Hey all, Charlene here. I'm 58yo, 5'8", married 40 years, 6 kids, 9 grandkids, and I'm a caregiver for the elderly so they can stay in their homes.
Goal weight: 150
April 30: 182.3

Okay, yanno.... That's hilarious. I can claim I had actual weight loss for the month of May! Can't get smaller loss than a tenth of a pound, but I'll take it. π€ͺ Cracks me up.
Yesterday I took another 8 bags of destash stuff to Goodwill. I went to work, did grocery shopping, made dinner, washed dishes, and gave myself a pedicure since it's sandal season.
Thank you for your welcome friendliness and encouragement. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you and sharing in your journey stories next month!2 -

@lifechanges2day The muscle relaxant could be it. The Ortho doctor put me on a high dose of ibuprofen for two weeks - when I got my blood results back (I have a physical next week) there were some numbers that were out of wack. I looked up the reason for them, and they ibuprofen usage was one of the things pointed out. Then I looked at the ibuprofen and it said you could retain water. I am off now, and have dropped since. Medications definitely have an impact on our system! And like @Numer1ca mentioned, sore muscles also retain water.
For anyone not mentioned - stay consistent - log everyday - keep showing up! That's my tip for today! LOL.

Made it! 9.4lbs this month!! I had all my calories in Taco Bell yesterday for lunch and kept myself tight that night with a lot of water to flush out the sodium. Going hard these last two months and taking a small breather next month with a smaller goal. We will be leaving for vacation for 11 days too so going to give myself some grace. Great job this month everybody!!
@iLive2Walk it has been so tough to get there in a month and I have been VERY strict. I am def giving myself a break next month and will set my goal closer to 4-6 pounds instead of the 8-10 I have been doing. You are doing a great job sticking to it for so long and looking great!3 -

05/31-181.8-(Trend Weight 185.5)- I usually donβt weigh on Fridays but I went to bed early putting at least 6 hours between last food of the night and weigh-in of the morning so I stepped on it. Pleased with the progress. Gotta stay strong. Currently babysitting DGS as usual, but this week he has strep throat and pink-eye. Pink eye is going around the elementary side of the school. Oh Joy! Iβm down 3.8 lbs this round. My goal was 4 lbs so it is really close. Iβm so happy Iβve finally had a decent month, really the first since February. Most of the progress has been at the end though. May 1: 305.4 No water aerobics class today, as I was needed to watch my youngest grandchild (a 3 month old girl ) while my son and his fiancΓ© took care of some phone calls with the insurance company. They were rear ended by a pickup truck yesterday, (the whole rear of their car was smashed in) and thank God they came through it with only whiplash. The baby came out without a scratch, even though the back seat and her car seat were shoved all the way into the back of the front seat. They were very, very fortunate. My husband took us out to eat afterwards to a new-to-us restaurant. The food was really good, and while I ate mostly healthy and stayed under my calories for the day, I did indulge in some breaded and fried zucchini. So we'll see what that's going to cost me, when I weigh myself tomorrow.

I stepped on something a while ago that is stuck in the bottom of my foot. Long story short, the doctor couldnβt get it out. I had an x-ray and we are waiting to see what is in my foot. I knew I was going to the doctor today, so I did my walking earlier in the week. I preplanned my off day. And I stayed on point with food logging. I did give myself a treat today of 3 little chocolate and a fried egg sandwich. I figure I deserve something nice since itβs Friday and I had to have my stupid tetanus shot. Ugh. Plus, a blood draw, because good things just keep on coming!
*** Goals***
I went back to tracking today. Non-weight goals are to make my porridge every day and have standardized meals, with a different salad or soup added in. Exercise goals are to stretch 2x a day and walk 5 days a week, minimum a mile. Get more sleep.
