Aww, thanks a lot. So happy to hear I'm not the only one loving this weather.

    20.50/85.00 mile goal

I'm feeling better today, but my tummy is still not back to normal. I also didn't sleep the best again, mostly because of the wind and Tippy needing to be reassured that the twigs hurdling into the house was okay. I took it easy again today, but did manage to get in a short run - second one of the year. I did a run/walk of 3/2 min at 4.2-4.7/4.0 mph, so slower than I would have liked, but at least I did it. Avg HR was 126 with a max of 146 bpm. It was harder than it should have been, but I'm sure because of not sleeping, eating, or drinking as I should for almost a week.

Hope you feel better soon @quilteryoyo !

Cold here! Brrrr… I went on a 12.1km run this morning. It was beautiful but oh so painfully cold! I’m like @scott6255 ;)- I was actually missing the treadmill this morning. I saw a hawk and lots of mist coming up off the river.

Then, when I was just 250 meters from finishing, I tripped over a piece of frozen dirt and fell down hard onto the asphalt, cutting open my palm and knocking the heck out of my knees. First thing I did before assessing the damage? Stop the time on my Garmin of course ;). The good news is I fell straight down and didn’t twist anything, AND, my favourite (and only) really warm pants weren’t ripped.

    So far for December 53.7/200km.

@martaindale I also love the taper and find it to be a reward before the final showdown ;).

How cold was is? The weather is still cold, dry and fairly non-windy here. Did three runs in a row and feel like going out again tonight for a short run just to make use of it before it gets warmer and windier again. I just love this central European winter weather.

Ha!, I'm sorry you are banged up, but great job focusing on the positive. Good warm pants aren't easy to find.

Thanks @Scott6255 . I agree that a week is enough. I still didn't sleep good last night, so just feeling pretty exhausted at this point. I keep trying and hope tonight will be better. You are not a weenie.....well, if you are, so am I.

@martaindale I'm glad you are enjoying taper week. It sounds like you have a great plan for race day and the weather is going to be good for you. It will get cold when you are sweaty after the race.

Thanks @daria0919 . I hope your ankles feel better tomorrow. Nice run today. I guess the rest day worked. Do be careful with the tree limbs. It's scary to be running/walking and hear that crack.

Nice run @tarun_yadavA . Be careful in the ice. Do you have to drive to get places, or can you walk to get the things you need. Around here, in a rural area, we have to drive, so when they forecast ice/snow the grocery stores are swamped with people buying stuff - like it is going to be weeks before they can shop again. In reality, it is rarely 3 days.

Oh wow @laurz9191. Of course you stopped the Garmin first! I hope after the assessment and time has passed that you aren't too sore and your knee and palm are okay. That is very cold for a run.

    Nice running @yirara .

@Mari33a Great job getting out and running when you really didn't feel like it. That takes a lot of gumption.

@kbrown1527 I hope the weather clears up and you can get out for a run later in the week.

Thanks @kgirlhart . You are doing great running in the cold.

@emptydog I hope you feel better tomorrow and that you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Oh no. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well today @Scott6255 ! I hope you feel better tomorrow and that wearing your old shoes doesn't bother your legs. Sleep well.
