I get slow but sure but dang...Perimenopause is horrible. I'm eating well and working out regularly. Feel like I'm spinning my wheels some days but, oh well, moving forward.
If this is slow I'll take it anytime!! 5 lbs is great....keep going! I'm yoyoing....up and down, up, up and a wee bit down.

October Goals/ PROGRESS
1. Lose 1-2 lbs per wk/ MET π€©
2. Water-Drink 64oz daily/ MET SOME DAYS π. Bought new water bottles to help.
3. Steps- 7000 daily/ MET ONLY A FEW DAYS π
I havenβt quite bounced back from Covid in September, energy level still low. Treating myself to new
waterproof goretex Brooks walking shoes, so I will have no excuse for not walking here in rainy Seattle βοΈ
4. Protein- Get 90-100g daily/ MET SOME DAYS π. A work in progress. Sugar free beef jerky is a new snack (but high in sodiumβ¦)
5. Avoid Halloween Candy/ MET ALL DAYS -so far. π₯³ This is nearly impossible at work- coworkers keep full candy dishes on their desks. Thankfully Iβm only part-time!
β’β’Note on Oct weight loss: Iβm on Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes which helps tremendously. I am eating my full MFP calories ( calculated at βnot very activeβ) and I donβt eat back my exercise calories. I have recently changed my goal from 2lbs week to 1lb per week, for slower/healthier loss rate.7 -

They just arrived today, Brooks Ghost 14 GTX. There is a newer model, Ghost 15 GTX, I understand they are very similar. The GTX stands for Goretex, waterproof but breathable. Love them so far, super comfortable! Now I just need a new raincoat-my plus size 3X is getting baggy! βοΈβοΈβοΈ

One if the very many reasons being retired is awesome is that I no longer can be tempted by unhealthy foods left in the workplace by well-meaning people. My office was located such that I had to walk past that kitchen area where all the food got left. Dandy candy this time of year, but also doughnuts any time, muffins, chips and dip... you name it. The sweet stuff usually wasn't tempting to me, but the potato chips always called my name very softly every time I'd walk by. I hated that.9 -

Total loss for October: A second week in a row with no gain, and even better - just a tiny bit closer to being back in maintenance. I'm happy, yet I'm not at the same time as I'm trying to do very small weekly weight loss as a nursing mother. I've lost a dash of supply over the month. I've accounted for nursing calories. I don't know what's going on.
