New to the group

Hello everyone! I am new to myfitnesspal. I am using the tools to track food and exercise. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I know from past experience that if I don't track what I do things get away from me. I used the WW program on and off for many years. It took a long time to stop looking at food and seeing points. I had no concept of nutritional value, just points. I am currently trying the Keto diet and working with a fitness coach for guidance. I am really excited to take back control of my health. Jo Anna

@joanna_leaderbrand Welcome to MFP 🥳🥳 I find tracking makes all the difference as well. I'm about a month into trying keto and found it was what I needed to give my metabolism a kick after months of a plateau. Pure calorie restriction seems to put my body into starvation mode and I just don't lose lbs but keto has been the shock to the system needed! And all my favs, bacon and cheese, are allowed!!

Best of luck with your keto journey! It's also well worth noting your non-scale changes with keto like energy levels throughout the day, hormonal balancing etc

Hi I’m very new to the whole keto diet. I don’t quite know how to use the MFP app for it. Hoping I can get some help. I have already done the fasting but I did it for about a week and have already lost 7.2 pounds. Yaay but this whole keto thing is confusing. I hope you reach your goals. Keep it up y’all.
