Forget the phony commercials you see on TV - actual fat loss takes time.

2 pounds a week is great (when you have lots of weight to lose). As you get closer to goal weekly weight loss is going to be slower still.

You are being too impatient. Please have a look again at the initial setup and the different weightloss per week options. The highest is 2lbs/week. And this is only meant for very obese people. Thus if you're very obese then you're totally doing well.

There isn't enough info in the OP to go from.

How much do you have to lose? If it's a lot, you should see a few pounds loss just from water weight alone if you're in a deficit.

Are you tracking calories, i.e. are you confident you're in a deficit?

Are you weighing daily at the same time and conditions, and using an average, or are you looking at a one-time snapshot which can fluctuate by multiple pounds based on various factors?

How much did you think you were set up to lose?

You need to give it a few weeks, maybe more than a month if female, and ignore the first week anyway due to likely water weight loss. What I mean is, look at your rate of loss from week 2 on to judge progress.

Clearly you need to buy some of my famous magic weight-loss dust. It's not that expensive when you really think about it. I mean who doesn't want to get to their goal weight before the end of the month. For only four easy payments of $229.95, you too can lose that annoying fat around your middle without dieting. Eat what you want. Just sprinkle some of the dust on your head at the recommended interval and watch it melt away. In fact, it works better if you eat eclairs. See my website to order, and get your credit card read. http://www.magicfatlosspowder.not.a.real.website

Just kidding. Yes, two pounds in eight days is pretty fast, and even though you want it to be faster, the truth is it will probably slow down. There's an initial loss that most people experience that's both water weight (associated with glycogen which is how your body stores quick energy) and with reduced "food in transit" from you actually eating a smaller mass of food.

The trick is to develop good habits. Don't do anything you're not willing to do forever. Then the real magic is when you STICK TO IT even when you're not motivated. You can do this if you want.

It wouldn't hurt to peruse some of the "Most Helpful Posts."

Girl you are doing great! You are losing at a healthy rate and remember as women our hormone cycles play a huge role in our weight loss. Some times we can work really hard and not see the results but that does not mean that our bodies are not changing.

Personally, I do not always step on the scale, I like to buy a really nice pair of jeans or dress 1 or 2 sizes down. Sometimes we lose inches before pounds.

@kree84 Just curious, what do you expect to lose in a day, a week, or a month? What do you think is normal weight loss? And where do you get that information?

If we start there we can remove the misconceptions and build a better foundation.
