Tonight we return from the lake and have supper with friends before heading home.)
    Aug 8 - 167 (Yesterday we came back from the lake, walked to and from a friend's house for a pizza supper, and then I did some yoga and strength. A good day.)
    Aug 9 - 166.2
    Aug 10 - 167.6 (Having some tough days at work and feeling the stress. Had a good day of food and exercise today. One day at a time!)
    Aug 11 - 167.4 (Good day so far, haircut after work, had a nice lunchtime walk with my husband. Focusing on what's within my control.)
    Aug 12 - 166.8 (Had a lot of exercise today. Gold day overall. I am excited to get to the lake tonight after work. Weather is looking to be quite hot.)
    Aug 13 - 164 (Had an unexpected late night due to some concerns with my dog.. she's fine but I definitely slept in this morning. My husband is going for a long bike ride as he's training for a Gran Fondo so the dog and I will be hanging at our trailer. Will try to get her out for a few short walks before it gets too hot.)
    Aug 14 - 163.8 (Feels good to see my second day in a row in my maintenance range since I got back from holidays. I planned my food well yesterday and got my 10K steps. My husband leaves from the lake to head north for a business trip this evening so my Mom is coming out for a BBQ and visit and then I'll go back home with her.)
    Aug 15 - 165.2 (My husband is away on business so it feels quiet. I plan to walk my dog before work today as it'll be a hot day. Will get my activity off on the right foot!)
    Aug 16 - 164.4 (Rode the Peloton last night and did some healthy cooking. Pre-prepped a breakfast
    smoothie that was a tasty start to my day. Lots of fibre today!)
    Aug 17 - 164.6 (Beautiful sunny day here. Work is busy, one foot in front of the other. Got pulled into an unexpected work meeting and missed my lunch time walk. Tonight I have to get a cavity filled at the dentist and then I'll be able to go out for my walk.)
    Aug 18 - 166.8 (Busy day at work as I'm off tomorrow and have lots of meetings. Also have a doctor's appointment at lunch so I'll be walking there and back. Step count should be decent when I get home but I still expect my dog will need a walk unless my husband finds a window to get her out before I get home.)
    Aug 19 - 167.8 (Today was truly special. I had the day off and my hot air balloon ride that my husband gifted me on our wedding day finally went ahead. We then went to the mountains and biked 70 KM or so... just had so much fun.)

    Aug 21 - 167.8 (Fun day at the lake with a short dog walk and then we returned home and went out to dinner with a friend. Feeling busy for sure.)
    Aug 22 - 164.8 (Today was off to a good start and I got a walk in with my dog at lunch but we had an event at work near the end of the day and I ended up putting in a couple extra hours. I have been so busy lately and it's definitely my exercise that's being sacrificed. I don't have any choice as something has to give. Doesn't change my maintenance strategy as I eat my exercise calories so it just means they get pared back accordingly.)
    Aug 23 - 164 (Slowly seeing my trend weight come back down. I had two meals out today so I had to be smart about my choices. Work is still busy but I got my 10K steps in. Woot!)
    Aug 24 - 163.6 (Love these sections where the weight is slowly dropping down. I have been back in my maintenance range for three days now. I am going on holiday again in just over a week so I'm focused on losing as much as I can before then.)
    Aug 25 - 162.6 (Had a big day - an important meeting at work, dim sum for lunch, made supper, lots of walking, a Peloton ride.)

    Aug 27 - 163.4 (Happy day today. At the lake visiting with my husband and our neighbors. I pressured washed our whole trailer and it feels great. The day is gloomy, but my mood is sunny!)
    Aug 28 - 163.4 (Have a short and super busy week coming up at work this week and I woke up pre-stressing about it. They don't own my Sunday!! Going to find ways to decompress today.)
    Aug 29 - 164 (As suspected, work was tough. I got to work off some stress on the Peloton after work though.)
    Aug 30 - 164.6 (Stayed downtown after work today to have drinks with friends. Walked my dog when I got home. Time for bed!)
    Aug 31 - 163.8 (A great getting back to maintenance month after my great vacation at the end of July. Trust the process!)

