Happy New Year to all. Although I have been using this app for sometime now it’s time for me to stop wasting time, money and time to start holding myself accountable for my weight loss journey. I have had this app for at least 6 months. I love the tracking but find myself lost with other tools. Anyone else feel overwhelmed and not sure what they should be doing with all the other tools? I would like to search recipes especially Stay Fit Moms who I found on TikTok but can’t seem to find a search bar when looking for certain recipes or trying to find members to follow. Any tips on finding recipes that are macro friendly I would greatly appreciate. Here’s to 2024 being all of our year to hit goals, become healthier and happier with ourselves 😊

    I don't know about the other tools you write about. I do know that MFP is a powerful tool for tracking calories and fitness.

    Have you read some of the "most important posts" in the community? For example:

    Set some goals. Make them challenging but achievable. Make sure they are measurable, and give them a deadline. If you have both long- and short-term goals, that is great. Then track everything. If you're trying to lose fat, set a reasonable calorie deficit and try to hit it, on average, every week. If you go a little over, as long as you're still below your maintenance calories, you'll still lose fat. It will just be slower. Your responsibility is to log completely and honestly. Then after a month or so, you can see if your results match your expectations. If the do - keep going. Then reset your calorie goal from time to time as you lose fat because the less you way, the less fuel it takes to sustain the smaller you. If your results don't match your expectations, tweak your goals.
