Hi

Hello everyone, trying to get to grips with tracking meals/workouts on the app so any advice or top tips would be appreciated. Looking forward to making more progress on my health journey in 2024

Good morning! This is actually the first time I have visited the social section of this app. I have been looking for accountability help and thinking this might be a great place to look! I saw your post and thought I would comment, as today actually marks 8 years that I have been logging my calories in this app without missing a day. Didn't realize it had been that long 🙂. The key for me was consistency, it had to become a habit. Every single thing that goes is my mouth gets recorded when it happens. Whether it was something healthy, or that piece of cake I just had to have. If your are not honest with the app and what you are eating, the point of tracking calories is lost. There will be good days and bad. Actually, let's not say bad. Good days and days with opportunies for growth. I lost 40 pounds back in 2021, I have gained about 20 of it back. But by tracking everything I ate I can see why I gained it back. When you are seeing everything you are eating/drinking accurately you are able to make better choices. One thing that really helped me was a little kitchen scale. I weigh and measure everything. I use liquid coffee creamer, and I can tell you how many mls I use in each cup. I might be a little OCD with my tracking, but it is great information to have. The next step for me is to take what I have learned and redefine my motivativations. I am learning how to give myself grace (but east for sure), but it is a journey and this is just one step on the path fur new right niw 🙂
