Feeling sad :(

I haven’t eaten a lot today and I’m upset because i know that means I’ll lose weight when my goal is to gain. I missed lunch and I know dinner won’t be enough, so I’m just sad right now. 😢

    You're not likely to lose any weight in one day. Unless you literally didn't eat anything at all. You'll be fine. Just pick yourself back up in the morning and make sure you plan how you're going to get your calories in this time.

    If you have a history of ED, do you have a plan in place to help remember to eat thru the day?

    One day is a drop in the ocean. What matters is averages over time.

    Gaining or losing, most all of us have a day sometimes when we miss our goal. It's fine. Sadness and upsetness don't add body weight, and they feel yucky. Redirect that energy into problem-solving for the future.

    Work on the overall pattern, figure out why the off day happened, make a change in your planned routines to avoid the same thing happening again in similar circumstances, then just keep going with your improved plan. Keep working at it that way, and over time the off days will be less and less frequent.

    You can do this. Take the reins and drive toward aligning your routine habits with your goals: That's empowerment.