    8/3: 184.5 lbs ⬇️ Wednesday is my usual weigh-in. Nothing to add. A bit overwhelmed by pending appointments this month. Then travel by air with my 83 dad with Parkinsons. Fretting already. I know that is not helpful healthwise. But take a deep breath and move one foot forward.

    8/9: 188 lbs ⬆️⬆️⬆️
    8/10: 185 lbs ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Wednesday regular weigh-in. This week I finally sorted through some of my mom's pictures. Being more active using the treadmill. Still overeating at dinner. Lots a things to work on.

    8/17: 185 lbs Well back to my August start weight. Finally put to rest an item not so pleasant that happened in March 2021. I didn't think about it every day but it was always in the back of my mind. Roof being reshingled and another item checked off. Nothing to do about calorie intake but deals with my emotions that is a catalyst.
    8/24: 184.5 lbs. Small dip into the right right direction. Been off the radar because I am scared 😱 😨 to step on the scale. My daily accountability has been lacking.
    8/25: 184.5 lbs Made sure I stepped on the scale.
    8/27: 185lbs
    8/31: 186 lbs⬆️ Not the way to end a month

    Mary 65 from Pennsylvania. Goal weight 122 lbs. Was there in 2009/10 and kept it off for about 5 years and got lazy. I do low Carb 15+/- 3 Net Carbs/day(My body seems to hang on to Carbs/not burn them),1000-1200 calories daily, 2 meals on my days off(3) and 3 meals on my work days (4, long hours) and I only exercise on my days off due to the long work days.
    Heaviest weight: 255 lbs, twice :-(

    9/14/20-255 lbs. Started a new job without a micromanager.
    5/3/21-240.5 lbs Emergency Gallbladder surgery
    5/14/21-232.2 lbs. Started MFP, low carb and calorie restricted diet while recovering. Actively trying to lose now.

    8/1/22-167.2 lbs :-( Elliptical 214 minutes for 14.22 miles
    8/2/22-168.6 lbs :-( The extra carbs and sodium show. Elliptical 233 minutes for 16.47 miles.
    8/3/22-171.8 lbs :-( Still climbing from the extra carbs and sodium while I was off. Was in the BR almost ever half hour today peeing at work. Hopefully the scale will start back down.
    8/4/22-168.4 lbs :-) Heading the right way.
    8/5/22-166.8 lbs - Off today did 159 minutes on my Elliptical but then it just stopped, couldn't move it. I'm hoping it just needs some oil. 2 of my sons worked on it. Cleaned and oiled it. Ok right now, hope that was it.

    8/7/22-167.2 lbs Off today. Did 180 minutes on the Elliptical. Screeched some after 2 hours and then hard to move then eased up for awhile then got stiff again and I stopped. I'm hoping the bearings aren't bad. Found a listing for a place that fixes exercise equipment. Have to call from work and maybe they can come look at it Friday on my day off. Have a family party Saturday and work picnic Sunday. I have put over 2000+ miles on it since 1/3/22. I'm the only one that uses it. I bought it in 2010 for $600-800. The ones comparable to it now are like $1200-1600.

Got to get back on track or I'll need to go back into my large scrubs, instead of the smalls I've been in since February! Late 10 AM work start today, so had time to update this AM.

    8/16/22-176.2 lbs- Elliptical repair man said it would cost $400 to replace the magnetic flywheel, so not worth it. Lubed it up and said I can use it till it goes totally just have to put up with occasional screeching. So shopping for a new one.

    8/27/22-178.6 lbs I have been off track this summer, enjoying too many carbs. Hopefully I get back on track this fall with less temptations. Even when I stay under my calorie allotment, my body gains with higher carbs, even though I'm under what is considered low carb. My body just doesn't want to burn them and stores them.
