Hello I’m new and I am into powerlifting. I’m looking for friends for tips and motivation. I am currently new to a low calorie diet and need any help I can get.

It's not the most active area, but you'll be most likely to find serious lifters in this part of the Community:

Despite the title, it includes people who are trying to lose some weight (either as part of bulk/cut or regular weight reduction) and maintaining, not just people trying to gain weight.

Take a look around, dive into some threads - it's a help.
As far as how to lose weight, there's a wealth of experience-based information here in the Community: Quite a few people hang around after weight loss to maintain the loss, and also help others who're starting out. I think this thread is the single most helpful on-ramp to using MFP:

Those contain posts by regular MFP users that other MFP users found so helpful that they nominated them to stick around permanently for reference, rather than rolling off into high-number pages and mists of history. (Sometimes people call them "the stickies".)
I'm kind of a sub-par MFP friend, not very motivating, don't even really seriously lift let alone powerlift. However, if you hang around in the Community, read threads, post yourself, you can learn a lot and find the right connections to help you, I'm sure.
