It's very important that I am here. For Round 233 my head needs to get back to the right place. Old bad habits returned for round 232 and we know where that can lead. See you tomorrow morning when I hopefully report that today included healthy actions.4

This is my first time trying this. I'm brand new here and ready to see how this goes. Due to some pretty major health issues over the last couple of years I find myself at my absolute heaviest. Now that I'm starting to get better I need to try to slowly lose the weight to help improve my health more. I'm a single mother of 3 beautiful girls and I work full-time. Finding the time and energy to exercise is something that I struggle with. I find it very nerve wracking to put my weight on here where anyone can see it, but I'm hoping that I will be able to find support and motivation with all of you.

65 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 233 (my 163rd). Thank you @quiltingjaine for the new round, so grateful.
Goal this round again is to get back under and stay under 138, I really don’t want to keep hovering around 140 pounds. Holiday is now in 21 days,3 weeks! I still need to crack on & lose a few more pounds, starting to get back into some holiday clothes, but can't let up: time is running out! So, 21 days, 2 rounds at a pound per week should get me better than I am, I’ve done it before so I can do it again if I knuckle down!! Really try to stay on track & do another complete round without binging. After all I am what I eat in more ways than one, my whole demeanour is totally different when I am happy with myself!!Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

8/19 140.6 – knew that was going to be up after last night’s Indian, it was delicious, but who knows how many calories or sodium!! I avoided a starter and a sweet, to be honest the main course was more than sufficient to satisfy me!! 8.63 miles walked. So that’s an increase of 1.4 pounds this round, will work hard to lose this and more next round.

8/20. One day soon-there will be a WHOOSH! (Like a 2 to 3 pound drop off!) There must be! Physically and mentally, I feel strong this morning starting a new round…. !
Yesterday: I hit all my goals, except for total steps. The humidity/heat really did it to me playing tennis so I took it easy the rest of the day…! Was truly wiped out… (Only logged 6k steps).
Last night we went out for a quick dinner at one of our favorite little Italian restaurants… I had a pasta dish that included jumbo shrimp and scallops. They REMOVED the PASTA for me and added sautéed spinach! DIVINE! Remember… You can still go out to eat and stay on the plan!
The photo represents my roller coaster on MFP since 2010. … what a RIDE! The big drop off was in 2014 when I dropped 30 pounds… then the🎢! Let’s go for ↔️ I want to rest in the 130 range… I used to let myself go up and down 5 -10 pounds, and then it got out of hand — that up and down will be no more than three! Five times I got down to 128… All for FUTURE special occasions … Well, the special occasion needs to be ME ME and ME!!!! The permanent occasion! The red circle represents my new home! I’ll be moving there soon!!!!

8/20 - 153.4 - I'm up a tad but I'm sure that's sodium. Instead of dinner, I ate chips and guac as a "dinner" snack. Lunch was late, but I was hungry while nobody else was so no "real" food for dinner. Today is a quiet day of working on the house. We got the loan approved to remodel our barely-functioning master bathroom, yippee! Bought the replacement power outlets and light switches for the entire house (a previous project) and looked at flooring/tile while there for the bathroom. Colors (paint, vanity, etc) will all be based on what we can get tile/flooring that is tasteful, to our liking, and within budget. We have a really good idea now so just planning a look at some other places first to see if there's anything we like more within budget elsewhere. The boys have an appointment this afternoon and while they're gone, I'll knock out grocery shopping. I've got every dinner except Friday figured out for this week and I'm about to figure out my lunches (meal prep) so I can finalize my grocery list. Also need to plan out my workouts. I have labs very early Tuesday and a doc appointment early Friday so I'll have to plan around those. I'll be happy to get back to routine.

I’m making a second post for my rant. My DH volunteered for the community budget and finance committee almost a year ago. It’s the job he did for his REAL job for about 18 years but every suggestion he makes is dismissed by our current community BOD because they want to spend spend spend. He is frustrated and his frustration is frustrating me. He’s considering running for BOD this fall again. Last fall he lost by 10 votes. This year a neighbor has appointed himself campaign manager and is preparing to push a more fiscally responsible “group.” The current people have improperly moved $$ from one area of the “budget” to others to satisfy their whims. The $500K they had in excess 2 years ago has been frittered away rather than refunded to homeowners and then they raised monthly fees for this year and next plus a planned increase in 2025. They have hired a second “cleaning person” to pick up the slack since the other one likes to talk toe everyone and spends a lot of time on his phone or wandering around the neighborhood just “checking things out.”7

My Daily Notes ✶233✶✶ 8/20 ✶ I’m thrilled to have found this challenge. This is not my first ‘rodeo’ so to speak, but to be quite honest the older I get the less motivated I get to try again. I know HOW to lose weight but I just haven’t figured up how to KEEP IT OFF. I’ll lose upwards of 20, 30 and even 50+ lbs with any gven attempt but then, all of a sudden, and for no apparent reason, I find myself going back to my old eating habits and sedentery lifestyle. Before I know it i’m right back to square one again. It’s depressing to stand on that scale after an extended hiatus only to see all of your hard work and accomplishments have reverted back to zero or worse yet, your even heavier than before. I am finding it especially hard this time to get myself motivated as my mind is not in a good place. I’ve starting thinking that perhaps I am doomed to be ‘morbidely obese’ (it’s in my DNA or something) and I should just give up the good fight...BUT I am quickly reminded of the general aches and pains, and that overall bloatness that I experience each day as a result of being almost 300 lbs and how much better I feel, both physically, and emotionally, when I have lost weight in the past. Reminding myself of that ‘feeling’ is really the only thing keeping me afloat these days.
I’m hanging on for dear life. I need to myself out of this rut…
